Maggots.
That’s what they were.
"Blargh!" One of the nurses ran to the corner of the room and vomited, not being able to take the sight.
"Such poor hearts," Sebastian sighed before looking at Maze, who was looking back at him with big, wide eyes.
He couldn’t believe it. He has seen many kinds of torture before, but this...
"Now tell , what part of your body would you like these tiny devils to feed on? And not just feed, excrete and reproduce too," Sebastian blinked at the man, his eyes screaming how much he was enjoying this process.
How satisfying it was for him and how much he wanted to see the end results of what he was doing.
"Sir, won’t it be a bit too much?" Garry started, but one glare from Sebastian and everyone looked down at their feet.
"Am I being too much? How can you say that? Am I killing him? Am I giving him so bronze bull punishnt? Crucifying him? Or am I taking a long rod and sticking up his ass all the way to his mouth? I am not doing anything like that, am I?" Sebastian asked, and the more he spoke, the more Maze trembled in his place.
Death was a better option than anything this cruel prince ntioned.
"I... I... Please don’t do this to . I am a victim too. I didn’t choose this life. It was forced upon . We were abducted from our houses and given money for it. Each of us had so kind of problems in our life, so when they offered us money, enough for us to solve our problems, we didn’t hesitate. But we had no idea that when they said they were doing so vampire trials, it would actually turn us into these monsters. Please believe ," Maze wailed in agony.
His breath hitched as a couple of maggots dropped to the ground, and they started moving to where his blood was still seeping out of his chest and collecting near his foot.
"I... Please believe . I am telling the truth. I only know that one of the royals was involved in this. The man who was handling us was always on the call, and he used to say things like, ’Yes, prince, the work will be done, we will send the n as per your orders,’ and other respectful things," Maze tried to shift his chair backwards to stay away from the maggots.
"That’s why I assud it was one of the royal princes. I have never seen his face or heard about his rank or anything else...aaaaaahhhhh! Aaaahhhhhh, Please keep them away from , I beg you," Maze scread in fear as he saw so more insects crawling towards him out of nowhere.
"Aahhh, please believe . I have no hidden information anymore. Aaaaahhh," Maze shouted, shaking his chair violently, and Sebastian smiled.
"Oh, I believe you. No royal prince would be stupid enough to go to the place where you guys are and risk being found out. I also believe soone tricked you into this. But -" Sebastian paused.
"You did sothing unforgivable, and I am sure you have no explanation for that. How dare you touch my woman’s neck? When you were scaring that human girl, did you really think she was just anyone?" Sebastian asked, his eyes turning dangerously dark when he rembered the hand prints on his princess’s neck.
Her flawless porcelain neck with only small distinguished moles had those ugly handprints. Only he knows how hard it was not to leave her there and co here to kill this man who dared to scare his wife.
"I... I am sorry, Prince. Please forgive . If you ask, I’ll grovel in front of her and plead until she forgives . I’ll kiss her feet and rub my nose on the ground -" Maze started but stopped when he noticed Sebastian’s n shaking their heads. A clear indication that he shouldn’t speak further.
"You will kiss my wife’s feet?" Sebastian asked, his voice dangerously low before he started walking towards Maze with the thought of emptying the jar on his chest.
However, before he could take another step, his phone vibrated with an incoming ssage, the sound echoing in the otherwise silent room, and he narrowed his eyes.
Who could be ssaging him now? He swore that it was one of the princes asking him about whether he was coming or not, he would forget that they are supposed to be his cousins.
Sebastian dropped the dagger in the jar and walked to the table where his phone was.
He didn’t touch his phone. The na of the person on the screen illuminated the dark room, illuminating his dark heart at the sa ti.
He narrowed his eyes.
It was already ti for her to be at University. So what was she ssaging him for?
Did sothing happen again? Sebastian thought before looking at Ambrose, who imdiately walked to him, holding the jar of maggots with a weird face as his prince pulled out the gloves from his right hand.
He sanitized his hand and grabbed the phone before unlocking it to see what it was all about.
He looked at the ssage and read it again and again as if deciphering so great philosophy. Everyone noticed how the evil energy he was oozing earlier, started diminishing as if it was tad by so invisible force.
"Change of plans," Sebastian looked at Maze with a sigh.
"You are lucky that the only person I care about right now has ssaged ," Sebastian looked at the doctors.
"I want a new team of doctors the next ti I am here, and no female nurses next ti. It would be better if my doctor ca. He knows of my ways better," Sebastian looked back at Maze.
"Your days are numbered. Let’s make them useful. My man will play a video for you. It’s a video of one of the rogues that was captured by the royal, and though they acted like they captured him for the betternt of the world, I could see how they were feeding him. It would be good if you recognised the person and his behaviour and gave us detailed intel on your type," Sebastian looked at Garry.
"Keep interrogating him. Show him the video that we have gotten from the royal dungeons. The video of that rogue that had raped and eaten that guard who brought the food to him," Sebastian paused.
(A/N- Take reference from Chapter-69 The Rogue Vampire.)
"Make him watch the video until he recognizes the person. He looks like one of the leaders of the rogue teams. It wouldn’t be surprising if he is one of the first created samples. I want all the information about what they eat, drink, how they move, love, appeals, desires, powers, strengths, weaknesses, every single thing. Once all the information is ready, send the file to ," Sebastian said before leaving the room.
Ambrose followed the prince with the jar, and Sebastian stopped.
"Ambrose, I am going to et the princess. Do you think this is sothing I would bring there?" Sebastian quirked his brows, and Ambrose rushed to their inventory of weapons before placing the jar in the sanitized place and returning.
Lucas, who was inside the other room, interrogating the team who went to the places that Maze had told them about where more rogue vampires were produced, walked out and looked at his prince before looking at Ambrose.
"Is the interrogation done?" He asked Ambrose, and the latter shook his head.
"So... Uh... Are you going sowhere, prince?" Lucas asked Sebastian, who looked deep in thought.
"Yes. Your princess ssaged and said she needs . So I am going to go now. Ask soone to see if everything is alright, and even if it is, we are going to the royal house. Let’s get over with this quickly so that we can return before midnight," Sebastian said.
"Did she call you? What’s wrong? She isn’t hurt, right?" Lucas imdiately beca worried.
"No. Your Princess ssaged ," Sebastian pulled out his phone and showed him the ssage.
"Mr. Marino, I need "
"I think you are showing the wrong ssage, sir," Lucas said.
"Wrong?" Sebastian checked.
"It’s the right ssage,"
"But where did she say she needs you?" Lucas asked.
"Can’t you see? She wrote... Mr Marino, I need... What will co after need? She needs . She intended to write ’you’, so the ssage is clear," Sebastian said.
"But what if she wanted to write she needs you to tell her when you guys will leave for the royal palace. You didn’t tell her the exact ti. Or probably she was asking if she needs to talk to you about sothing. Maybe soone interrupted, and she wasn’t -" Lucas paused when he felt his prince’s cold glare.
Lucas - "..." Well, who am I to burst his happy bubble? Why am I courting death these days?
"I think you are right, sir. On the second note, why would she want to know about anything else?" Lucas asked, heaving a breath of relief when Sebastian stopped glaring at him.
"It’s okay, Lucas. You don’t know her. I can understand why you misunderstood," Sebastian walked towards the car and Lucas stood there.
’You are right, sir. I don’t know Princess, but I don’t think you do either,’ Lucas sighed and rushed out before his prince beca angry again.
