Sixty to seventy percent resemblance?
Ye Jiuliang and the others exchanged glances.
"Ajiu, it seems our speculation wasn’t wrong," Ji Mingqian hooked his lips, his words carrying profound aning.
This Elder Mo knew their master, or perhaps even had an extraordinary relationship with him, all of these incidents were likely being manipulated by this Elder Mo from behind the scenes.
From the mont their master died, he had been laying traps.
Ye Jiuliang’s cold eyes slightly narrowed as he reached out to take back the appraisal report and reinserted it into the docunt bag.
His expression was calm and natural, as if nothing had happened at all.
Mo Chen looked on, inexplicably panicked, "Sister Ajiu, I..."
"Mo Chen." Not letting him finish, Ye Jiuliang cut him off, his gaze fixed on him as he spoke deliberately, "You should have seen the hostility your mother holds against . If what happened to my father years ago is related to her, and if she deliberately fabricated those lies to deceive my father and slander my mother, I will definitely settle these accounts with her properly."
"And your grandfather is very likely the mastermind behind the theft of our master’s life-saving herbs and even the desecration of our master’s tombstone. The people sitting here might well be the ones your grandfather has been sending people to assassinate and harm all along."
She knew he was innocent, but all of this was manipulated by his mother and grandfather, and those hard by them were just as innocent.
Mo Chen couldn’t believe what his ears were hearing, struck by the news like a bolt from the blue, his expression rigid.
After a long while, his lips trembling, he asked with a shaky voice, "Sister Ajiu, have you misunderstood sothing?"
Although his grandfather was sowhat cold, he wouldn’t be so cruel. How could he possibly harm so many people?
"Whether it’s a misunderstanding will soon be clear. Don’t ntion a word of what I told you today after you go back," Ye Jiuliang instructed with a cool voice.
Mo Chen nodded absently, montarily unable to digest all this information.
After hesitating for a long ti, he looked at Ye Jiuliang and began stamring, "Sister Ajiu, if..."
Knowing what he wanted to ask, Ye Jiuliang’s cold eyes dimd slightly, "Mo Chen, I told you from the start, those who provoke first, I can’t possibly let go."
Moreover, this was no longer a matter of simple provocation. Ti and again they plotted against them, and had they not been lucky, even nine lives wouldn’t have been enough to escape their harm.
Mo Chen remained silent, a faint layer of grey spreading in the depths of his eyes, his emotions obscured.
After a mont of silence, he spoke with a hoarse voice, "My dad ntioned divorce to my mother today, and he’s already moved out of the Mo Family house. To stop Mo Su from acquiring the shares of MK Group, he has fallen out with my grandfather and resigned from his position as the president of Tengyue Group."
This sudden?
Ji Mingqian and Gu Xinuo both exhibited looks of surprise.
Mo Yuan getting a divorce, wouldn’t that infuriate Mo Yu?
Ye Jiuliang’s eyes flickered with mockery as she scoffed.
The na on her father’s marriage certificate was her mother’s, and Mo Yuan was just a fake identity Mo Yu had bestowed upon him, hence even the marriage certificate was forged. There was no question of divorce.
It was nothing but her wishful thinking, a re joke.
The silence stretched on until it was broken by a ringtone.
Li Mochan picked up the phone, a call from ho.
Swiping to answer, Veya’s voice ca through, anxious, "Ahan, is Asheng with you?"
"No," Li Mochan responded, "What happened?"
Those nearby involuntarily turned towards him, with Ye Jiuliang close enough to vaguely catch so of Veya’s words over the phone, though not very clearly.
Could it be that sothing happened to Asheng?
"That kid Asheng, I arranged for him that day, but he left halfway, packed a few clothes at ho, and went off on a trip," Veya explained with a worried face on the other end, "I called him the day before yesterday, he said he was traveling in Country F, and was supposed to return today, but I haven’t seen him yet, and he isn’t answering his phone."
Li Mochan’s eyebrows furrowed, "Could his flight have been delayed?"
"No, your uncle just had soone check the flights from there, and Achen’s na wasn’t on any of the flights that have co back,"
"Auntie, don’t worry just yet, I’ll have soone look into it. You guys continue calling Achen’s phone. Maybe he just changed his mind at the last minute and didn’t go back, and it just so happens that his phone is out of battery," Li Mochan said with an uncharacteristically comforting coldness in his voice.
Extra sensitive to the na "Jiang Yisheng," Ji Mingqian instantly beca alert, his gaze fixed on Li Mochan’s phone.
After hanging up the call, Ye Jiuliang was the first to ask, "What happened to Asheng?"
"Asheng ca to Country F for a trip and was supposed to return today, but he’s nowhere to be seen, and his phone is unreachable," Li Mochan explained while dialing Wei Xi’s number.
Ye Jiuliang frowned, "Achen, ask the headquarters to check it out."
Asheng wasn’t soone who would make his family worry. If it was just so last-minute issue or his phone had died, it wouldn’t be a big deal, but the fear was that sothing serious had happened to him.
No sooner had the words left his mouth than Chu Chen had already taken out his phone to send a ssage to Qin Yi.
Ji Mingqian felt a sudden tightness in his chest and, forgetting he was still angry with Jiang Yisheng, took out his phone and dialed his number.
At so point, he had beco the one person who rembered Jiang Yisheng’s number by heart, even though he never bothered to morize anyone else’s.
"The number you have dialed is switched off..."
Ji Mingqian’s expression darkened as he incredulously redialed the number.
The result was the sa, switched off and unreachable.
Damn.
Where the hell had this guy hidden himself?
Ji Mingqian suppressed the urge to flip the table and suddenly stood up.
"I’ve got sothing to take care of, I’m leaving first," he blurted out and bolted for the door in a rush.
"Hey, Aqian..." Gu Xinuo called after him, but before she could ask where he was going, he was already gone.
After Li Mochan finished instructing Wei Xi, he glanced at the spot where Ji Mingqian had been sitting, a flicker of darkness passing through his deep eyes.
Once out of the hotel, Ji Mingqian headed straight for his own place.
On the way, he drove his sports car as if it were a rocket, scaring the other drivers into cursing profusely.
Ji Mingqian, who was preoccupied with Jiang Yisheng’s safety, paid no mind to the swearing.
He parked, turned off the engine,
got out of the car, slamd the door shut without taking the keys, and rushed into his house.
He turned on the computer and his fingers flew across the keyboard at breakneck speed.
Complex strings of codes flickered across the computer screen as Ji Mingqian squinted his eyes, relentlessly tapping on the keyboard.
As ti passed, his expression grew increasingly grim.
Suddenly, he grabbed the keyboard and slamd it down onto the desk forcefully.
Damn.
Going to so cursed gallery.
Every damn day.
Ji Mingqian grabbed his phone and started making a call as he walked out.
"The number you have dialed is switched off..."
Jiang Yisheng’s phone was still unreachable, and Ji Mingqian’s patience was running thin.
He pounded the steering wheel in anger and started the car to leave.
