66: Trade Resumption

"Your Majesty, there's news about Princess Qila." Early Tuesday morning, Xue'er excitedly said to Leticia.

Leticia's eating movents paused for an instant. Hadn't they said it would be a bit difficult before? How was there news so directly now?

"So fast?"

"Yes, but it was Princess Qila's side that contacted us proactively. Princess Qila probably already guessed what we want to discuss with her." Xue'er nodded. She had used almost all her connections—with such a big commotion, Princess Qila indeed had no reason not to notice.

What was the best way to find soone? Naturally, it was to have that person co find you proactively.

Xue'er knew Leticia had sothing Qila desired. As long as she spread the word, our Princess would naturally take the bait.

"I see. Then tell her this for —I don't want money, I just want to et Qila once." Leticia nodded. She really wanted to know why Qila cared so much about this book.

Clearly, it only recorded so dubious mythological stories—completely a case of false advertising.

What Mythological Age Magic Studies? It should be called "Made-up Mythological Stories."

Magic?

Completely absent.

Though those stories were indeed quite interesting, and contained quite a few profound truths.

"You're going to appear personally?" Xue'er's eyes lit up. If Her Majesty was willing to et Princess Qila, did that an Her Majesty still cared about the demon race?

At least she cared about Princess Qila, right?

"Go, naturally I have to go, but I won't let Qila know it's ." Leticia glanced at the hopeful Xue'er and said sowhat ruthlessly, "I don't want that dead girl to latch onto directly."

One Bai Ling was already annoying enough. Add Qila on top of that—wouldn't that be the end?

"I see." Xue'er was sowhat disappointed. "I'll imdiately convey your requirents to Princess Qila's side."

Xue'er's communication was very swift. After all, once both sides began contact, this maid had already obtained a direct communication channel with Qila's side.

Yes, a cell phone.

Not long after Xue'er sent her ssage, the reply ca back. And the result was naturally not beyond Xue'er's expectations.

"Princess Qila's side wants to see your sincerity—at least they can't let the Princess make a wasted trip." Xue'er put down her phone and said to Leticia.

Being so cautious and careful was a good thing. If Qila had agreed directly, Leticia would have to suspect whether she had made a mistake in educating her sister.

The sister she raised couldn't be a naive sweetheart. As the Demon King's sister, if not being able to strategize from her chambers and win battles from a thousand miles away, she should at least not be fooled by scumbags.

Leticia didn't want to be like so Demon Kings in certain stories who got so angry at their sister's brain-dead operations that they ended up in the hospital.

As the saying goes, love makes one lose intelligence, but before losing intelligence, Leticia still hoped her sister would be smart.

"That's simple. Xue'er, go get that book." Leticia indicated she had plenty of sincerity. As a good sister, would she trick her own sister?

But Xue'er didn't move.

"Why are you here?" The reason was naturally that an uninvited guest had arrived in the room.

Bai Ling stood behind Leticia with a serious expression, holding in her hands exactly the book Leticia had just asked Xue'er to fetch.

"If I hadn't co, you would have sent this book to your sister's hands, right?" Bai Ling snorted lightly. Leticia really wasn't lying to her—if she said she'd give the book to Qila, she'd give the book to Qila.

"What's wrong with favoring my own sister?" Leticia said righteously. "You need to understand—this was scamd by . Legally speaking, this book now belongs to ."

She had ownership of this book, so why couldn't she give it to her sister?

"Don't tell this was your achievent alone?" Bai Ling raised an eyebrow.

If she rembered correctly, she seed to have been together with Leticia, right?

Speaking of which, they were accomplices.

"Did you contribute? The book was scamd by , and I could have beaten those people alone." Leticia began being unreasonable.

"I fought two, you only fought one." Bai Ling indicated that no matter what, she had contributed more in the fighting.

"Hey, when did you learn to talk such nonsense?" Leticia was a bit surprised by the current Bai Ling. She could actually argue with her now—such rapid progress.

"Learn from you." Miss Sword Saint's gaze was sowhat evasive. Those near vermillion beco red, those near ink beco black—being close to Leticia, she naturally learned to be unreasonable.

Leticia was now in a difficult position. The book was in Bai Ling's hands—she definitely couldn't snatch it by force, and reasoning was useless. This Bai Ling was like a dead piece of wood that absolutely wouldn't soften.

What should she do? Leticia thought about it and soon ca up with a solution.

Why did she want to trade with Qila?

Certainly not because she wanted to help her sister fulfill her wish, but because she wanted to know why Qila wanted this book so much.

After getting the answer, whether Qila could get the book wasn't really important.

"Don't you want to know why Qila wants this book?"

"If you can get the answer without sending this book to Qila's hands, then I wouldn't object." Bai Ling's fingers lightly brushed over the yellowed pages. She was indeed sowhat curious about why Qila cared so much about this book.

"Then I do have a solution." Leticia smiled. As long as Bai Ling loosened up, it would be easy.

"You co with to et Qila then. You hold the book, and after I get the answer, we'll have the Hero Association people 'accidentally' bust our trade."

Was this tricking her own sister?

Leticia thought not.

If Qila needed the original, then she really had no solution. But if Qila only needed the contents of the book, that would be convenient.

Leticia had already morized all the book's contents. There would be plenty of opportunities to give the contents to Qila later.

Let's see if Bai Ling could watch her and Xue'er every single day without leaving their sides.

"...It's a solution." Bai Ling admitted she was sowhat convinced.

Leticia's thod was quite good, and with both of them present, they could also control the damage to the minimum.

"But you have to guarantee that no one gets hurt."

But once the trade was busted, Qila's side would definitely have to escape, and Bai Ling was worried that if Qila's side lost their cool, it might cause casualties on the human side.

She couldn't accept that.

"Don't worry, with there, there won't be any problems." Leticia imdiately patted her chest in guarantee.

The Demon King would not go back on her word.
