In just 5 minutes his mana recovered by 50%.
"What the f*ck!" Liu Sinhaio exclaid.
"What happened?" Tang Guan asked with irritation.
"These pills are magical!" Yi Ran exclaid.
"Hm?" Tang Guan was so tired that his entire body was aching and just when he was about to use his mana recovery pill, he heard Yi Ran’s words.
"Aren’t pills supposed to be magical?" Tang Guan shook his head.
"No! She ans that these pills are much more effective than normal mana recovery pills. I guess...it is at least 2 tis more effective." Liu Sunhao explained.
Tang Guan was suspicious when he heard their words but he didn’t take Gu Jin’s pills and used his own pills.
Zhang Wei too didn’t comnt.
However, the next scene made them shocked. The 4 mbers who were so tired earlier that they could hardly move, were now fighting as if only 2 hours had passed since they arrived at the battlefield.
On the other hand, Zhang Wei and Tang Guan were having a hard ti. Every 20 minutes they have to take a mana recovery pill.
Finally, both of them tactically gave up and took 2 pills from Gu Jin.
As expected the fresh and cool sensation washed over Zhang Wei and Tang Guan as they consud the pills.
Within minutes, their energy and mana levels surged, and the exhaustion that had gripped their bodies dissipated significantly.
Zhang Wei couldn’t help but be impressed.
"Su Jin, these pills are extraordinary," he admitted, feeling his strength return. "Thank you."
Gu Jin nodded.
The group continued to fight for the next 1 hour without feeling tired.
This magical scene was seen by a middle-aged man with a pot belly. He narrowed his eyes.
If Zhang Wei was able to see the middle-aged man, he would know, that he was the person who had sat at the counter.
His na was Xiang Li.
Xiang Li usually disdained small rcenary groups and followed the principle of bullying the weak and fearing the strong.
Whenever he was scolded by his supervisor, he would either vent it on his wife, his children, his subordinates, or the small rcenary groups.
There were various ways to vent his anger. But the safest way was to make things difficult for the person on whom he wanted to vent his anger.
Today too, he was scolded by his superior, hence he started to look for a target and when he encountered Zhang Wei’s team he was delighted in his heart.
They have an interdiate-rank mage in their team, aning he could question their capacity as a leader.
So he did.
At first, he tried to provoke them by reducing that boy Su Jin’s breaks. But when they didn’t react much, he directly moved to the next step.
Not giving them any break.
Just now when he saw their painful and despairing expression, he felt a strange sense of satisfaction in his heart.
A rush of adrenaline hit him when he saw how even though Zhang Wei wanted to get angry, he couldn’t considering their difficult situation.
Just as he was enjoying the scene, suddenly he saw Zhang Wei moving toward the other group to enquire.
Xiang Li chuckled.
He used his Sound Magic to hear the conversation between Zhang Wei and the soldier.
Does Zhang Wei think he can report this matter? How naive!
Xiang Li then heard the conversation between Zhang Wei and his group, and his eyes narrowed.
This Su Jin was truly sothing.
Was he ready to give away Mana Recovery pills just like that?
Xiang Li started to wonder whether he was nitpicking on the wrong team. How could a mber of the small rcenary group have so many mana recovery pills?
However, if that boy nad Su Jin truly belonged to so prestigious family, then he would have committed a mistake.
Xiang Li’s forehead creased with worry as he considered the implications of his actions.
No! He can’t take a risk.
Xiang Li turned around and motioned to one of the guards to co near him.
"If that team waves a break signal again, send out so solider there. Understood?"
"Yes sir." The guard said but in his heart, he was surprised.
From the mont Xiang Li asked him not to send any soldiers even if Zhang Wei’s group asked for a break, he knew that Zhang Wei’s group was on Xiang Li’s target.
He pitted them in his heart but he wasn’t surprised.
But now hearing Xiang Li’s words, he couldn’t help but feel surprised.
He glanced at Zhang Wei’s group one last ti before leaving.
After 2 hours, Zhang Wei again asked for a break, and this ti his signal was answered.
A few soldiers ca in his direction imdiately.
Zhang Wei didn’t bother to say anything and left with his team mbers.
The mont they reached the shed, they lay on the beds prepared by the army.
"Hu...I am so f*cking tired." Xu Mingtao sighed.
"I swear that if they had not sent any help even now, I would change sides and attack the Undercity Division along with the best." Liu Sunhao said in a loud voice.
Zhang Wei was too tired to comnt on anything and ignored him.
Gu Jin agreed with Liu Sunhao in her heart.
After taking a break for 15 minutes, the group started to recover their mana through cultivation.
One hour flashed past and their break was about to end. Once the break was over, the team stood up to leave.
Suddenly Xiang Li appeared in front of them.
Zhang Wei’s face turned frosty.
Xiang Li smiled and said in a slightly flattering tone,
"How are you all feeling now?"
"Good." Zhang Wei replied in one word.
But in his heart, he wasn’t able to understand why Xiang Li was behaving so differently. It was as if he wasn’t the one who had made things difficult for them just a few hours ago.
Xiang Li cursed Zhang Wei in his heart, but on the surface, he continued to maintain his smile and suddenly said,
"I heard that you received your break 2 hours late. How about this, you all rest for 30 minutes more? I will only deduct 20 points from each."
20 points each? Won’t they have to pay 120 points? To earn 120 points they have to kill 24 beasts!
It was their mistake, to begin with! How could they compensate and take advantage at the sa ti?
"Hey old man, how shaless you are? First, it was you who had made things difficult for us, and now you want to act all generous?" Xu Mingtao snapped, unable to contain her frustration.
Even though Zhang Wei didn’t say the reason, everyone understood why they got their break after so much delay.
However, no one blad Su Jin.
How could they, when Su Jin wasn’t at fault at all?
Xiang Li’s face darkened, and he said in a cold tone,
"How dare you talk to like that? Do you know who I am?"
Xu Mingtao’s face turned red with anger, and she stepped forward, ready to give Xiang Li a piece of her mind.
If he doesn’t know who he is, he should ask his father, why was he asking them.
But Zhang Wei held up a hand to stop her, signaling for calm.
"Xu Mingtao, hold on," Zhang Wei said, his voice steady.
Xu Mingtao shut her mouth but she didn’t forget to glare at Xiang Li.
Xiang Li snorted and decided to teach this b*tch a lesson later.
Anyway, he has to just avoid, that guy nad Su Jin, and everything else will be fine.
Just thinking about his Xu Mingtao will beg him later when he would hire a goon to rape her, Xiang Li felt a strange kind of delight.
Suddenly Tang Guan stood in front of Xu Mingtao and glared at him coldly.
As a man himself, Tang Guan could sense that Xiang Li didn’t have any good intentions.
Liu Sunhao stood in front of Yi Ran while Zhang Wei said in a tone filled with danger,
"Leader Xiang please control your expression. Even though we are a small rcenary group we still have connections of our own. If sothing bad happens to any of my mbers I won’t sit quietly."
Xiang Li was instantly furious.
Does this bastard Zhang Wei think he has enough social standing to talk with him like that? And what does he an by he has a connection?
Xiang Li chuckled in his heart. Even if Zhang Wei knows any high-ranking authority, he won’t be able to arrest him(Xiang Li).
After all, he was the brother-in-law of Sergent Major Du!
Xiang Li snorted and said coldly,
"Zhang Wei, I am being nice by giving you this offer?"
"Did anyone ask for it?" A cold voice asked.
Xiang Li turned to look at Su Jin who was staring right back at him with coldness in his eyes and for a mont he almost staggered back.
