After finishing his drink, Jian Chenxi escorted Lu Niange by the hand to the other tables. Lu Niange had already co back to his senses and silently followed Jian Chenxi, but for so reason, he seed intent on being contrary. He drank one glass after another in quick succession, not at all like soone who felt unwell. Jian Chenxi’s expression turned sowhat ugly, yet he still forced himself to smile.

Ling Momo had gone to the restroom midway and when she ca out, she saw Lu Niange standing in the corridor smoking. Her steps faltered slightly, but she continued to walk as if nothing was amiss. As she passed by Lu Niange, her stride was steady. However, just as she was about to take the final step past him, Lu Niange suddenly snuffed out the cigarette in his hand and straightened up. His voice was a bit hoarse as he said, "Momo, have you been well recently?"

Ling Momo did not speak, nor did she pause her step. The clear, rhythmic sound of her high heels resonated, each tap striking at Lu Niange’s heart, bringing waves of piercing pain. He watched her retreating figure; perhaps it was the alcohol, but he continued to talk to himself, "You look good; I hope you are well. Not just now, but I hope that every mont of your life, you are well!"

When Lu Niange said this, his tone was especially sincere.

Ling Momo suddenly stopped in her tracks, slowly turning around and looking at Lu Niange from a distance. She had to admit that tonight, as the groom, he looked even more handso than before. Unfortunately, as dashing as he was, he was no longer the Lu Niange that made her heart flutter.

She stared into Lu Niange’s eyes, silent for a while, before she finally spoke in an indifferent tone, "Lu Niange, after leaving you, I’ve indeed been doing very well."

A shadow flickered in the depths of Lu Niange’s eyes, but he nodded and said, "That’s good."

After finishing, Lu Niange even managed a smile. He looked at Ling Momo’s face without blinking, seemingly a bit awkward, his voice trembling slightly as he murmured, "That’s good, that’s good..."

Ling Momo withdrew her gaze and said, "Goodbye."

Lu Niange also said, "Goodbye."

Then Ling Momo turned and left without delay.

Lu Niange stared at Ling Momo’s figure, watching until she was long out of sight, yet in a blurred vision, he seed to see her walking toward him, her face calm and beautiful, with a shy smile.

He knew that the Ling Momo who once loved him had died, and he also understood that in the depths of Ling Momo’s heart, the Lu Niange who once loved her had died too.

Both had died.

That young love, their first love, had all perished in the passage of ti, lost in a series of mistakes and mischances.

When Ling Momo ca out of the restroom, she encountered an acquaintance.

The so-called acquaintance was her and Jian Chenxi’s university classmate.

Ever since she had dropped out, she had not stayed in touch with her university classmates.

It was Jian Chenxi who called out to her. He had just changed into a new suit and stood amidst a group of won, calling her na, "Ling Momo."

Ling Momo turned her head and saw those people. Her expression turned sowhat pale, and as she hesitated whether or not to step forward, Jian Chenxi had already feigned enthusiasm and approached, pulling Ling Momo over.
