Defeat a dragon? Leticia felt this wasn't difficult. She hadn't never beaten up dragons when she was small.
Those winged big lizards just looked scary—when it ca to actual fighting, the threat level really wasn't high.
But before playing the role of dragon-slaying hero, Leticia had to do one thing first: et up with her backup.
After seeing the light beam she released, Bai Ling should walk in the beam's direction. If she also walked in this direction, it shouldn't take much ti before she could et Bai Ling.
"So why fight when things can be resolved through talking? If you had been able to talk nicely with my ancestor before, you wouldn't have ended up in this situation, right?" While walking, Leticia spoke to the god.
She knew the god was listening.
"Heh, I am a god." The god's aning was obvious—she was a god, so how could she possibly talk with beings she saw as ants?
This submission was only because she wanted to live more comfortably. After all, if she really refused to cooperate, Leticia couldn't do anything to her either.
"Sigh, aningless pride. Gods are also life—they can be hurt and die. Isn't it just that your natural strength is a bit higher than ours?" Leticia rolled her eyes. She had never felt gods were anything great.
In her view, gods were just a group of beings with unlimited lifespans but locked strength. They were powerful, but not overwhelmingly so.
The God of Fog who had actually fought her was an example.
When Leticia battled her, the pressure wasn't even as great as fighting Bai Ling.
Without exaggeration, if not for Bai Ling's lack of endurance, that God of Fog might have been solo-killed by Bai Ling.
As long as the stamina problem could be solved, even Leticia was confident she could face off against a god head-on. Last ti, before her magic power was exhausted, the God of Fog hadn't been able to do anything to her either.
Though the God of Fog might have been one of the weaker gods, she was ultimately a god. Her inability to take down Leticia in a short ti, only being able to drag her to death, made Leticia feel proud.
"Not to hide it from you, I've fought other gods too. That guy talked big, but when it ca to actual fighting, she still couldn't finish off."
"Oh? Such big talk, aren't you afraid of biting your tongue?" The god definitely didn't believe Leticia's words.
Defeating a god with a mortal body was simply a joke. The god wouldn't believe such nonsense.
"I'm not lying to you. The god I defeated could create fog. Though defeating her didn't rely on my power alone, she fought for several hours, and if I hadn't run out of magic power, she still wouldn't have beaten ."
"Great fog?" The god fell silent. She discovered Leticia didn't seem to be lying. This girl had really fought with her kinsman.
Having fought with her kinsman and now being able to stand here talking with her, the result of that battle was obvious.
The victor was this girl.
"Right, great fog..." Leticia said while swaying her head. She still felt proud about that battle in her heart.
That was a god, defeated by her and Bai Ling working together.
Though the main damage dealer was the chanism, the MVP was undoubtedly Leticia.
She hadn't even finished feeling proud when she suddenly crashed into a soft embrace.
Her body was tightly hugged, familiar scents surrounding her. Leticia imdiately knew whose embrace she had fallen into.
Without excessive words, just from this embrace, she confird that the girl before her was the one she knew well.
"Hey, don't make it seem like I escaped from death." Leticia smiled and patted Bai Ling's back. "Pretty fast—I knew I wasn't wrong about you."
"You owe another ti." Bai Ling buried her head in Leticia's shoulder, speaking in an extrely light voice. "How do you plan to repay this ti?"
"How do you want to repay you?" Leticia didn't refuse outright as usual but asked back with a smile.
Though she hadn't been in any life danger here, Bai Ling didn't know that. She had entered the divine domain in such a short ti to save her. Leticia was definitely moved.
She treated Bai Ling so poorly, often scolding and hitting her, but when she fell into crisis, Bai Ling always rushed to the front to save her. Leticia wasn't heartless—her heart was naturally touched.
If Bai Ling had appeared like a goddess when Leticia was in hard battle, perhaps Leticia would have been completely won over. Unfortunately, fate didn't cooperate—the relationship between Leticia and the god could actually be considered harmonious.
Aside from the initial irrational mutual attacks, the god's later attitude was quite satisfactory to Leticia.
"Be my girlfriend."
"Don't even think about it. Your great kindness can only be repaid in my next life." Leticia irritably punched Bai Ling, but used basically zero force. "Alright, alright, we'll talk about sentintal things later. We still have things to do."
Still have things to do? Could there still be enemies to handle? Bai Ling imdiately released Leticia and took a battle stance.
The god's voice ca from above: "Hmph, what if I said, you leave her here and I'll go out with you, forever obeying your commands—how would you choose?"
Leticia's eye twitched. This god's brain must have problems. Did she need to hesitate over this question?
"No deal. Compared to you, who just wanted to kill , she's better." Leticia decisively refused.
Bai Ling sowhat guiltily looked away. She seed to also be one of the people who had wanted to kill Leticia, and the only one who had co within a step of victory.
Making Leticia choose between two people who had previously wanted to kill her was really hard on Demon King.
"Don't think wrong. I an compared to her, you're better." After saying that, Leticia imdiately turned to Bai Ling. "But your status in my heart is still very low."
Hearing this, Bai Ling burst out laughing. Wasn't this protesting too much?
This was indeed a very Leticia-style answer.
"Good, I definitely won't think wrong." She smiled and rubbed Leticia's little head. "My little Demon King."
"Hey, what does that gesture an? Take your pig hands off !"
......
"How is it? This is a body those people specially made for you." Propping up her chin, Leticia smiled as she looked at 'Mo Ziling' sitting sowhat stiffly in the chair.
