Chapter 401 - Lucas Kissing Her?!
The extended and constant stare was out of the blue.
She didn't expect him to act so softly and sweet towards her. Despite her negligence in front of Javier and how badly he was treated, he was still telling her that she is his?
When she has outspokenly expressed her love for Javier?
At this point, Jennifer wished to simply go and hug her husband, Javier...It was her disadvantage that she had no idea how he is right now.
But her revenge can never be dimd down by his sugary behavior at all…!
Not letting her expressions be changed much, Jennifer took a step back when she muttered, "Y-You… are right. I'm not going anywhere else.."
"I will not let you go, so don't worry." Lucas's overbearing voice was still sothing to digest in her stomach.
She had never seen him in such a way, except when he had tried to get physical with her in his drunk state.
She could vividly rember that at that mont, Jennifer had hit him, and then… rest was history.
Once again,? Lucas extended his hands in her direction, signaling her to take it. With a lot of reluctance on that surface, Jennifer managed to hold it again.
Putting the stone over her head, Jennifer once again started walking alongside him. There was absolute silence that hovered among them but she liked it this way.
Nevertheless, he never talks in a better way. It was much more relaxing when he kept his mouth shut!
But her wish didn't co true since he opened his mouth to speak, "I was thinking, we can go sowhere abroad after our marriage, what do you say about this?"
In return, Jennifer didn't answer. She kept herself reserved with her mind not even thinking about a honeymoon. They haven't even got married yet!
How can he at last dream about a honeymoon? Thinking about marriage, her mind was diverted to the direction of her own marriage which was yet to be registered on the papers in the international council.
Lack of response from her side never demotivated Lucas as he continued to blurt out, "There are many places which I guess will be suitable for us. Maybe in the South? The temperature is not very down there in the upcoming days..or maybe north if you like the winters.."
"Let's wait for the mont." was all that she spoke to make him shut his mouth but that was all due.
He was like a kid who was still bent on cheering and lifting her mood, despite not understanding that she isn't in the state to do so. "Jennifer...oh c'mon, the wedding is gonna happen soday. Why can't we make plans prior to that!?"
'Because I don't plan on getting married to a bastard like you. I'm already a married woman, idiot.' she thought but didn't like it either.
Her mind and soul belong to soone else and she won't hide the fact that being with him was enough to defuse her.
If things were in her control, she would have already run away from this mont. Standing with him was the last thing she would like to witness.
Yet her hands were tied with her own revenge which she had to initiate.
Taking a deep breath, she let out a deep sigh when she looked at Lucas with her teary eyes, "Lucas.. listen to ." saying this, she stopped and asked him to face her.
As per words, he did stop and turned to the side to look at her face which was showing her dismay and unhappiness, "Listen, I know that we both have to get married but, I told you that I need ti."
"Forgetting Javier isn't that easy as what you think it is. I don't want to sound rude but it will take ti to actually love you. The past incident has stuck in my brain and, getting it out needs a lot of peace.." Jennifer brutally told him.
Not minding if he will be hurt or furious over her, but Jennifer had ought to gain sympathy. Making her turtle-shaped eyes, and lowering eyelids, Jennifer was bent on not letting him see her bravery because her outspokenness will actually put her in the more disadvantageous positions.
Staring at her puppy eyes the words, made a frown curve on his forehead.
Lucas didn't speak for the next few minutes, making Jennifer conscious. She was fearful that he might explode his rage over her.
But then, sothing unexpected happened.
Jennifer saw him actually taking a deep breath and trying hard to not let his veins pop up like the last ti.
Instead of being angry, he stepped a bit close to her, before he cupped her face like that of any baby, "Don't worry, I will never force you to do sothing for ."
"I'm happy that you are giving us a chance as well. It will be more than enough for for now, that you are trying to forget about Javier Johnson. he..can be out of us from now onwards."
The eyeball of Jennifer didn't move from his pretending face. From the depth of her heart, she was wondering how can a man like him be so gracious at one mont and then, act as if nothing happened?
How can he switch between his own himself so effortlessly? Or maybe people like him don't even need to do so because they make it every day!
They are too used to doing the sa, making her almost believe that he was no less than any other chaleon.
However, Jennifer felt sothing odd. He was standing too close to her body, where the warmth was transferring from his body to hers. The hands were literally close to her lips, where he caressed her chin lightly.
Her heart had already started to shutter at the thought. With the ti, Lucas only stared at her face with mixed emotional eyes, while Jennifer had to take a deep breath.
No, she could sense that her lungs were at the strike!
The sweat was ford in her palms, and she went through a mini heart attack, when Lucas tilted his head a bit, closing his eyes.
The grip tightened around her chin where Jennifer's mind was racing up from the firecrackers in them.
'NO..No....I can't let him kiss right now!'
