"Where is she?" Lucas asked as soon as he woke up from his unconscious state, and Sebastian, who was completing the formalities for his most loyal and close subordinate, raised his gaze.
He was already fed up with the thoughts of that insolent girl and now rather than greeting him, the first thing his subordinate asked was about that girl?
What a joke. Sebastian thought but he didn’t say anything.
Ambrose looked at his boss before clearing his throat.
"She left," Ambrose said casually, but he had never thought what Lucas would do next.
They watched in surprise as Lucas pulled out the IV drip of blood from his hand, the drops of blood dripping from his hand and the needle onto the ground.
Ambrose watched in horror as they saw Lucas walking towards the exit.
"Lucas Pablo! Stop here this instant!" Sebastian’s cold voice reverberated in the hospital room, and Lucas froze in his place.
He couldn’t move. Though he wanted to leave and find who that girl was, he was in no power to deny a royal order straight from his boss.
Sebastian walked Lucas once he signed on the last docunt.
"Sir, I want to go," Lucas said to Sebastian, tears brimming in his eyes, and the man pressed his lips into a thin line.
"Lucas, sit quietly and take care of your health first. Why are you acting like you t the lover of your life? I am sure your girlfriend won’t-" Ambrose interrupted when he saw his boss was losing his patience seeing Lucas whining like this.
"You don’t understand, Ambrose. She... The mont her hand touched , it was almost as if I was electrocuted. Every cell in my body told that I needed to protect this girl with my life, and there was no duty bigger than that. I don’t know what -" Lucas started to explain his feelings, but Sebastian interrupted him.
"That’s because she is a witch, Lucas. A quite cunning and manipulative witch despite her age. You are not the only one who felt that" Sebastian said before he locked his jaws.
Seeing his subordinate whimpering helplessly because he knew he would never dare to go against his orders, Sebastian sighed.
"Complete this bottle of blood and we will go et her. I know where to find her," Sebastian gritted his teeth before he exited the room, making Lucas imdiately look at the doctor to help him put the needle back.
Ambrose looked at his brother-like friend and couldn’t help but think sothing was indeed wrong with that girl.
Before she hurts him or his boss with her manipulating skill, he will have to think of a way to find everything about her.
At the sa ti, Elliana, who was exiting her class after the lecture bumped into soone, making her raise her annoyed gaze towards the person who bumped into her.
"Can’t you see where you are going?" The boy beat her to it.
"I can say the sa for you," Elliana gritted her teeth as she rubbed her sore nose.
"Look, I am in no mood to argue with a stupid girl -"
The boy couldn’t finish his words when Elliana raised her leg and kicked him straight in the abdon, sending him a few away.
Samantha, who was about to call Elliana to go to the Arts building together because she didn’t trust the girl to not get into any trouble, widened her eyes when she saw Elliana kicking the boy.
’Now what did he do?’ Samantha groaned.
Seriously when she looked at Elliana, she had only thought she was just a cute little witch, but who would’ve known that this little girl holds the anger of the entire world on the tip of her nose?
"You!" The boy stood and Elliana glared back at him.
"Yes, . You are the one who bumped into because you were looking at your phone. And rather than apologizing, you have the nerve to call stupid. You moron, son of a -mmmm!" Elliana flailed her legs as Alcinder practically picked her in the air with his hand covering her mouth.
She tried running, but she was only kicking air at this point.
A sense of Deja vu hit Elliana as if sothing like this had happened before. However, one look into that stupid boy’s eyes was enough for her to snap out of her sensation.
"Alcinder, so this girl is your friend. What could I have really expected from you guys? But don’t you think I will let go of this matter? I will see to it that I will teach this stupid girl a lesson sooner or later, -" the boy started but Elliana, who was trying to run in the air, glared at Alcinder before biting his biceps, making the man imdiately loosen his hold onto her.
"Elliana!" Samantha watched in horror as she walked and looked straight into the boy’s eyes.
"Teach a lesson? Let’s see what you’ve got," Elliana asked, and the boy in front of her scoffed.
"Don’t act like you are so tough-"
"What challenge? Challenge with everything, and if I win that challenge, you will apologize to in front of everyone, the entire University. Deal?" Elliana smirked, her eyes provoking.
The boy looked into her eyes before smirking back.
"Oh baby, you have no idea what you are getting yourself into. Let’s do it through bike racing since you think you are so tough. Are you ready? There is this tournant in the evening," The boy asked.
"Dexter! What are you talking about? She is a girl for heaven’s sake. Do you think she will be able to ride the bike and win against you just because -" Samantha exclaid, but before she could complete her sentence, Elliana nodded her head.
"Fine, I am ready to do it. It’s not a problem or a big thing," she shrugged and Samantha and lony rushed to her.
"Elliana, don’t be so impulsive. You don’t know but Dexter is known as the best racer here. You are just getting yourself into a situation where you will lose either way," lony tried to explain to the girl, but Elliana humd.
"He was known as the best racer because I never raced here. You guys t recently. Don’t make it look like you know everything. Trust , I can beat his ass just fine," Elliana smirked at Dexter, who glared at her provoking words.
"So the race is on. If you win, I will apologize to you in front of everyone. I will call you my teacher and be your slave until this student exchange program is in effect," Dexter paused.
"And if I win, you will do whatever I will tell you to do," Dexter asked.
Elliana nodded before showing him a thumbs-up.
"Let’s go. We are getting late for the lecture," Elliana held Samantha’s hand before she pulled her towards the art building as if nothing happened.
As Elliana was walking, her phone vibrated in her purse and she paused.
A smile imdiately appeared on her face when she saw the na on the screen.
"Samantha, you go ahead. It’s a call from ho. I need to take it," Elliana said and her friends nodded before leaving her.
"Respect to the King," Elliana said as soon as she answered the call, and the man on the other hand rolled his eyes at her.
"You are surely a an girl. You used to persuade Mom and Dad to let you go to the vampire kingdom and now that your work has been done, you didn’t even bother to call even once," The man said, and Elliana looked at her hands, her brows furrowing at the weird golden glow in her hand.
"Am I supposed to see so kind of golden glow in my hand?" Elliana asked, and Nathaniel, who was smiling on the other side, imdiately froze in his place.
What did she say? A golden glow?
