"I will," Sebastian said and was about to sit on his knees in front of the witches when one of the witches stood from her place and used her magic to make a cushioned pillow appear right below Sebastian’s knees, stopping him from bowing to them.

"Just because you are a man in need, it doesn’t an we will stoop so low to make you beg for sothing that is our duty too. Though you killed 10 of our witches, we never ca for you because we also knew what they did," The witch said.

The clan leader looked at her subordinate witch and nodded.

"We just wanted to test your love for your wife and wanted to know if what you are showing is what you feel too. However, if the almighty vampire king can bow down for his wife, he must love her a lot," The clan leader said, and Sebastian joined his hands to show his gratitude.

Elliana turned around and walked to so distance, her fingers trembling as she barely controlled her sadness.

She rembered what Vincenzo told her.

’Please don’t tell Sebastian I told you anything because he wanted this to be a secret. Actually, he has been going to the witch clans and asking them to collect Magna which would help you. Since he has hurt many witches in the past because of his animosity and hatred towards them, things don’t go easy all the ti. So send him away, while so insult him too.

However, even after that, he doesn’t lose hope and continues with his quest to find more stored Magna for you.

He didn’t want you to know anything because he knew you wouldn’t feel good about your husband bowing to soone. So far he has visited around 23 witch clans, seeking help. He is working really hard for you, Elliana,’

The words echoed in her head, making her place her hand on the trunk of a tree at so distance as she almost lost her balance.

She couldn’t believe what Mr. Marino was doing for her.

Did she really deserve to be loved by a man as loving and caring as him? Though it wasn’t her fault, she felt like the biggest traitor for what was going to happen after two months if things didn’t work.

Her heart squeezed painfully in her chest. Will she ever be able to love him even half of how much he loves her?

Elliana closed her eyes, letting tears fall down her cheeks as the image of her husband begging in front of those witches appeared in front of her face again and again.

Nathaniel, who was looking away since he didn’t like Sebastian bowing to the witches either, felt like he saw soone standing behind the rock.

Seeing how the hole wasn’t visible earlier but was visible now, it was clear soone was standing there and left recently.

But who could it be? Almost all the witch clan’s people were here and they didn’t need to hide it from their own people.

Nathaniel stepped outside the hidden caves to look around. He suspected Azrael was sending her witches again to keep a look at them.

He swore if he found any such witch here, he would really give her a hard ti and make her regret coming their way. He was already angry about how much pain Elliana was suffering because of all these evil witches even when she wasn’t at fault.

Nathaniel walked to so distance, the back of the familiar person crouching on the ground, throwing him completely off-guard.

He has expected anyone but her to see there.

"Elliana?" Nathaniel asked, and Elliana imdiately wiped her tears before turning around to look at her half-brother.

Nathaniel’s eyes softened when he looked at the girl’s quivering eyes.

There was no doubt that she probably heard and saw everything that happened inside those caves.

He sighed and held her hand, pulling her up.

"How are you feeling now?" Nathaniel asked, knowing all too well there was no use lying and making up things about what they were doing here.

She probably figured out everything already.

Elliana didn’t say anything, just looking at him.

"How could you bring him here?" She asked before taking a deep breath to calm her emotions.

"I know what you guys are doing is because of , but like this? Do you think I would be able to live with this Magna and powers if my husband had to beg and bow in front of all the witches? Do you think my life is more important to ? That my life is more important than Mr. Marino’s dignity and -"

"It is," Nathaniel snapped, interrupting Elliana.

He was already angry about what was happening with her. The last thing he wanted to happen was for her to take her life for granted.

"Don’t you dare say sothing about it! Why do you think we are ready to sacrifice our dignity and powers for you? It’s because we love you too, stupid. Who are you to decide what we can do for you and what we can’t? How dare you try to take this right away from us?" Nathaniel said, raising his voice at Elliana after a really long ti.

He stepped forward before grabbing her shoulders.

"Why don’t you understand, Elliana? You are as important to us as we are to you. Relationships don’t work single-handedly. It’s a two-way road. You are asking why we are doing all these things, but wouldn’t you have done the sa if there were any of us in your place?" Nathaniel asked, shutting Elliana imdiately.

He stepped forward and cupped her cheeks.

"Why don’t you understand, Elliana? Stop degrading yourself. Stop telling yourself and others that you don’t matter because you do and we need you. You are important to us and we do everything for you because we care for you," Nathaniel said.

Elliana pushed him away.

"You don’t understand, do you?" She walked away, making Nathaniel sigh.

Of course, he understands. If not them, then who will understand her?

She has been left without love for so long that it’s still hard for her to believe that people can love her too, love her more than their life or anything that ans sothing to them.

Sebastian, who had talked to the clan witches, stepped out of the hidden caves, looking for Nathaniel since he would be able to take them back more quickly.

He pulled up his phone to see if there was any important call, his pupils dilating when he noticed he had 7 missed calls from his wife. It ans she was awake and probably looking for him too.

He needed to hurry back now.

Lucas also tried to reach him through calls and ssages. Sebastian opened the ssage, a sigh leaving his mouth.

’Sir, where are you? The princess was asking for you. She is getting worried. I told her that you were in a eting with important people regarding the rogue battle. However, I don’t think I was able to convince her. Please call her as soon as possible,’ The ssage said.

Sebastian hurried towards Nathaniel, who was standing at so distance.

"Nathaniel, we need to leave now. Quickly teleport to the palace. My Princess is awake already. She gets really worried if I am not around her. We will do the rest when she is asleep again. For now, I need to go there. Hurry up so-" Sebastian paused when he looked at Nathaniel’s expression.

Why wasn’t he moving already?

Why was he standing there and not saying anything? Sebastian squinted his brows.

Sothing was wrong with his expression.

"What’s wrong? Why are you looking at like we are caught and Elliana has already found out about us? You didn’t say anything to her, did you?" Sebastian asked.

Nathaniel pressed his lips into a thin line.

"That’s because you guys are," Elliana whispered from behind him, freezing Sebastian in his place, who imdiately turned around and gulped.

Sebastian chuckled awkwardly.

"My Cara, what are you doing here? When did you wake up? Is it because I didn’t pick up your call? Haha, I didn’t expect you to use the magic to locate ," Sebastian smiled.

Right, how could he forget that his wife was a witch too, and a very good one at that?

Elliana didn’t say anything for so ti, and Sebastian finally sighed, understanding her mood within a second.

"Nathaniel, can you leave us alone for so ti, I would like to talk to my princess, probably try to coax her," Sebastian said and Nathaniel left without saying anything.
