As the Catalopes charged blindly forward, their senses overwheld by the chaos of battle, the team watched with bated breath as they drew closer and closer to the edge of the gorge.
And then, with a sudden burst of speed, the Catalopes surged forward, their montum carrying them over the edge and into the waiting embrace of the rushing river below.
The team held their breath as they watched the Catalopes disappear from view, swept away by the powerful current of the river.
A mont later, the sounds of battle faded into silence as the last of the Catalopes vanished from sight, leaving behind only the gentle rush of the river and the rustling of the wind through the trees.
"We did it," Gu Jin exclaid, her voice filled with triumph as she surveyed the scene before her.
Liu Sunhao looked at the agitated Catalopes that were trying to win back in their direction and asked,
"But why are they so hell-bent on attacking us?"
It was right to say that Catalopes would indeed attack humans once they saw them but the aggression showed by the Catalopes before was...too strange.
Zhang Wei carefully observed the Catalopes and said,
"Don’t know. But one thing is clear the Moonshadow forest’s beast’s hostility is unreasonably high."
Gu Jin looked at the Catalopes with a thoughtful look.
"Alright let go. We should not waste our ti here, god knows what we will encounter next." Zhang Wei sighed.
After getting into the car, the team moved forward. The trip wasn’t peaceful though. In between they kept on encountering various beasts and so mutated plants.
For Gu Jin, it was one of the best experiences.
Why?
Not only she gained experience but she also copied so of the plant beast’s attacks.
At first, when she fought with them Gu Jin thought that they were too powerful.
Though plant beasts were relatively easy to deal with, it doesn’t an they are not difficult to deal with.
The animal beast can still be attacked after holding down them down, but the plant beasts are too agile.
If you hold one branch, the other one will rise. It was simply a headache for the entire team to deal with the plant beast.
So of them even would release poisonous gas.
However, after seeing the plant beast’s various attacks, Gu Jin was impressed and she finally found her teacher.
Who would be better than the plant beast to teach her plant elent’s firepower?
Of all the elents, the plant elent was the one that was considered the weak after the water elent.
But the water elent becos useful once it reaches the advanced rank. As for the plant elent, even though it does beco powerful gradually, it still can’t compete with the water elent.
Hence it won’t be false to say, that the plant elent is considered the weakest elent.
Gu Jin too had felt the sa. When she first awakened her plant elent she wasn’t thrilled and cultivated it with a mindset, that if she wanted to awaken the next elent she needed to reach the advanced rank.
Even her teacher at school taught her that the plant elent shouldn’t be treated as the primary elent.
And if they awaken the plant elent as their first elent, they should hurriedly cultivate, reach the advanced rank to awaken another elent, and then treat that elent as their primary elent.
But as ti passed Gu Jin realized that the mutated plant elent wasn’t bad.
It was agile, easier to maintain, and consud very little mana. Gradually Gu Jin felt that the plant elents were good.
Not to ntion her plant elent even has a healing effect. Combined with the dical knowledge she had, Gu Jin felt that she was carrying a first aid kit.
After further exploring the mutated plant elent Gu Jin realized that if she didn’t use the healing spells, and instead inserted her plant elent energy, it still was enough to stop blood.
Later Gu Jin’s perspective of the [plant elent totally changed when she saw how planet elent energy could be used to inserted into pills.
Let’s not talk about the benefits of eating pills with plant energy infused in it, the re fact that plant energy can be inserted is amazing.
Gu Jin later learned that the integration of elent energy into the pills is nearly impossible.
But here she was. Not only was she able to sell the pills infused with plant energy, but she was also able to earn so much from it even though her pills were at basic levels!
That was when Gu Jin realized how wrongly she had thought about the plant elent.
So Gu Jin decided to train the plant elent under so powerful teacher.
She researched and found two to three people who were perfect for teaching her the plant elent’s true power.
However, those people hold too much power and usually don’t et people that are not useful to them.
Gu Jin did indeed have a successful startup, and her talent was indeed amazing, but that was all.
Even if she is the darling of three elders of alchemy power, she doesn’t hold any power to control the alchemy tower.
This re thought ignited the fighting power in Gu Jin’s heart. The once-mafia organization’s leader was now a nobody, but that didn’t stop her from paving the way for her bright future.
Gu Jin didn’t have the will to live but when so many people sacrificed for her, she did her best to improve herself.
To improve one needs to learn daily and hence she needs a teacher.
Since human teachers can’t teach, can’t she learn from the plant beast?
So this normal day, a unique history begins. A human decided to learn from a plant beast and one day it would known to the entire world. At that ti no one would mock her. Instead, they would wish that they too could have the plant elent.
The trip continued and before evening the group reached the undercity.
Currently, they weren’t in their best state. With all the fighting and encounter with the different beasts, they looked like beggars.
When they finally reached the destined lodge where their living arrangent was done by the governnt, the group went for a shower.
Their place of accommodation was in fact a dormitory. The room had a long wide old mattress on the ground. It was enough to accommodate 30 people and on the table were a few bottles of water.
It was wrong to say that it was a room. It was just a hall, with a long mattress and basic necessities.
To put it nicely it was a spacious room and to put it bluntly, it was a wide hall. Calling it roon was just a luxury.
The bathroom in the room though cleaned looked very disgusting because of the old tiles. For a mont Gu Jin was speechless.
She looked at the mattress and asked unconsciously,
"When was the mattress changed last ti?"
Xu Mingtao didn’t stop as she took out so blanket from her luggage placed it on the mattress and replied,
"Maybe 10 years or sothing?"
Gu Jin gulped down.
How to put it...
She had never seen poverty. Indeed when she arrived at this word, she found herself in an orphanage.
But maybe because her luck was too good or maybe because the orphanage sponsor was too good, the condition in the orphanage was good.
It was almost like a palace. However, she didn’t have the ti to explore and didn’t know whether it was beautiful or not.
Later she transferred to a prestigious magic academy and the dorm room was in good condition.
When she moved out the apartnt she lived in was beautiful, when she started living in the space which was beautiful too, she almost had no mory of any shabby place the previous host might have lived once.
Then she started living in Long Yifan’s mansion. Almost all the places she lived were beautiful.
However now...
Gu Jin took a deep breath and cald herself. It’s alright. Sotis it is important to struggle.
Hence Gu Jin the prestigious young miss who hardly ever shared her room with anyone in her last life and this life too, gritted her teeth and made her bed.
"I will sleep in the right corner." Gu Jin inford.
"Alright." Zhang Wei didn’t have strict rules for teammates to sleep together. Not to ntion he has found that this little brother of theirs hates physical contact.
After interacting with Su Jin(Gu Jin) for the past 2 days, he was totally convinced that Gu Jin was an important asset to the team and he couldn’t be offended.
Gu Jin heaved a sigh of relief. Since she was sleeping in the farther corner, and the dormitory had only 10 more people other than her team, too were sleeping far away from her, Gu Jin felt a bit comforted.
