As soon as he heard those words and that tone Eric understood that this Madam of the Long Family wasn't that easily fooled.
Even though he had no intention of admitting to anything she insinuated, he still could understand that she had already seen through his little acting scene.
And truly, Madam Yan ng's next words confird his doubts,
"You might think that you have perfectly hidden your intention and your actions of eating that precious herb from my garden, but that has just put you into my attention.
Better not give a reason to doubt you again in the future little gardener otherwise, you will have to suffer the consequences of your actions!"
Eric couldn't help but feel like a kid caught red-handed, as he didn't understand how could this Madam Yan ng realize sothing like this so quickly.
It felt like she had so sort of divination art or so kind of terrifying spirit sense. Now that he thought about it, that second option could truly be possible.
If that were the case then shouldn't she have already seen through his strength and evolution? Wasn't her act towards him a bit too lacking?
No! His strength and cultivation level were enshrouded in darkness by his Legacy System, it was an in-bound feature at all tis.
For that reason, he didn't have to worry much about this, and even though he didn't accept the bla he still continued,
"Setting aside the fact whether I have done sothing like that or not, you should understand that your life is still in my hands Madam Yan ng.
If you don't want to die, then you have to make sure that I don't get dissatisfied with you or your attitude.
Don't try to threaten either, because if you do then you will not only lose your chance to live but also to nurture that Blood Rose of yours!

Madam Yan ng couldn't help but look at Eric with a complex and weird expression, as many thoughts were coursing through her mind.
Many questions were unanswered in her mind and heart, and it didn't look like she could receive an answer to many of them, so she could only give up for today, and find a way to break the ice later.
Even though Eric was the one at fault for stealing the precious herb from her garden, she still had to forget it and focus on trying to strengthen the relationship between them.
Of course, if Eric was lying his head wouldn't be the only thing flying, as she would torture him for as long as he lived and breathed.
But in the case that he was right, he would almost instantaneously beco the greatest contributor to her cause.
"Since that is the case, then I can only go back for now! Let us et at midnight here in the garden Master Eric, I promise to give you a nice surprise tonight!"

Now that she understood the value that Eric held to her even Madam Yan ng couldn't help but change her way of address, and even her attitude towards him.
It seed like she didn't think any longer that Eric was just a lowlife, a toad that was trying to eat swan at.
No, he now looked like a mysterious expert, soone with great skills staying away from the mundane world.
How she ca and how she left!
'Heheheh~! Let us see what are you going to do Madam Yan ng. Let us see whether it will be the moth who gets burned to ashes, or the lamp getting turned off.'
With these thoughts in mind, Eric let Madam Yan ng leave the garden, as he could finally concentrate on his cultivation.
The 'spirit grass' he had eaten when he had grabbed that dirt in his hand, was quite a good cultivation resource that not many people could use.
Normally as an Alchemist, he would have used it as the main ingredient in concocting the Energy Refining Pill of high purity and energy. Unfortunately, it was impossible for him to do so now.
Not only had he been forced to digest the spirit grass, but he had also harvested it before it got perfectly ripped, so its effect was far from desired.
Still, coupled with the environnt around, and the specialty of this small garden, then the effects would be much better than a normal Energy Refining Pill.
Knowing that he imdiately sat in the lotus position and started cultivating, as the energy of heaven and earth around him beca so dense, that it looked like there was a small fog around him.
It seed like, despite his greatest expectations, the spirit grass still had managed to surprise him right now.
With each extra breath, the energy in his body was reaching new heights, as he was slowly progressing towards the next Realm.
While he was walking with extrely slow steps compared to a normal evolver under this stroke of luck, his steps were solid and secure.
Just like that, more than 3 hours passed by and he had completely used most of the aid properties of the spirit grass he consud, and it was finally ti for lunch.
Unfortunately, the poor Eric couldn't leave this place and go for his lunch, because he had yet to finish his work and job for the day.
Of course, he could decide to go eat his fill and deal with everything later, but there would be problems if soone found the garden dirty and destroyed how it was.
Without wasting ti, he imdiately went to pick a plastic bag, fertilizer, a small shovel, and so other miscellaneous tools to take care of the garden.
'Grrrhhhh…'
It didn't take him long to finish his work and finally think of food again, as his stomach started releasing sounds of protest.
'I am hungry, extrely so! I need to go to the kitchen and eat my fill, only like that will I be able to regain a bit of my strength.
With those thoughts in mind, Eric arrived at the workers' kitchen, and without wasting ti he quickly started eating like a hungry ghost.
Whoever saw him at that mont would think that he was soone abandoned by his parents in the forest and grown up there.
While the food was free of charge for all permanent employers, his eating habit surprised and scared even the cooks.
Just from what hole had this guy co out from to be starving like that!? Yet, no one dared to co to his table and disturb him, as they even feared he would eat them whole.
Of course, Eric didn't mind finishing everything he could, but unfortunately, after his third plate, the kitchen staff refused to give him more.
They had a Mansion to feed, not just one starving ghost. So they couldn't help but politely refuse him, as Eric thought about how to fill his hunger and thirst.
It was clear that since the inside couldn't feel his needs, then he needed to ask from the outside. Of course, the best would be to go and eat in a restaurant, but that wasn't possible at the mont.
So he could only agree to order from inside when he suddenly rembered that there was soone who had promised him a al.
Without hesitating, he picked up the phone and called the person, and the mont that the phone call was picked up he said,
"Miss Mu are you still willing to treat this little brother to a al!?"
"Huh!? Who are you!? Oh, it's the strong little brother from that ti! Of course, my offer still stands, just tell what you want, and I will start preparations!"
"Heheheh~! Miss Mu is truly a great and clean angel! Then how about I co to your room in 1 hour. Like that we will even be able to speak more profoundly about our relationship…
