"Are you nervous?" Sebastian asked Elliana as they sat in the car, and the latter gave him a soft smile that barely reached her eyes.
"Of course, not," she whispered before looking out of the window again.
Sebastian didn’t say anything further and sat in silence, looking at the latest news about what other vampire Dukes and Kingdoms were doing.
It has been three days since the annual ball and he finally got the ti to take the Princess to her ho.
As much as he hated this place, he knew it was important because his grandpa would want that too and because he needed information on Gambit.
Sebastian’s nose flared lightly when he saw all the humans as soon as they entered the human kingdom, the mories of his mother dying in front of him flashing in front of his eyes. He closed his eyes for a few seconds before opening them again.
His hands clenched on his phone.
Lucas, who was sitting in the front seat with Ambrose driving the car, looked at his prince through the rearview mirror and felt bad for him.
He knew all those mories must be coming back to him and haunting him like a never-ending trauma that he had been living for so many years.
All of them were helpless in this situation. The only thing he could do right now was pity him.
After fifteen minutes, they finally reached the palace.
Sebastian got out of the car, buttoning his coat while Lucas opened the door for his Princess.
"Princess," Lucas looked at her dress that stuck in the car when she closed the door and she looked down at the dress before sighing.
Lucas could see that the princess was nervous too, and it was quite irking and surprising given how this was supposed to be her haven, rather it looked like she was being taken to a prison she had run away from and she was wary of the mories and the people she would et.
Then again, wasn’t it the sa for his prince too? These two were like two unfortunate pieces of puzzles that complete each other.
He unlocked the door and was about to gently pull out her dress when Sebastian beat him to it.
Elliana looked at her Prince who evened her dress, her gaze shifting to her so-called family that walked out of the large doors to receive them.
She instinctively grabbed Sebastian’s hand in a tight grip, making the man look down at the fake smile she put on her face.
He sighed.
He didn’t know if she did it for herself or him, because he could definitely feel his raging heart that wanted to shed so blood calm down at her touch.
Rather than walking to the palace when Elliana stepped forward, he pulled her back and turned her around so she was facing him instead.
He lifted his gaze, looking at her family mbers who were watching them with confusion laced in their eyes before his gaze shifted to the council head and his son, Aditya.
"I am here. Breathe, okay? I got you," Sebastian looked into her eyes, making her eyes brim with tears innocently and she nodded.
"You must be angry," Elliana stepped close to him, and Sebastian smirked behind his full mask.
She couldn’t see his smirk, but the familiar glint that passed through his eyes imdiately told her he was smirking at her, and she smiled for real for the first ti since they left their palace.
"I hope to get a treat for my behavior today and that treat better be a few hours long," Sebastian whispered in her ears as he placed his face in the crook of her neck, making it look like he was sniffing her neck wanting to taste her blood.
He saw the King’s and Aditya’s hands clenching by their sides and smirked inwardly.
anwhile, Lucas who heard his Prince’s words, looked away, feeling like a teenager who heard sothing illegal while Ambrose’s just averted his gaze, his facial expression neutral and better than Lucas, who felt jealous of his extre control over his reactions.
"Let’s go now. Rember who you are. You are my princess," Sebastian grabbed the small string in front of her dress around the bow and played with it before nodding at her.
He sighed in his heart.
Though he was talking to Princess like that, it was him he was trying to calm. He won’t lie, his princess was like an antidote to the poison in his heart and he was glad she was by his side.
He let Elliana clench her hand around his elbow, the girl’s edgy form making him want to know what exactly happened with her here all those years and bash these humans for a new reason.
They walked to the large gates of the palace.
"My dear," Jas smiled at Elliana before extending his hand for Sebastian to shake.
Sebastian looked at the hand of the King for a few seconds, making the man awkward before he lifted his hand ever so slowly and shook it.
"Welco to the hunter’s bloodline palace, Prince Sebastian," Jas said, his ti stiff and bold, just like the king he was.
Marla smiled at the Prince before smiling even wider at Elliana.
"My dear, co inside. Let’s not keep you standing for long. Are you tired?" Marla said as they started walking inside the palace.
Aditya looked at the girl he had fallen for holding her husband’s hand in public for the first ti and felt a pinch in his heart.
He walked behind them dejectedly, his eyes narrowing when he noticed her tight grip on the vampire prince’s shirt.
Could it be that this prince has forced her to act like this?
They indeed paused for quite so ti in front of the car and talked. The prince even dared to sniff her neck. What if he was threatening her and telling her that he would bite her neck and drink her blood if she didn’t act properly like a good loving wife?
Aditya’s mind worked, and he gritted his teeth at all the possibilities.
Sebastian sat in the middle of the large sofa and his n stood beside him, alert and ready to kill anyone who would raise their voice against their prince.
Marla ushered Elliana to their side and the girl sat in front of her husband, her gaze eting with his heated one.
She looked at him, enchanted by his dominance in their palace.
Elliana has seen him dominating others quite a few tis, but even after that, every ti feels like the first ti. The way his left hand was resting on the upper portion of the couch with the other hand on his lap, his long fingers tapping the sofa, she gulped.
Her heart skipped a beat at the cold dominating aura he was executing, her ears turning red slowly as her gaze raked his body slowly, moving from his neck to his chest and the hard abs that were covered under the layers of his -
"Your mother is asking sothing, Princess," Sebastian’s cold voice snapped her out of her daze, and she looked at everyone, embarrassed of herself.
But was it her fault? Her husband was indeed a piece of art for her, an art that she wanted to own so badly and desperately.
She looked back into his eyes, his gaze letting her know he knew exactly where she was focusing, and she blushed even more, while Lucas looked between his princess and prince and vice versa, trying to understand the silent conversation they were having through their eyes.
’Behave. This is not our palace,’ Ambrose reminded Lucas through the mind link and the latter sighed.
"You were saying sothing, stepmother?" Elliana asked.
Marla’s smile froze for a second at the honorifics before she bead again.
"It’s almost lunchti. I have prepared all your favorite dishes today. We weren’t sure what the prince would like but we prepared so special dishes for him. I hope he likes them," she said, and Elliana humd.
"Would you like to eat lunch, Mr. Marino?" Elliana asked on their behalf and Sebastian humd vaguely.
"That’s great. Sista, bring out the food for our princess and Prince Marino," Marla clapped her hands excitedly.
Elliana turned to look at her joyous pretentious mother, her gaze falling on the council head’s son.
She nodded at the council head and Aditya in respect, making Aditya clench his fists.
If it had been previous tis, she had smiled at him and asked him if he wanted to eat sothing special, but today she nodded at him as if he was just a respectable stranger to her.
"Please co this side," Marla said at the sa ti Madeline deadened the stairs slowly, looking even more enchanting and beautiful than ever.
Elliana looked at her step-sister, who had a neutral expression on her face.
She didn’t need a genius to tell her step-sister didn’t like her presence in the palace and bear with it because her father invited them.
"Respect to Mr. Marino," Madeline said, and Elliana flinched inwardly at the nickna that she was used to using.
"It’s Prince Marino for everyone. Only my wife has the privilege to call Mr. Marino these days," Sebastian’s voice was void of any emotions, and Madeline’s smile froze.
"Of course, please forgive my daughter, Prince Marino," Marla said, looking at Elliana who looked unbothered.
"Let’s go and have lunch now," Jas said again to dissolve the awkwardness, sighing inwardly.
This looked tougher than he had thought.
