“Ah...”

Kibon visibly flinched.

Startled, I quickly let go of his hand.

‘Oh no. Imagine if Oson grabbed my hand like that.’

Just the thought sent chills down my spine. I scrambled to apologize.

“S-sorry. I’m really sorry. I’ve committed an unpardonable sin, daring to touch an intern. If you were really uncomfortable, feel free to report it. According to Article 42, Clause 8 of the Civil Servant Act—”

“It’s fine.”

Kibon imdiately shook his head.

A brief awkwardness hung between us.

“You’re really okay? If you change your mind later, you can report it anyti. It was my fault.”

“I’m fine.”

I found myself looking up at Kibon again, quietly studying him.

After several nights of overti, one thing I’d realized—his posture was always perfectly upright.

Even after sitting for hours, he never slouched or let himself get disheveled.

‘Did he get noble etiquette training back in his holand or sothing? Even the way his clothes sit is flawless.’

You only had to teach him sothing once—he’d sit there with perfect posture and handle everything flawlessly. His tone was still a bit stiff, but it matched his cold deanor rather well.

His expression barely changed. No smiles, no frowns. The only visible reaction was the occasional flinch when I smiled.

That’s probably why I hadn’t noticed how overworked he was—enough to get a nosebleed.

‘But he said it himself, even with a nosebleed, he still wants to work more. This guy’s the real deal. No wonder he stord out of the Scroll Managent Departnt on his first day.’

A smile tugged at the corners of my mouth.

To think soone like him would show up as my intern, right when I needed it most.

Now I could work him hard without even a shred of guilt.

‘Thanks to him, I’ll be able to rescue that suffering child even a day sooner.’

Kibon stood there, his face as unreadable as ever.

I shouldn’t be reacting like this, but I couldn’t stop smiling in relief and happiness.

“But you know, {N•o•v•e•l•i•g•h•t} right?”

I bead at him as I added,

“Then we’re working late again today...”

That was when Kibon finally showed sothing close to a real reaction—like his brain had just caught up with everything.
