"Thanks a lot, Master Li." She picked up the little spoon, scooped up so ice cream, and put it into her mouth.

So cold.

The feeling of eating ice cream in winter was just aweso.

Li Mochan’s lips curved into a helpless smile as he leaned in, reached out, and pulled the seat belt over to fasten it for her.

He asked her, "Where do you want to go next?"

"To the motorcycle shop." She curved her lips, a sly sparkle dancing in her eyes.

It’d been a long ti since she last went to buy a big motorcycle.

Having promised her last night, Li Mochan naturally wouldn’t forget.

"Okay."

He ruffled her hair carelessly and retracted his hand, then drove away.

By the ti they arrived at the motorcycle shop, more than half the box of ice cream had found its way into Ye Jiuliang’s stomach.

Upon seeing the motorcycles, Ye Jiuliang no longer cared about the ice cream, tossing the remaining half of the box straight into the bin.

"Take it slow."

Li Mochan watched the person running ahead, unable to completely conceal the amusent in his eyes.

The staff at the shop recognized Li Mochan and Ye Jiuliang and rushed up to serve them with fawning smiles plastered on their faces.

"Master Li, is there anything we can help you with?"

Li Mochan’s thin lips parted, his voice crisp, "No need."

The salesperson, apt in reading the room, noticed that Li Mochan’s attention was fixed on Ye Jiuliang, instantly understood, and quietly stepped aside.

This motorcycle shop was the biggest in the capital, naturally offering a multitude of models.

Ye Jiuliang moved back and forth, her eyes shining as she looked at the motorcycles.

Suddenly, she paused, turned back, and looked at Li Mochan, "Mo."

Li Mochan stepped forward, arriving in front of her, "Made your choice?"

Ye Jiuliang smiled, her eyes crinkling at the corners, "Five of them."

Her earnest and sweet smile struck right at Li Mochan’s heart, and with an effortless stretch of his arm, he wrapped her into his embrace.

He chuckled softly, "Five is enough?"

Ye Jiuliang nodded, one of them was a gift she had in mind for Mo Chen.

Just then, her phone buzzed in her pocket.

Ye Jiuliang pulled out her phone, glanced at the caller ID, it was from Xue Wu.

She slid to answer, while Li Mochan let go and walked over to the checkout counter to pay.

"Which news agency?" Ye Jiuliang walked to a secluded corner, the smile in her eyes slowly freezing over.

"ZE News Agency," Xue Wu said, "The news started spreading from there. Master Jiu, do you want to take action?"

Ye Jiuliang’s eyes narrowed, her voice calm yet laced with a cool edge, "Leave it, I’ll handle it myself."

Footsteps approached from behind, she hung up the call, turned around, and the man was already in front of her.

"Sothing wrong?" Li Mochan asked.

Ye Jiuliang crossed her arms, casually scrutinizing him with a teasing smile, "It seems that good-looking people really do attract others’ covetousness."

The praise oddly sounded a bit mocking, Li Mochan lifted a hand to pinch her face, "Starting with the wisecracks again, huh?"

"Soone’s watching," she reminded him.

He raised an eyebrow, "So what?"

She brushed his hand away, her eyes gleaming, the corners of her lips slightly upturned presenting a rakishly handso deanor, "Touching my face like that damages my image."

Li Mochan’s cool gaze softened with a smile, his hand sliding down to hold hers, "Let’s go. Have the motorcycles delivered to Mo Garden later."

Ye Jiuliang humd a response, and as they walked out of the shop, she said, "I need to make a trip to ZE News Agency."

"What for?" Li Mochan opened the car door for her, and Ye Jiuliang got in.

"Settling scores."

Hearing this, Li Mochan’s gaze deepened as he closed the car door and walked to the other side to get in.

The black sports car sped away, leaving the staff mbers from the dealership to erge with expressions that were hard to describe.

They, too, wished to be wealthy, to carelessly throw money around without looking at the price tags.

...

As noon approached, the tense atmosphere in the office gradually relaxed.

Among the whispered conversations were discussions about what to eat for lunch today, as well as the latest gossip.

"Brother Fan, the editor-in-chief is looking for you, wants you to stop by his office," a young man shouted from the upstairs corridor.

"Got it." Guo Fan stood up, gathered two manuscripts from his desk, and headed upstairs.

No sooner had he left than his colleagues began to murmur amongst themselves.

"Lately, Brother Fan is the golden boy in front of the editor-in-chief. It looks like we’ll all need to rely on him more in the future."

"That’s not necessarily true. What kind of person is Master Li? Those reports he’s writing are just asking for trouble," another person disagreed.

"Exactly, just Ye Jiuliang alone is a nightmare. You don’t know, last ti she took a group of us journalists all the way to the seaside, she’s more terrifying than a demon."

"But, strangely enough, despite all the recent rumors flying around, Ye Jiuliang hasn’t shown any response. Could it really be as the rumors suggest, that Master Li actually has sothing going on with that lady from the Tengyue Group?"

"Stop talking about it, it’s none of our business. We’d better stay out of it."

Upon hearing this, everyone nodded and quickly dispersed.

Entering the office, Guo Fan casually closed the door behind him.

"Editor-in-chief, you wanted to see ."

The man sitting at the desk, probably in his forties, had eyes flashing calculatingly behind the fra of his glasses.

He Ming, the editor-in-chief of ZE Newspaper.

"Co and have a seat."

Guo Fan quickly walked over, pulled out a chair, and sat down opposite him, acting obediently.

"Guo Fan, the exclusive scoop you brought in has earned you major points. Here’s so extra bonus for you," said He Ming as he took an envelope out of his drawer, thick with money.

Guo Fan’s eyes lit up, his lips pressing down an excited smile.

"Editor-in-chief, I was just doing my duty."

He Ming glanced at him and said with a light smile, "Take it, then."

"Thank you, editor-in-chief." Guo Fan reached for the envelope, his smile obsequious.

"Editor-in-chief, it has been quite a while, and Ye Jiuliang hasn’t made any moves. It seems this matter might be quite credible. Should we strike while the iron is hot..."

The two n exchanged a look and shared a knowing smile.

"Leave it to you to handle this matter, and use this opportunity to raise the reputation of our newspaper," He Ming said.

"Don’t worry, editor-in-chief, I won’t let you down."

The sound of the engine died away, and the black sports car arrogantly blocked the entrance to the newspaper office, its sleek and flashy body drawing frequent attention from pedestrians.

Ye Jiuliang unbuckled her seat belt and turned her gaze to the person beside her, "Master Li, could you buy an iced coffee?"

Li Mochan raised an eyebrow, "Is there a reward?"

"Yes, I’ll cook sothing tasty for you when we get back," Ye Jiuliang said, her tone sowhere between jest and seriousness.

The smile on Li Mochan’s lips froze, "..."

Tasty food?

Was she really capable of making it?

Ye Jiuliang poked his cheek with her hand, "What’s that look for?"

"The reward isn’t needed, I’ll go buy it for you now," Li Mochan coughed lightly, diplomatically changing the subject.

He certainly didn’t want to spoil his stomach, and he had no desire to be food poisoned.
