Chapter 1303: Chapter 956, Blood Clan Battle

Gold and Silver Island, Shanaela’s Mansion.

The crystal chandelier cast an amber glow. Shanaela gently waved her hand, and the skeleton attendant pushed open the sealed doors.

The rchants, who were anxious last night, were now laughing and chatting as they poured into the courtyard.

“I told you, how could heroes easily fight amongst themselves?” The jeweler brushed off crumbs from his sleeve. “Coming all this way just to attack Gold and Silver Island?”

“You weren’t saying that last night, you even suggested everyone look for ships to leave the island. Now you’re acting tough.” Soone interrupted with a sneer.

The crowd burst into laughter, as if the events of last night had never occurred.

After all, if sothing had really happened, it would have happened last night.

There’s been no news since, so it must be just as the Fifth Elder said, the association intervened to suppress the conflict.

But most people still headed to the port in groups.

To see if there really were any ships from the Church, whether departures were being allowed or not.

Reception Room.

The Wood Elf Fifth Elder stirred a silver spoon in his teacup, producing a few crisp clinking sounds. “Does the Island Lord’s Mansion have anything specific?”

Shanaela quickly typed a ssage on her phone and sent it, then said, “The Church’s fleet has been sunk, Gold and Silver Island is safe now.”

The battle status of the ships can be seen through the Jade Sea Sand Table.

Shanaela continued to keep in contact with the Island Lord’s Mansion via her phone, receiving outside information promptly.

“Sunk?” The Fifth Elder’s eyes narrowed. “Weren’t they supposed to be diating? How did it turn into open warfare?”

Shanaela said, “diation requires both sides willing to sit at the negotiation table, and obviously, the other side wasn’t willing.”

Last night, to reassure these people, Shanaela publicly declared that the association was diating the conflict between both sides.

Having said that, she had to continue the narrative from last night.

The Fifth Elder’s expression was sowhat grave, hesitating several tis before slowly saying, “Teaming up with Wu Heng’s leader seems rather risky.”

The Wood Elves and Gold and Silver Island haven’t been cooperating for long, yet issues keep arising.

The relationship with the Church has now escalated to direct confrontation.

“Any investnt carries a certain amount of risk,” Shanaela said, standing up and looking out the window.

The Fifth Elder raised an eyebrow, “Shanaela, you sound like one of Gold and Silver Island’s people now.”

“Just stating the facts. If the Wood Elves remain indecisive, it will only lead to the continued decline of our race.” Shanaela turned and leaned against the windowsill.

One is love, the other is race.

Shanaela hopes for both sides to cooperate closely, even to bind the Wood Elves and Wu Heng together.

The Wood Elves need a hero to act as a backbone and support for the race.

Wu Heng, in turn, needs resources, not just wealth and materials, but more so population, land, and reputation.

Both sides can get what they need, making things easier for Shanaela.

The Fifth Elder pondered for a mont, then said, “Perhaps you’re right, I’ll write to the Elder’s Council and fully report the situation here, to hear their opinion.”

Ding Dong~!

As they were speaking, the phone in Shanaela’s hand chid with a notification, and she looked down at the incoming ssage.

Her eyes slightly brightened.

She looked up again, smiling, “I need to make a trip to the Island Lord’s Mansion. Perhaps you should wait until I bring back accurate news before writing the letter.”

Island Lord’s Mansion, Bathroom.

Warm steam swirled in the bathroom.

Wu Heng leaned back against the edge of the bathtub, eyes closed, reflecting on this skirmish with the Church.

Now, his strength was already enough to face two heroes at sea simultaneously.

He recalled the last fight with the forr Pope, where he had struggled greatly, ending in a near-death victory.

This ti, his combat power had obviously improved significantly.

Apart from his own high attributes, he greatly relied on the boost from the [Water Drawing Technique].

Ancient skills…

Wu Heng opened his eyes and stared at the ceiling, his brows slightly furrowed.

Logically, spells and skills should constantly evolve and strengthen over ti, but the reality was that those ancient inheritances were even more terrifying.

A single [Water Drawing Technique] allowed him to fight two heroes at sea; what if he had more ancient skills?

“Looks like I need to improve my relationship with Her Lady,” Wu Heng murmured under his breath.

From her, he should be able to obtain more information about ancient skills.

However, the current focus should be on the Church’s movents and the association’s reactions.

This ti’s naval ambush almost wiped out the Church’s elite Holy War forces, even the new Pope fell into his hands.

Are there still heroes over at the Holy Hall?

Would that Divine Spirit be alerted by this?

These are all matters he needs to pay attention to.

“Fighting with heroes is no longer an issue, but I have to be careful not to draw the attention of the Divine Spirits.”

“I still need to accelerate faith collection.”

Only by quickly fulfilling the panel requirents can he ensure he has enough cards to deal with higher-level threats.

As thoughts flowed, he again thought of the dwarven ga of squares.

It can control hero-level powerhouses to forcibly engage in a ga of squares.

This ability is simply astonishing.

“This thing, couldn’t also be related to the modern world?”

It seems like the fantasy culture in the modern world began with the popularization of a board ga.

More terrifyingly, this artifact seems to have self-awareness, capable of actively sowing discord and forcibly altering rules.

If not for the elves and dwarves using Exemption Scrolls, their casualties would have been even more severe.
