"It’s all been taken care of, that little brat really tried his best." One of the Blood Clan at the front stroked the marks on the ground, holding a torch and speaking with a cheeky grin, "Too bad he hasn’t learned tracking. No matter how he faked it, a fake is still a fake. Head that way."

Another Blood Clan, also wielding a torch, whistled and shouted loudly, "Everyone, stay alert! There’s a Hydra in here, and it’s probably not far from us!"

The remaining eight dispersed Blood Clan mbers gathered toward them.

"Honestly, I think they’re pretty dumb. Hiding a Hydra here... In such a narrow space, the Hydra probably can’t perform well either, right?"

"Who knows? But we can’t perform well here either. If we were on the surface, we’d treat dwarves like field mice. But in here, there’s a bit of a risk for us too."

"That’s true. In a place like this, only dwarves have the advantage. But a bunch of blacksmiths—no matter how well they perform, what could they possibly do? Hahaha."

Maintaining a vigilant formation, the ten mbers of the Blood Clan continued advancing into the depths of the tunnel. Along the way, they chatted casually, as if they were about to face an insignificant group of opponents rather than a Hydra.

From a distance, Jones quietly observed them from the shadows.

Silver Hamr whispered, "What should we do? They all look like veterans. Maybe we should charge straight at them."

"Shh..." Jones lowered his voice and said, "Don’t rush. No matter how experienced soone is, they still make mistakes. The key is for us to have patience. Opportunities will always co. If an opportunity doesn’t appear, we’ll create one."

"Create an opportunity?"

...

Toward the direction of Giant Snake City, a large swarm of bats was flying desperately. Adelle was leading the pack.

The butler was following closely behind him.

"Young Master, I strongly advise you not to give the order to attack under any circumstances. We can go, but please, no matter what, don’t make a move. Otherwise, the Master will be furious. Not only him, but the Patriarch will also be enraged. By that ti... your future will be in serious jeopardy."

"Shut up! Fly faster! We’re going to be too late!"

"Young Master, I’m serious, don’t take action!"

"I already told you to shut up! Why do you talk so much? We ca all this way, and you want us to not do anything? Are you out of your mind?"

...

Hilde.

In a luxurious hall, a group of middle-aged Blood Clan mbers dressed in resplendent garnts was holding wine glasses, sitting on sofas, drinking, chatting, and laughing.

A maid hurriedly entered through the door, curtsied, and approached one of the middle-aged Blood Clan mbers with brown curly hair. She whispered sothing into his ear.

The middle-aged Blood Clan’s expression froze instantly, and he said quietly, "Count how many guards are left."

"Understood."

...

"Hey, are you looking for ?"

A voice rang out. The Blood Clan mbers in the tunnel imdiately turned their heads one by one.

In the dim torchlight, they saw Jones stroll out leisurely from a bend in the tunnel, grinning at them.

"Is that the little brat?" soone murmured.

"Not sure. Should be, right? Haven’t heard of any other Blood Clan kids around here."

"Why don’t we just catch him and ask?"

One of the Blood Clan mbers already made the first move, darting toward Jones with exceptional speed.

Jones spun around and transford into a bat, slipping into the darkness.

"Quick, chase him! Don’t let him get away!"

"Wait! Don’t chase! There’s still a Hydra here!"

In an instant, six Blood Clan mbers had already rushed out, while the remaining four couldn’t stop them in ti. The small ten-man team was swiftly split into two groups.

"These idiots... Didn’t they even think about why he’d show up in front of us on purpose?" The lead Blood Clan mber looked at the scattered torches on the ground, speechless. "It’s obviously a trap!"

"It’s no big deal," another Blood Clan mber shrugged reassuringly. "They know what they’re doing. Even if it’s a trap, there are ways to deal with it."

Before he could finish speaking, a whistle-like hum sounded from behind.

Turning around, they saw a hamr flying straight toward one of the Blood Clan mbers, slamming squarely into his face.

"Aaargh—!" The Blood Clan mber who got hit clutched his face and doubled over. Blood spewed from his nostrils, staining the sandy ground beneath him.

The remaining three Blood Clan mbers were montarily stunned.

Before they could react, hamrs, axes, pickaxes, and rocks ca hurling out of the darkness one after another, an overwhelming barrage.

"This is bad! It’s the dwarves! Be careful!" The lead Blood Clan shouted, hastily casting a protective shield in front of himself. The thrown objects clanged against the shield, sending ripples through it.

The other Blood Clan who didn’t manage to raise their shields weren’t as lucky, getting battered and bruised one after another.

The ascending slope of the tunnel made it a perfect spot for an ambush. The strength of the dwarves was also incomparable to that of humans.

In the blink of an eye, the ground was strewn with the objects hurled at them.

"I’m going to slaughter you bastards!"

"Smash your heads in!"

"Co on! I’m right here, weren’t you going to capture and sell off?"

The roars of the dwarves echoed from the darkness.

They continued furiously hurling objects at the Blood Clan. At first, the projectiles were a mix of various tools, but soon only rocks remained, piling up extensively on the ground.

Aside from the Blood Clan mber who was struck at the beginning, the other three had regained control of the situation. The first fallen Blood Clan mber was now also being protected.
