"Hey, don’t say you didn’t get into the Beijing University."
"I have." Long Yifan said with a calm expression, "But that is not the problem...Gu Aihan can we break off our engagent?"
Gu Aihan’s grip on the phone tightened, and her heart skipped a beat. Though she didn’t have much respect for Long Yifan, it would have been a different thing if Gu Jin could have him.
She will never hand over to Gu Jin, sothing she has under her own control, however, Long Yifan’s next words tempted her,
"I can fulfill any of your requests. Money, resources, and connections. Na anything and I will give it to you."
"Anything?" Gu Aihan asked, her voice was carefully neutral, though a hint of greed sparkled in her eyes.
"Anything," Long Yifan confird, his voice steady but weary.
He was prepared to pay any price to free himself from the impending chain of their engagent.
Gu Aihan leaned back on her bed, weighing her options.
If she agreed, she could amass enough resources to bolster her standing within the Gu family, securing her position even if her secrets ca to light.
But if she declined, she would continue with her plan of marrying into the Long family, tightening her hold on the Long fortune and making Gu Jin’s life more miserable.
After a mont of silence, she spoke.
"I’ll think about it, Yifan. But don’t hold your breath. You know how important this engagent is for our families."
Long Yifan clenched his jaw on the other end of the line, frustration bubbling inside him.
"Just think about it," he said before ending the call abruptly.
Gu Aihan smirked as she placed her phone down. She wasn’t done playing her ga yet.
And if she could manipulate both Long Yifan and Gu Jin into positions of weakness, all the better.
Jasmine who had just entered the room heard her brother’s room and was instantly happy.
"Yifan you have finally thought it through? Are you truly going to break off the engagent? I am so happy for you..."
Long Yifan raised his hand and shook his head,
"I am not. If she asks for anything I will just fulfil her request as compensation that I could never love her."
"Yifan! You f*cking idiot! Why are you even compensating her in the first place? She has cheated on you multiple tis already!" Jasmine said angrily.
"I know." Long Yifan said with an unnerving calm expression. It was as if the person whose life was going to be destroyed wasn’t his.
"But sister, my mother always taught to be fair. I don’t love Gu Aihan, if possible I wouldn’t marry her, but I respect my mother, so I will fulfill her last wish.
Since Gu Aihan couldn’t get my love it would be better to compensate her. Otherwise, what will be the difference between and the scumbag who marries one and love soone else?"
Jasmine’s eyes blazed with anger, her voice shaking as she said,
"So you’re just going to keep letting her walk all over you? Letting her play her gas while you suffer in silence?"
Long Yifan glanced at his sister, eyes hollow but determined.
"I just want to fulfill my mother’s last wish."
Jasmine lost her temper,
"You deserve to be alone! I just ca here to tell you that Gu Jin was in the sa university as you and you should make so move but...seeing how dumb you are, I think it would be better if you stay single."

Gu Jin was thinking about the elents she should awaken.
According to space, she could awaken 2 more elents.
Since she had free ti, Gu Jin looked through many things and realized the criteria for awakening a new elent.
The first elent that she awakened was the Mutated Plant after which she used the awakening stone and awakened the Dark Fire elent.
So instead of one primary elent, she had two primary elents. Mutated Plant and Dark Fire.
When she reached the interdiate rank of the Mutated Plant, she awakened the Fire elent.
While her thunder elent was a result of reaching the advanced rank of Mutated Plant.
As for necromancy, it was awakened because she had reached the interdiate rank of Dark Fire elent.
Now she was left with one more elent to awaken because she had reached the advanced rank of Dark Fire elent.
However, according to the space, one more elent could be awakened since she reached the interdiate rank of Necromancy elent.
This led her to the conclusion that as long as her elents were ancient, or mutated, she could awaken each elent at its each rank.
As for other basic elents like fire and thunder, she won’t be able to awaken any elent at their any rank.
Normally the mage of the magic world could awaken an elent at every alternate level. That is advanced and emperor rank.
The rich kids at the capital on the other hand had so pill, that helped them to awaken an elent at every rank they crossed of their primary elent.
So in a way, she was lucky to have a body that helped her awaken more elents. However, the cost to raise all of these elents was too much for her.
If only she was so rich heiress...then she would definitely be thrilled. But without money...even this advantage seed as a disadvantage!
Gu Jin sighed.
After thinking for a while she had already decided on the first elent that she would awaken. Space.
