Sebastian looked at Nathaniel.
As the vampire king, he obviously knew who this person was.
He rembered Elliana whimpering Nathaniel’s na in her sleep. Does that an she was talking about the to-be Dark Witch-king? What was her relationship with him?
The way he was holding her so intimately in his arms as if he was afraid that he would accidentally hurt her made Sebastian grit his teeth.
Wasn’t this too much?
Nathaniel looked into the eyes of the man with whom he worked so many tis in the past to take down all the enemies around them.
The sense of familiarity in his eyes, all because of his rank and not because they knew each other before that, made Nathaniel sigh.
It was probably a good thing that Elliana lost her mories. She would’ve died again if she had to go through this all alone.
"What happened here? Why did I find her in the forest all drenched?" Nathaniel stepped ahead, his dark aura unmatched and almost everyone stepped back, apart from Vincenzo, Alcinder, and Sebastian.
"We ca here to race and she fell into the ditch because of soone’s mistake," Vincenzo said, not letting his guard down.
Though he was talking to the prince, he could see that Nathaniel’s gaze was fixated on Sebastian, and he knew this wouldn’t end with anything good.
"Is she alright?" Sebastian asked, not caring about anything else as he felt guilty for leaving her there alone.
"Hmm," Nathaniel said, looking down at the girl who curled into his embrace, sleeping peacefully because he used his magic on her so she wouldn’t feel sadness and calm her heart.
"I know this might be her fault because I know how she acts sotis. However, I would still like to add sothing. If you guys can’t take care of her, don’t make things hard for her either," Nathaniel said to everyone before looking at Sebastian.
"And I hope the vampire King can stay away from her. I don’t want my princess hurt because soone couldn’t control his sarcastic mouth," Nathaniel said.
Sebastian imdiately felt attacked and his eyes started to darken.
What did he an by soone’s sarcastic mouth? He was surely talking about him.
"But what’s the issue? It was King Sebastian who saved her from getting hurt," Samantha added, not understanding the problem.
Nathaniel looked at the girl. He rembered that she was a good friend of Elliana in her past life too and he humd.
"You are right. He saved her, but he was also the one who called her characterless. Don’t save her if you are going to wound her more harshly," Nathaniel said, his words surprising everyone who looked at Sebastian.
He wasn’t the kind of guy who would spout just anything uselessly without a reason. What exactly happened for them to have that kind of conversation? They wondered.
At the sa ti, Azrael, who was creating all the ruckus in the sky, ca down when she saw the unconscious Elliana in Nathaniel’s hands.
Her eyes were dark and angered as she looked at Sebastian.
"Why would you treat her like that?" She asked.
Being reprimanded by people when he didn’t even know what he did so badly, Sebastian narrowed his brows.
It was true that he said so an words to her in a fit of anger because he thought she was trying to seduce him, but he was guilty of it too. Why were they acting like he killed her or bullied her physically and emotionally?
He was confused about what he was feeling and what all these foreign emotions were.
He took a deep breath and was out to speak when Vincenzo stepped ahead.
"I apologize for whatever happened here. I know you guys sent her here with the belief that we will take care of her and our relations will strengthen. Unfortunately, sothing like that took place. It was my negligence that caused this. Let apologize to her properly," Vincenzo said.
He knew if his brother spoke, then things would take an ugly turn and he didn’t want that to happen.
Nathaniel knew what kind of deep bond Prince Vincenzo had with his sister. He was the sa man who was ready to go against his family to support and protect her because that was what he promised her.
Though he didn’t rember what they had, Nathaniel couldn’t deny the fact that Vincenzo was a good man and even now he could see the care in his eyes.
He nodded his head at the Prince.
"By the way, if I may ask you, and you don’t feel offended, just who is Elliana?" lony asked and Drake imdiately placed his hand over her mouth.
"lony," Samantha hissed at her friend who couldn’t control her mouth and shook her head.
Nathaniel looked at Sebastian, unsure if this was going to make a difference because he didn’t want his words to trigger any kind of mories inside him.
According to what Misha said, these two needed to have their mories back without anyone’s ddling between them.
"I don’t think that should be a problem," Azrael said to Nathaniel, understanding his dilemma.
The man nodded his head in understanding at his aunt.
"She is the princess of the dark witch kingdom. The heir to the throne and the real deserving Queen. However, because she lost her powers in an accident, she couldn’t take over," Nathaniel said.
As soon as he ended speaking, Sebastian, who was already annoyed at her and then at these witches who ca out of nowhere to bla him, scoffed at them.
"Lost her magic? I don’t really think so -" Sebastian started speaking but one look into Nathaniel’s eyes and he knew that what he saw wasn’t supposed to be ntioned in front of everyone.
Sebastian wasn’t afraid of Nathaniel. Rather he knew that he wouldn’t have any trouble killing the witch prince, but it was the wariness in his eyes that made him stop and he took a deep breath.
"Can I talk to her before you guys leave? I think it’s better if we know how she is from here," Vincenzo comnted and Nathaniel humd.
