But in front of Lu Xun, Wei Ruqin didn’t dare to lose her temper; she also knew that once Ding Han ca back down, Lu Xun would be her entire support.

After taking the dicine, Wei Ruqin lay down and soon beca drowsy, mumbling to herself.

Lu Xun was about to leave when he suddenly heard Wei Ruqin say, "Ling, don’t bla ."

"Did Miss co by just now?" Lu Xun stopped in his tracks.

"No, just after the master left, the lady ignored Dr. Zhang’s advice and took out so old trinkets. She sat there in a daze and began to cry," the servant pointed to a chest next to the bedside table. Judging by the look of the chest, it was sothing very old.

Lu Xun opened the chest; it was a black box similar to one used by the military, still with a lock hanging on the outer box.

It must be pictures of Ling from her childhood, Lu Xun thought as he took several photos out of the chest. The Ding Family had many strange rules, for instance, photographs of Ding Ling and Wei Ruqin together were almost non-existent. Not to ntion photos of just Ding Ling and Wei Ruqin. Wei Ruqin kept those pictures in the chest, probably also worried that Ding Ling would get angry upon seeing them.

The photos were quite old; several of them had even been torn up and patched back together. They were pictures of a baby, from less than a month old to taking its first tottering steps.

"This is..." Lu Xun’s pupils contracted abruptly as he saw a group photograph. Wei Ruqin, a male soldier, and "Ling"??

"Year 2050, Ding Hao, Wei Ruqin, and Ding Ling photographed at the military region’s photo studio."

The photo of Lu Xun with "Ling" in his hands had beco blurred due to poor preservation, which had also been a regret of Lu Xun’s for many years. The mory of "Ling" was also gradually fading in his mind; what Lu Xun rembered more were "Ling’s" bright eyes. When Ding Ling was not being noisy, her eyes were very similar to those of "Ling" in his mory. He had always believed this.

However, when he saw the photo preserved by Wei Ruqin, his mories started to beco incomplete.

"Ding Hao, Ding Ling, they..." They were not Ding Han, nor were they Ding Ling. The happy family of three in the photo was not the three people in Ding’s Mansion. No, definitely not.

In Lu Xun’s mind, it was as if the echoes of an explosion resonated once again, even more startling than the one before.

"That woman said just now: ’Ling, happy birthday.’" Lu Xun walked out to the balcony and looked down at Ding Han’s study.

Who is Ding Hao? And how could Wei Ruqin be with Ding Han? Ding Ling? She is the real "Ling".

"So I have been wrong all along," a tumultuous wave surged inside Lu Xun. He now wished he could rush into Ding Han’s study to clear up everything but he couldn’t ask.

The light in Ding Han’s study went out. After a while, Lu Xun saw Ding Han escorting Wuyue out, and they seed to be talking. Ding Han then returned to the mansion, and Wuyue did not leave imdiately; she lingered in the garden of the Ding’s Mansion for a while.

It was already midnight, and Wuyue stood between the moonlight and various decorative lights, her figure elongated and slender.

The glint of a dagger, Wuyue flipped out the blade.

Just over an hour ago, she had the chance to stab "Ding Ling" in the throat with that dagger. But she hesitated.

"Why hesitate, Xiao Wu," Wuyue turned her back to the moonlight, looking at the "5" on the dagger. That day on the high seas, she could have killed "Ding Ling" in the cabin while watching those soldiers, after listening to Ji Shanshan’s venomous curses, chatting and laughing with the bishop.

"The next ti I find the chance, I must personally use this dagger to take the lives of Ji Shanshan and Ding Ling. Ji Shanshan, I want to see how big a storm you can stir up," the reflection of a figure appeared on the dagger.

Wuyue turned around and saw Lu Xun. She nodded, put away the dagger, and left Ding’s Mansion.

"I must find out who that woman is," Lu Xun muttered to himself, who exactly is the person locked up in the Octagonal Building’s Underground Prison?

"And G8, I must figure it out quickly; G8, Ji Shanshan, and Ling... their relations," Lu Xun was very clear, he wouldn’t get anything out of the Ding Family’s mouths.

After midnight marks the beginning of a new day. The turmoil in Ding’s Mansion had just cald down. On an inconspicuous road in Bazhou City, a clash had just begun in several parked cars.

A woman carrying the scent of Dark Night played with a dun-colored grenade like an elegant pantheress.

Four or five security guards surrounded a stretched Lincoln, a portly man cowered inside, not daring to make a sound.

"Ji Shanshan, you crazy woman," the man scread, the one sitting inside was none other than the bishop of the David Sect.

He was supposed to go to a birthday party tonight but got tailed halfway there. He had been trapped in this fork in the road for a full two hours on his way to attend a gathering at the Ding’s Mansion. A car following behind his couldn’t be shaken off.

After the car was forced into the lane and three or four more cars arrived, when he was driven to a dead end, that woman who should have been dead already jumped off the car, and as the bishop saw that face, he let out a scream.

"Bishop, long ti no see," Ji Shanshan said with a smile, the grenade in her hand that could explode at any mont drew a terrifying arc. (To be continued.
