She stared at him in a daze.

The man’s eyes were deep like a black hole, as if he wanted to swallow her whole.

"Do you really believe it?" she murmured, questioning him.

"I believe!" He pulled her firmly into his arms, his voice hoarse and labored, "Even if you’re lying to , I’ll accept it!"

If she truly had ulterior motives, so what, at least he had enough reason to keep her by his side!

Yan Sijue thought fiercely, as long as she agreed, no matter what happened, he would never let this woman leave even half a step, nor would he give her a chance to betray him!

Mu Yiliang leaned on his shoulder, her heartache was like being cut by a knife.

She had to admit, she couldn’t stand it—couldn’t stand that he would marry another woman, even if he had no feelings for that woman.

She thought of that day when he lay on the ground, writhing in pain, and at that ti, she promised him she would stay by his side. Although he had no recollection at all.

According to her nature, she probably couldn’t bring herself to do such a thing...to willingly tell him that she saved him, and because of it, was bedridden for half a month, nearly losing her life. It was really harder than ascending to heaven.

Maybe even then he wouldn’t believe her.

But she couldn’t wait any longer, she couldn’t bear to see him marry another woman. So, even if she risked looking like she was doing it out of gratitude, even if she would be doubted by him again, she accepted it.

It was at least better than doing nothing.

"Yan Sijue... I need to tell you sothing..." she softly began.

The man’s body trembled slightly.

"That day... the day you were attacked, I was there too..." she bit her lip, continuing, "Originally, my intention was to take Xiaoze away. That day, you were wearing Xiaoze’s bracelet, so I thought Xiaoze was with you and made a plan."

His grip seed to loosen, and his body trembled even more.

"But when I arrived there, you had already passed out..." she recalled the scene from that day.

Suddenly, she sensed sothing was wrong!

Doesn’t he have anything he wants to ask? Why hasn’t he said anything... and why is he trembling so much?

Mu Yiliang felt a sinking feeling in her heart, pulled herself out of his embrace, and discovered that Yan Sijue was in a bizarre state!

His face was pale, his forehead was covered in cold sweat, and he was convulsing in pain!

"Yan Sijue! What’s wrong with you?" she was shocked.

The man barely opened his eyes, glanced at her, and seed to use all his strength to squeeze out two words: "Leave..."

But how could Mu Yiliang leave at such a mont? She tried to comfort him, but he only grew more anguished!

Then she noticed that his hand, which had been cut by a glass shard earlier, was bleeding again because he was gripping so hard!

She suddenly realized sothing...

Less than half a month had passed since that day, even if he was trying to quit drugs, he likely hadn’t succeeded in such a short ti, especially given his history of withdrawal!

So, it must be happening again!

Realizing this, Mu Yiliang imdiately searched his body: "Si Jue, where’s your phone? I’ll call Yang Ru to take you to the hospital, you can’t endure this alone here! Ah—"

In extre pain, Yan Sijue suddenly grabbed her shoulder tightly and bit down hard on it!
