Chapter 126 - Bothering
Jennifer was waiting in her room for Javier's arrival but it was already late for him to show up at the door.
With the passing ti, the butler brought her food and kept it on the coffee table but she wasn't in a mood to eat it.
Rather she replied with a small smile, "I will wait for Javier and then we both can eat together...so please place it there and close it."
Butler had no objection and he did as she instructed him. He left her alone and she was getting bored to death.
Watching television for long didn't work in her favor. Moreover, with the mixed mind of hers, she knew that it was important to once clear out things.
Until Javier didn't arrive even in the night. The sa made her eyelids heavy. The entire day was hectic to the next extend and she found it hard to even control her own sleep.
With the drama revolving around her, Jennifer was sitting on the couch, waiting for her one's arrival yet there was no presence of his.
As ti flew, her eyes were barely open and she droved to sleep without eating anything, on the couch itself.
Though her sleep wasn't much deep, the tiredness was clearly getting her to just doze off the mont.
When Javier arrived, without knocking, he stepped inside to see the sign and was amazed. 'So this lady slept even without eating food?' In his mind, he was utterly amazed since it was no hidden fact that the girl loves to eat.
Especially when she enjoyed the taste of the food in lunch, she must be craving to touch the food yet it was puzzling and confusing why was this covered food in front of him was… not eaten till yet?
Without making any noise, Javier walked back to his washroom to get changed into his ho clothes. The day was tiring for him as well and he can feel his exhaustion taking a toll over his body too.
But still, the food was important and she too had acidity problems.
When he walked out of the washroom with pajamas and a normal ho-wear t-shirt, he saw her still asleep.
Waking closer towards her with his baby steps, he touched her shoulders slightly, "Jen, see I'm back.."
At first, her eyes suddenly opened, what ca in view was his fine face. "You...are back.."
"I'm. You Didn't eat your dinner?" He sat beside her and started putting the food on the plate when she stabilized herself with her position and was able to open her eyes finally.
Looking at his face and hand, she asked him with a sleepy voice, "You got late. What happened?"
"There were so matters in the company that I had to handle... Don't worry.. now that I'm here, we will eat food."
"I was waiting for your arrival… and which company?" She was interested in know about this. He doesn't look like soone who will have a saying about his brother's company that is his real Johsons's business.
Javier didn't reply straightly instead spoke in a soft tone, "I have a business as well. It isn't as large as Johnsons but yeah... it is doing good too."
She was surprised to hear the sa. Her eyes imdiately widened when she heard his words but it seems that he had no interest to talk about his business anymore,
'He must be exhausted already so I should avoid the sa!'
At the sa ti, she has more important work to do. Clearing her confusion for once and all, otherwise, it might get delayed and she won't be unable to sleep in peace.
With Austin's arrival, she was sure things were on the verge of getting ssy.
Clearing her throat, Jennifer finally asked, while taking her hand, "I had sothing to ask.."
"First you should have dinner." Javier replied back and started eating but her heart wasn't convinced, "No, I have sothing important to ask. Like, about life. Please?"
Seeing her tensed and so eager to ask, Javier was a little confused and cautious. His eyes turned a bit alert, when without averting his gaze he said, "Aright. Go ahead. What do you wish to say?"
Taking another bite of the food, Jennifer was faced with mixed emotions.
'Should I just say directly or beat around the bush at first?' She was utterly puzzled with respect to her way of addressing things.
At the sa ti, she was unsure if he would react in a positive manner?
When her eyes traveled to his face, she noticed how exhausted he looked currently. "Umm...Leave it. We will talk about it so other ti."
"Alright." Javier too did not press the matter, unlike all the ti he does. But Jennifer wants to slap her own forehead. What kind of stupid ga did she play with her own mind? How co she uttered those words?
Jennifer was herself in the dilemma of what just happened right now. She was eager to ask him and for the sa reason, she didn't eat and touch the food on the table.
Yet, after seeing his exhaustion and tiredness, her heart lted and she can't simply make him more tired, which is truly not her nature.
If she has sothing to ask, she will definitely ask it...but the case was different here.
Within a few minutes, they finished their dinner. Minimum words were exchanged and neither of them initiated a longer talk since both of them were tired.
At last, both of them slept on the bed while taking the cover on her body and covering it fully.
"Good night," Javier said before he swished off the light of the entire room and let the curtain be aside to let the moonlight co inside.
Although, Jennifer did say that she will be okay and will talk about the sa so other ti heart wasn't at ease.
How is she going to sleep? 'Close your eyes, Jennifer, maybe you can find so sleep.'
Shutting her eyes, Jennifer tried her best to concentrate and sleep. To find the comfortable position, she shifted a little back, when Javier's body touched hers slightly did she find so warmness and the feeling of sothing secured.
Yet, in the middle of the night, her eyes opened many tis.
There is no chance of any deep slumber which was very irritating for her. Changing her direction of sleeping many tis didn't help either, which finally resulted in her getting irritated too.
Finally, she faced Javier to see his face sleeping. The peace she saw was the sa as she was looking to have, unfortunately, there was nothing in her sleep.
But the husky voice almost sent shivers down her spine, "Just tell , what is it bothering you and not giving you enough sleep?"
