Chapter 127 - Heart To Heart Talks!
Javier's voice was almost bringing her into heaven but at the sa ti, her eyes widened in the pitch dark room.
Although his eyes were simply closed yet his voice was so accurate to make her feel as if he can see through their soul.
"Wh...what do you an?" She asked in her stumbling voice with a lot of cautiousness.
At this point, Javier opened his eyes and stared at the sleepy and lazy figure, Jennifer who was in surprise, "What?! As if I don't know that you are getting no sleep? What are you thinking?"
It wasn't much shocking yet she found it amusing that he noticed sothing so minor about her. "I..I was.. just thinking about random things. How did you predict?"
"Because you are continuously moving. Although I was feeling sleepy seeing you in the restless state made my sleep vanish. I guess, we can talk now."
Despite the light switched off, she saw his face via the moonlight.
She doesn't know why but the urge to touch his face once suddenly rose in her heart. How will his face feel? Is it soft? Or just...hard like other muscular man's?!
Dozens of questions were raised when the slice engulfed in between them. No one spoke batting first, but then Javier broke the silence through his words.
"Jennifer, say it... don't hesitate." he pulled her back from the imaginary world, which made her nod her head slightly.
Putting her head against the soft pillow, she spoke in the most innocent voice.
"I was.. wondering about my life.. what will happen further?" Her words made Javier sowhat puzzled.
He made her lay in the comfortable position since from a load of her words, it was evident that there would be much more to say.
"Go ahead. You have my ears." He gave her the attention to say her heart out now as he is hearing her with all his attention.
Jennifer bit her lower lip in nervousness. It was conflicting in her mind as to whether to just speak her heart and pour it in for him so openly?
The fear of getting judged lingered yet it was important to say and sought her ssed up life. "Just thinking that.. What will happen when everything will be fine? I an, don't you ever think of a life away from these mafia things and all?"
"Your family is no less complicated, doesn't that make you feel like leaving everything back and starting a new life afresh down where there will be no one around and none to fear around anymore?"
Jennifer managed to utter those words out of her mouth with all the courage in her mind and heart. Even it took her by the shock that she managed to say this at one go.
Sowhat Javier was amazed. Her question was not of so words yet of few sentences and each one holds a different answer and power.
Taking a deep breath, Javier too answered back, "You are fed up with this kind of life?"
"Not exactly fed up. Just giving it a thought about what I will do after this ss is cleared? Once you get what you want... Ever thought about that? What?"
Jennifer wasn't fed up but she was wondering what will she do if Lucas is destroyed at once and for all?
Javier had a fiance and getting her heart attached to a man like him seems a good possibility yet the drama is very large.
Moreover, his fiance isn't soone ordinary either. The family is involved and as per her mind, the family intervention makes things be really serious between the two.
Although he doesn't like her, that doesn't an he isn't her fiance. Until and unless he breaks the arrangent himself.
"Jen.." he called her na softly, "You know that I'm not giving you back to Lucas so easily?"
He received a nod from her side. Jennifer was eagerly looking at his face with her eager eyes, "This all ss is very difficult to handle and I know but willingly we have to live in this."
"Why!? I an without it too, you have ever wondered and thought what would you like to do? If not being a mber of the Mafia family then what?"
Her question aning was deep to Charles and Javier can feel the power of it in his heart itself.
She wasn't shaking her heart easily and Javier knew that she would not step back until he answered.
Recalling all the ti he thought about his future in his university days survived in his mind. Everything flashed as if the days and thoughts were still there, never faded with ti.
"Hmm?" Jennifer waited for him to reply back. The amount of interest he took in her words was interesting and this gave her inner satisfaction.
'Isn't this the easiest way to know if.. we both can have the sa path or not?' The thought that his reply might change everything was understandable.
But at the sa ti her pounder at a high rate. It wasn't as easy as she thought to convince herself of either situation, or going away too.
Yet she decided to stick by his side no matter what..
For few minutes Javier didn't answer at all and stayed quiet. This gave her a feeling of danger when her heart started to feel a lot of thunder.
'Is he angry?' She wondered but when he started speaking it gave her a lot of relaxation.
"I thought about the sa… many years ago. If I wouldn't have co back to my state then I'm sure that I would have gone sowhere else."
"I would have taken a job or shifted my company there and started a family.. a peaceful family. Sounds interesting right?"