'Mo Ziling' held a pitch-black short staff, and careful observation revealed several black threads extending from the staff's end into Mo Ziling's wrists.
Now controlling this body was that god who had initially shown such poor attitude.
"Not bad, but I can feel this body is sowhat disobedient." The god raised her hand, squinting as she spoke.
"Because theoretically speaking, I'm the master of your body." Leticia snapped her fingers. "Pick up the water glass in front of you."
The god was surprised to find her body moving on its own without her control. She tried her best but couldn't stop the body's movents.
This made her sowhat unhappy.
"Don't look so unhappy. I won't treat you this way if you don't cause trouble, right?" Demon King said cheerfully. "I'm looking forward to cooperating with a god."
"Hah, don't expect to help you. I just want to co out and look around, that's all."
"Yes, yes. By the way, want to chat with your old opponent? That god seems to be my ancestor."
After safely leaving this god's divine domain, Infinoi had imdiately sought her out.
After privately chatting with Infinoi for quite a while, Leticia finally accepted the reality that she now had an additional ancestor.
However, having one more cute ancestor wasn't a bad thing.
Regarding Leticia being able to persuade the God of Shadows to co out and cooperate with the demon race, Infinoi also praised her repeatedly.
"You did this much better than your ancestor." Infinoi patted Leticia's head, seemingly wanting to build favorability with this descendant. "But for her to actually yield—that's really strange."
"Probably didn't want to be alone in that pitch-black place anymore. Ancestor, your place looks much better than hers." Leticia shrugged. She wasn't speaking against her heart—Infinoi's palace indeed looked much better than that place without any light.
Infinoi giggled. "Sweet talker. Tell her that if there's a chance, she should co visit ."
So that's why Leticia brought this up now, while the God of Shadows showed little interest in her old opponent's invitation.
"What's there to talk about with her? Want to mock ?" The God of Shadows chuckled, but though she said this, her body honestly stood up.
Walking to the door, before leaving the room, she turned back and left Leticia with one sentence: "I'll go chat with her."
"Go, go. Staying at ancestor's place for dinner is fine too." Leticia waved her hand. After the God of Shadows completely disappeared, she quietly complained: "She's clearly the tsundere one."
"Hearing such words from your mouth has no persuasive power." Just after the God of Shadows left, Bai Ling, who had been waiting outside the room for a long ti, walked in.
Leticia's whispered complaints naturally couldn't escape her ears. Regarding this behavior of a tsundere calling another tsundere, Miss Bai indicated she'd take it seriously.
"Hey, I think you're getting cocky. Don't think that entering the divine domain to save will change my attitude toward you." Leticia imdiately slamd the table and stood up. But no matter how hard she tried to boost her montum, due to height issues, her presence just couldn't harden in front of Bai Ling.
And her words could only be said to have almost zero authenticity. At least from Bai Ling's perspective, after this incident, Leticia's attitude toward her had clearly improved considerably.
Though her words were still sowhat harsh, that emotion couldn't be hidden no matter what.
Leticia was definitely moved, Miss Bai thought.
"Good, no change." She smiled in reply. "I ca to tell you sothing. Little Ya's vacation is almost over, and we have to leave too."
"Leaving so soon?" Leticia asked subconsciously.
After saying the whole sentence, she belatedly realized her words had so different implications.
It sounded like she was reluctant for Bai Ling to leave so quickly. How could she possibly be reluctant?
Bai Ling's expression change made Leticia certain of this point. Seeing Bai Ling's slightly raised eyebrow expression, Leticia felt her face getting hot.
"Don't think wrong. I just think it's only been a few days—Little Ya probably hasn't played enough yet." She imdiately added. "As for you, leave if you want to leave. Who cares about you?"
As soon as these words ca out, Bai Ling's expression beca even more infuriating. The smile on her face could no longer be suppressed. "Mm mm, then I, whom nobody wants, will go back by myself."
Saying this, she turned around, as if she really planned to leave alone.
This guy... A vein popped on Leticia's forehead. Couldn't she not look so infuriating?
Did she really think she would speak up to keep her? Today Leticia would tell Bai Ling—impossible!
She, the dignified Demon King, would absolutely not do such inconsistent things. If Bai Ling wanted to leave, let her leave. She didn't care.
The white-haired girl walked step by step to the room's door. Her steps were very, very slow, as if deliberately giving Leticia ti to ask her to stay.
But until her hand gripped the door handle, Leticia still stood in place without saying a word.
Bai Ling curiously looked back, only to be shouted at by Leticia with a "why aren't you leaving yet" expression: "If you're leaving, hurry up and leave. Don't be an eyesore here."
It seed that ordinary tsundere thods didn't work on Leticia, Bai Ling thought.
Fortunately, she had another secret weapon: "Sumr's coming. I plan to vacation at the seaside. Want to co together?"
Leticia paused. "Seaside?"
There was no true sea in the Demon Realm, so Leticia was obviously stunned when she heard this word.
"Mm, I heard that city has developed well. I was thinking of going to play." Bai Ling nodded. "Consider it paynt for this ti. Is that okay?"
"Since you put it that way, how can I refuse?" Leticia rolled her eyes. She wasn't an ungrateful person. Compared to what Bai Ling had done for her, this request wasn't even equivalent. If she refused this, it would be too unreasonable.
"So you agree?"
"Right, right, I agree. But I need to finish handling the troubleso matters here first."
