Chapter 1005: Chapter 1007: Back to the Police Station
The gun went off.
Everyone stared at Li Lei in shock, not expecting him to actually fire the gun. They were dumbfounded.
Butcher’s eyes instantly flashed with a fierce light. If he hadn’t been quick enough to slap Li Lei’s handgun away, causing it to veer off, he might have actually been shot in the head and t his end here.
"You’re playing for real with !"
Butcher said, reaching out to grab Li Lei’s arm and then directly snatching the gun from his hand. He aid the gun at Li Lei’s head and pulled the trigger without a word.
"Butcher!!"
Radar and Xue Zhi hurriedly shouted, wanting to stop him, but it was already too late.
The gun went off again.
Bang, bang, bang, bang...
A series of shots rang out, leaving everyone with ringing ears.
Everyone looked at Lei Ming in shock. Lei Ming threw down his gun, swearing, "Damn it, if it weren’t for being in this country, I’d have taken your life ten tis over!"
Radar and Xue Zhi breathed a sigh of relief. Luckily, Butcher hadn’t actually killed a cop; otherwise, they’d have to flee abroad again. Coming back ho only to flee abroad right away would be embarrassing.
Lin Fei looked at Butcher appreciatively. In the past, once Butcher lost control, he killed indiscriminately, especially on the battlefield, hence earning the nickna "Butcher." The number of people who died at his hands wasn’t a few hundred but rather a thousand or two.
Though Butcher pointed the gun at Li Lei just now, he didn’t actually kill him but instead fired next to Li Lei’s ear, hitting the opposite wall. So, Li Lei was not injured.
Now, Butcher wasn’t as impulsive as before, which was a good thing for him. On the battlefield, impulsiveness might feel good for a mont, but it often leads to more trouble.
A Butcher who was no longer impulsive would be an even more terrifying existence.
Only now did Li Lei co to his senses, the gunshots still echoed in his mind, making his ears ring deafeningly. Once he realized what happened, he quickly exclaid, "You, you dared assault a police officer!"
"Assault your fucking mom! What if I did!"
Butcher cursed angrily, slapping Li Lei across the face, sending him flying. He landed in an arc on the ground, clutching his face and unable to speak for a while, seeing Butcher approaching him again.
Seeing Butcher coming closer, Li Lei felt a shiver throughout his body, wanting to get up and run, but his legs wouldn’t listen, feeling as heavy as if filled with lead.
"What, what are you going to do?" Li Lei asked, fearful, his face still numbed, likely swelling into a big bun by tomorrow.
Butcher bent down, looked at Li Lei, and said, "Let
ask you, did I assault an officer?"
"No, no." Li Lei quickly responded.
"Since not, everyone heard it. I didn’t assault an officer. Nothing to worry about." Butcher shrugged and walked over to Lin Fei.
Lin Fei stepped forward at this mont and said to Chen Qi: "Officer Chen Qi, I think that officer is right. We are willing to go with you and wait for soone to bail us out."
Hearing Lin Fei’s words, Chen Qi could only sigh, "Lin Fei, you really don’t need to go."
Though Butcher hit Li Lei, since Li Lei said that, he likely won’t take it back. Otherwise, Butcher wouldn’t let him off, and the other matters weren’t a big deal.
"It’s okay. We should follow what the officer said." Lin Fei said, considering it could cause trouble for Chen Qi if people spread rumors after witnessing this.
"Alright then, let’s take them all back to the police station."
Knowing Lin Fei’s decision was hard to change, Chen Qi decided to take him back right away so they could arrange for his release as soon as possible.
Lin Fei and the others got into the police car and were taken back to the station. In the car, Butcher said, "What a damn bad luck, coming back only to end up going to the police station."
Radar chuckled and said, "Not bad though, at least to rember the past and see if anything’s changed at Mo Country’s station."
Hearing Radar’s words, Lin Fei rembered the ti when he entered the police station and Mu Shanshan helped bail him out. At that ti, he almost forcefully dealt with Chen Qi inside.
Thinking about that, it was quite interesting. If he’d really done it with Chen Qi in the police station, who knows what the consequences would have been.
However, once they arrived at the station, Lin Fei faced another problem. Who should he call to bail him out? Mu Shanshan? That would be troubleso. Asking others would be a bother, and calling the boss would be making a big deal out of it, especially since the old lady might still be angry.
Upon arriving at the police station, the chief had already gone ho. The night outside was beautiful, but inside the station, it felt cold and devoid of warmth.
"Get out of here, Butcher. You’re looking for warmth in a police station like finding a lollipop in a cesspool," Radar laughed.
"But this isn’t a cesspool. And why are the boss and his wife off doing sothing else? What are they up to?" Butcher smirked mischievously.
"Looking at your expression, you must know exactly what they’re up to," Xue Zhi remarked suddenly.
Butcher chuckled slyly, "Should we go check it out?"
"I don’t dare," Radar said. "If you’re thinking the boss’s fists have gotten rusty over the years, go ahead, I’ll support you."
"Let’s forget it then."
Lin Fei and Chen Qi were at the ti in the old boxing practice room, engaging in their intimate act, reminiscing about past feelings until Radar braced himself and knocked on the door, saying soone had arrived for bail. Only then did Lin Fei conclude the session.
After tidying up, Lin Fei and Chen Qi ca to the police station’s main hall, where a tall, cold-faced beauty stood waiting for Lin Fei.
"Shanshan, you’re here," Lin Fei asked.
Mu Shanshan turned around, her face even colder after seeing Lin Fei and Chen Qi coming together. She said, "Everything’s done. Let’s go."
Seeing Mu Shanshan with such an imposing presence, Radar and Butcher didn’t dare to joke around. After all, their boss was behaving himself, refraining from acting up in front of Mu Shanshan, indicating his life wasn’t all that easy.
After bidding farewell to Chen Qi, Lin Fei followed Mu Shanshan and drove to the villa. Upon arriving and entering the villa, Lin Fei introduced the three to Mu Shanshan.
After eting Mu Shanshan, the trio called her "sister-in-law," surprising her. However, Lin Fei soon explained the brothers’ shared life-and-death bond to Mu Shanshan.
Only then did Mu Shanshan understand that these three were Lin Fei’s sworn brothers, and her expression softened.
