Ling Momo and Chen Wanru suddenly turned their heads when they heard those two words. Then, both saw the tall figure standing a ter away.
The man they hadn’t seen for a long ti still looked as distinguished as ever.
His expression was so calm that it was sowhat frightening, his gaze fixed on Ling Momo, deep and cold.
Ling Momo didn’t speak; she just stared unblinkingly at Li Qingshen, her eyes calm, but her heart felt uneasy.
He must have heard what she said.
He knew, didn’t he, that her initial kindness and approach toward him had a purpose?

Ling Momo felt an inexplicable fear as she watched Li Qingshen before her.
Even the usually adept Chen Wanru seed slightly awkward and stiff in her expression.
Li Qingshen and Ling Momo looked at each other for a long ti.

After an unknown amount of ti had passed, when the traffic police arrived, Li Qingshen finally turned and walked slowly towards them, murmured sothing to the officer, who nodded, and then they all left.
Then, Li Qingshen walked back toward Chen Wanru and Ling Momo. He first glanced sideways at Chen Wanru’s car, his deanor aloof yet handso, and then pulled out a check from his pocket and handed it to Chen Wanru, "Call Asheng, he will take care of fixing your car; this is for the damages."
His voice was very cold.
After he spoke, he turned indifferently, opened his car door, and Jian Chenxi alighted from the vehicle, giving Ling Momo a mocking smile before following Li Qingshen into his car.
Ling Momo stood still. She watched Li Qingshen’s car start, drive away, and grow increasingly distant. In that mont, she had a premonition that the distance between her and him was also stretching bit by bit.
After Chen Wanru’s car got smashed, they made a phone call, got a ride, and picked them both up. In the car, Ling Momo stared blankly out the window while Chen Wanru kept silent. After a while, Ling Momo turned to Chen Wanru and said, "Thank you."
Chen Wanru knew what Ling Momo was referring to, smiled, and remained silent.
Ling Momo then muttered, "I’m sorry."
The atmosphere in the car grew even quieter. After a long ti, Ling Momo slowly started, "Sister Wanru, I didn’t know you did those things to help . If I had known you were doing it for , I definitely wouldn’t have ssed it up."
"Actually, Jian Chenxi is right. I really am a waste!"
Chen Wanru looked at her with a pained expression, "Don’t say that."
Ling Momo leaned against the car seat and after a while, she chuckled softly, though her expression was sowhat defeated. "Sister Wanru, it’s true... Look, I will never be a match for Jian Chenxi. She’s smarter than . Didn’t you see just now?"
Chen Wanru’s voice was heavy, "Smart? You an despicable! I have never t a woman as vile and low as Jian Chenxi. So, you should not compare yourself to her!"
Ling Momo looked out the window, not speaking again. Countless billboards flashed by her, and suddenly, she felt very cold.
