Chapter 842: Chapter 841: The Ticket Obtained By Ability
Sui Yuan lifted her head in confusion, sowhat timidly tugging at her clothes.
“Well, a friend gave them to us.”
“Given by a friend? Your friend must be really impressive…” The other person originally wanted to inquire about their ticket purchasing channel, but the mont they heard the tickets were given, their enthusiasm deflated.
Sui Yuan shook her head, “Is that so? I don’t really understand…”
“…”
The two n, seeing her clueless expression, were sowhat impressed.
“You wouldn’t happen to have never watched a live match before, right? Your VIP seat is the best spot in the venue, usually reserved only for honored guests and prominent figures in the industry.”
Sui Yuan was startled and muttered softly, “I thought anyone could buy them…”
“…”
The two male students completely gave in and shook their heads as they returned to their seats in the back.
Once seated, they couldn’t resist sharing with a few companions, “I’ve had an eye-opener today, soone actually said VIP seats are available to anyone, I’m really impressed.”
“Whoever said that must be an outsider! They probably don’t even know what CTF is!”
“Who’s the one without any knowledge?”
Their companions asked curiously.
The two male students nudged their lips, “Those people there, sitting in the VIP area.”
The other few let out a collective “hiss” and wilted.
People who knew nothing were sitting in the best seats…
These male students were discussing in the back rows, unintentionally stirring thoughts in the mind of a young girl seated in front of them.
The girl played with her long, straight black hair, which fell over her shoulders, as she looked towards the VIP area.
Had the VIP tickets been taken by those few people?
Lu Yutian lowered her eyes.
The two blond, blue-eyed n sitting beside her exchanged a few sentences in very authentic English.
Lu Yutian understood, and the gist of their conversation was that they had co from far away to attend this event and felt uncomfortable and frustrated with where they were sitting.
These two gentlen were the distinguished guests she had invited for this occasion.
From Watson Consortium’s technical departnt on O Continent, they were highly professional network engineers, quite renowned in their field.
They had co today specifically to watch the Shadow Hunting Team’s match and for the sake of Yun Sang’s expertise in cybersecurity.
Hearing the two n’s dissatisfaction with their viewing position, Lu Yutian felt quite apologetic.
After considering for a mont, she then conjured up a graceful and appropriate smile, “Please wait here for a mont. I will go and speak with soone about this.”
Lu Yutian stood up and headed straight for the VIP area, reaching the group of Sui Yuan and the others, consisting of Fatty Hao and Shouhao, and casually appraised them.
Perhaps it was the strong air of students around those five or maybe their ordinary attire that added to Lu Yutian’s confidence.
She began speaking with a noble daughter’s poise, “I am Lu Yutian from the Lu Family, and I’d like to discuss sothing with you all.”
The chattering group of five imdiately fell silent, curious and puzzled by the person who had suddenly appeared before them.
“The Lu Family?”
When the Lu Family was ntioned, the first person that ca to mind for the group was Lu Mian.
“Which Lu Family?” Fatty Hao didn’t understand, for he knew the Lu Family in Wucheng, but there was no one nad Lu Yutian.
Lu Yutian smiled faintly, “Our Lu Family is now mainly developing in O Continent, so you might not have heard much about us in the country. However, you should all know about the Doors System, right?”
“Isn’t that the most commonly used system for computers? It’s from LOOK Company!”
Lu Yutian nodded, speaking confidently, “LOOK Company is owned by my family.”
Upon her words, the five interchanged glances, and all at once, a collective “wow” escaped them.
As they were eting soone from the company behind the most mainstream computer system for the first ti, they were rather excited.
“Excuse , what’s the matter?”
Lu Yutian could read shock and envy in their expressions, sothing she had grown accustod to.
“I was hoping you could exchange seats with ; the ticket price isn’t a problem, I’ll compensate you double.”
So it was a seat exchange.
Sui Yuan, Pang Hao and the others imdiately lost interest.
“Sorry, no exchange.” Shouhao was blunt and straightforward in his refusal.
These were tickets given to them by Brother Mian, how could they possibly exchange them? No amount of money would convince them!
Sui Yuan, Pang Hao, Shouhao, and Zhang Yanyan continued their previous conversation, directly ignoring Lu Yutian.
Only Wei Qi seed pensive, racking his brain over sothing.
Not exchange?
Being so decisively refused ca utterly unexpected to Lu Yutian. They looked like five ordinary students; how lucky they were to get tickets, and even after knowing her identity, they still refused her.
“Actually, if you’re not interested in CTF, it doesn’t matter where you sit, does it?” Lu Yutian maintained a proper smile, as though using her politeness to highlight the crudeness of the few n.
“We got these tickets fair and square, what do you care if we understand CTF or not?”
“Exactly. Besides, these were given to us by my friend, we wouldn’t exchange them for any amount of money!”
Pang Hao and the others were resolute, and Lu Yutian gained no favor from them.
“Alright.”
She nodded and turned to leave, the sound of her high heels tapping on the stairs—tap, tap—seed to carry a hint of resentnt.
It wasn’t until she had walked away for a while that Wei Qi finally rembered sothing.
“Rumor has it that this Lu Yutian is actually the female mber of the Shadow Hunting Team! What is her relationship with my idol…”
“No way.” Pang Hao looked back, “If she really is from the Shadow Hunting Team, she should be backstage right now. Plus, if she had any relationship with your idol, would she need to exchange seats with us?”
Shouhao gave a thumbs up—a worthy son of the deputy director of the criminal investigation bureau, his logic impeccable!
Wei Qi nodded, sowhat convinced.
——
Lu Yutian sat back down in the rear seats, passing by a staff mber on her way.
She stopped them and asked, “Those students in the VIP area up front, what are their backgrounds?”
The staff mber glanced over, smiled, and said, “Those seats were prepared quite a while in advance. As for their backgrounds, I’m not sure. But, to be sitting there, they must be rather important.”
After the staff mber left, Lu Yutian looked in the direction of the VIP area, her eyes dark and brooding.
Could this be the reason why Brother Yun Sang wouldn’t arrange a VIP seat for her?
——
Lu Mian was in the backstage rest area, practicing a few more rounds with the five team mbers.
Coach Ning Qun entered with a list in hand and upon seeing Lu Mian, paused, then smiled, “Miss Lu has co.”
“Hello, Coach.”
“With you here, Miss Lu, my job as a coach is so much easier. These kids really listen to you!” Ning Qun felt both gratified and a touch bittersweet.
The bitterness was because he, as a coach, seed superfluous.
The gratification ca from the fact that, with Lu Mian leading the team in practice, the results were much better.
Lu Mian smiled faintly, “Not at all, I just ca over because I was bored.”
The team mbers: …So you co to tornt us when you’re bored?
They particularly rembered the ti before college entrance exams when Lu Mian had them stay up all night for matches. They thought Lu Mian’s exam performance would be diocre, but when the results ca out…
They collectively knelt.
