Chapter 25 - Neither Mistress, Nor Caretaker!
After a deep and intense session of making out with her boss, Olivia and Lucas both landed on the bed with exhaustion. Both of their breathing was uneven already and sweat on their bodies.
Olivia turned her face to stare at Lucas's face who just made her reach the heights of the moon. "You were incredibly good."
"Do you question my stamina and performance?" He replied in an extrely cold tone which was making her frown after such a good and lightened thing to feel, "I never said that. It was just a complint. Why do you need to be so sarcastic in everything?"
She was talking and listening to whatever he was saying. Sotis it makes her feel that she was just being one of his puppets. Listening and agreeing to whatever he says and not even putting forward her own opinion, in the feeling that he might get upset and burst his anger on her.
Lucas looked uncared. His dominating attitude always irritates her but he is too distant to understand and gives it any of his attention. "My fiance is not there with and you want to be happy about it?"
Jennifer.
Olivia's mood turned gloomy the mont she rembered that Jennifer wasn't there. They both were lying naked, under the blanket. Just had steamy sex yet he ntioned his fiance who doesn't even respect his status.
She wasn't only annoyed but jealousy crept inside her heart. Deep down, she knows the real truth about Lucas's alliance with Jennifer but it wasn't easy to accept.
"You have never done anything with her. D you rember that you ntioned you will not touch anyone until and unless you have Jennifer in your clutch?" She rembered his last words too well. How can she forget the mocking in his voice when he said those words and in the end, he did stay loyal to his own statent.
He never touched her, not even soone else to ease his sexual tension!
He was stubborn to take Jennifer to his bed but she declined without any thought. Not only that, she dared to hit him with a vase in his face which resulted in him having a bed rest for ten days because the cut was too deep.
At that ti, he swore that he won't touch any girl except Jennifer but today he broke that as well.
Her words seed to ignite sothing inside his mind because the instant those words left her mouth, Lucas's bloodshot eyes passed her dagger.
Turning his body around, he brought his hand near her neck, slowly at first but the grip tightened which made Olivia's eyes widened.
"Lucas!! What are you doing? Leave my neck!" She was finding it difficult to breathe and seeing the cold look on his face made her scared.
"Do not ntion that incident again. Understand that! You are my assistant and act like one." Was all that he spoke and removed his hand from her neck, leaving the vulnerable Olivia back, without even thinking about her situation.
Standing up on his toes, he picked up his shirt and pants from the floor and wore them without even sparing Olivia a glance who was lying under the blanket and staring at his back with her intense gaze.
"Where are you going now?" those words accidentally slipped out of her lips though, she really wished to ask. "I have work. You too, get dressed and start the rest of the work. Lunch break is already over."
Inside the blanket, her hands clenched into a fist. She was not his mistress, nor his caretaker. All she was doing by her own will but sotis people take your love and attention for granted.
Olivia knew that she was in the sa situation where her worth wasn't even counted. Pressing the button too much we'll never make her win but her heart always squeezes.
Lucas quickly got dressed and left the room, closing the door with a bang!
His departure only made Olivia look outside of the large window. Looking at the sky, she felt how alone she was. 'My mistake is that I fell for soone as ruthless as him and to think he can ever have a heart.'
The bedsheet was all tempered, all thanks to their session but for him, she will always be that ordinary woman who is too easily available. 'If only I can leave you alone in this all ss… how wonderful would it be Lucas?'
A bitter smile plastered on her face on her own thoughts. She never expected herself to act so womanly just for him. But then, sothing seems to appear in her mind. Unconsciously, she pulled the blanket closer to her body, to cover herself well but deep down, this was to ease the pain and cover it just like that.
She too has secrets but she never shared them, because no one was near her to listen to her misery as well...
But at the sa ti, how can she forget that if Lucas gets what he is willing to take from Jennifer, the benefits of his will be shared by her?
"If he gains more power, won't he then vote for another candidate as his wife? Well Jennifer will be replaced and.. then it will be .." he gave her his words and the reason she is willing to participate is because of the half of the gain she would be getting from Lucas and Jennifer's alliance.
At the bed's corner was lying her phone which rang just now. Olivia picked it up without sparing a glance. "Hello?"
"Olivia, you were asked to present the reports in the next twenty hours. It has already been three days! What is Lucas planning now?" The sudden voice filled with fury entered into her ears but instantly her hand wrapped around her phone to lower the volu so that Lucas, outside won't listen to her conversation.
"Who asked you to call in the middle of work?" she was angry, and whispered in a feeble voice, "Just get the details soon. We don't have much ti to go into depth. Rember you work and you motive to stay at your place."
