"Hello, oh, Doctor Yang?" Lin Xiaoyan was surprised to see that the doctor on duty was Doctor Yang.

"You’re here," Yang Lin smiled imdiately upon seeing Lin Xiaoyan. "I expected you’d co for a follow-up today, please sit."

Lin Xiaoyan quickly sat down, feeling a bit embarrassed, "About the last dical bill, Doctor Yang, I..."

Yang Lin waved his hand and said solemnly, "I actually need to thank you properly. What you did last ti was truly appreciated."

Lin Xiaoyan quickly shook her head, "No, no need, Doctor Yang. I believe anyone would have stepped in seeing that situation."

Yang Lin’s handso face broke into a smile, "But at the ti, you were the only one who bravely stepped up."

Saying that, Yang Lin took a box out of the drawer, "I hope you can accept my gratitude, that way I can feel better too."

Lin Xiaoyan looked at the gift box Yang Lin handed over and quickly stood up, "Doctor Yang, this is really not necessary, I..."

Lin Xiaoyan had never received gifts from others since she was a child, even if friends gave her sothing, she would return a gift of the sa value.

Because her parents taught her from a young age not to accept gifts for nothing, as it was improper.

Yang Lin laughed at the sight of Lin Xiaoyan’s refusal. Since their last eting, he knew she seed a bit timid but had a great character.

"It’s not an expensive item, it’s a pair of glasses I’ve been researching. They can relieve eye fatigue and prevent vision damage, still in the experintal stage. Just take them as you are testing them for ." Yang Lin opened the box, indeed revealing a pair of glasses inside.

Upon hearing this, Lin Xiaoyan accepted them and tried them on. After wearing them for a while, she sensed the magic of these glasses.

"Doctor Yang, these glasses feel truly comfortable, my left eye doesn’t feel sore when I look at things," Lin Xiaoyan said with delight.

In recent days, after reading docunts for extended periods, her left eye would feel sore and tear up.

Just now, she looked at the words on the wall for a few minutes, and her eye felt no strain at all. It seed these glasses really alleviate eye fatigue.

Yang Lin was relieved to see Lin Xiaoyan so happy. He had been pondering for days on what gift to give for thanks, knowing she wouldn’t accept anything costly.

Finding cheap ones unworthy, he settled on these glasses instead, and fortunately, they were useful.

"Thank you, Doctor Yang, I really like these glasses. I’ve been reading a lot of materials lately for work, and they’ll be a great help."

Lin Xiaoyan thanked Doctor Yang once more.

"Glad they help you. Now, lie down here and let check your eyes." Yang Lin rose with a smile.

Lin Xiaoyan quickly lay down on the examination bed. The bright light shone on her face, causing her to involuntarily shut her eyes.

Warm fingers touched her left eye, gently holding it open.

Finally, Lin Xiaoyan sighed in relief; this ti she didn’t "see" anything else, thankfully!

"Don’t be nervous, I’m just going to check..." Yang Lin spoke softly.

"It’s all good, your eyes are recovering well. Continue using the eye drops from last ti. Once they’re finished, you can buy a regular eye fatigue relieving drop from the pharmacy, and rember to rest your eyes..."

"Okay, thank you, Doctor Yang," Lin Xiaoyan expressed her gratitude again.

Lin Xiaoyan checked the ti, seeing she had a few minutes left, she glanced up at the handso Yang Lin with so hesitation.

Yang Lin finished writing his notes and looked up to see Lin Xiaoyan’s conflicted face. He gently asked, "Is there sothing else? Please feel free to say."

After a mont of hesitation, Lin Xiaoyan cautiously inquired, "Well, Doctor Yang, I want to ask, you know in movies, when soone’s eyes are injured and they regain sight, magical things happen, like... X-ray vision or mind-reading..."

Yang Lin couldn’t help but laugh upon hearing Lin Xiaoyan’s words, she was indeed still a child.

"Those are just science fiction, as you said, it’s movies, not sothing that happens in real life.

As for why so people have other issues after eye injuries, it might be impacting the neural system, such cases require tily dical attention..."

Lin Xiaoyan’s heart sank, "Ah... okay, thank you, Doctor Yang."

Yang Lin noticed the change in Lin Xiaoyan’s expression, "Is there sothing else that’s bothering you?"

Lin Xiaoyan quickly shook her head, "No, no, um... goodbye, Doctor Yang, I have to rush to work, I wouldn’t want to disrupt your work."

Saying this, Lin Xiaoyan imdiately got up and left.

"Hey..." Yang Lin hadn’t even had a chance to react before Lin Xiaoyan left.

"Doctor Yang, the inpatient departnt is urging again, please..." the assistant ca in right after Lin Xiaoyan left, reminding Doctor Yang.

Yang Lin collected himself and stood up, "Let’s go."

"Oh, okay!" the assistant promptly followed Yang Lin to the inpatient departnt.

"Doctor Wan, Doctor Yang has left, please head to the consult room," the head nurse called Doctor Wan as soon as Doctor Yang left.

"Coming, coming! Oh, this Xiao Yang even ca over to wait just to say thanks..." Doctor Wan strolled leisurely with a teacup in hand.

Lin Xiaoyan went to work with a heavy heart, constantly recalling Doctor Yang’s words throughout the day.

She pondered if her hallucinations could be due to a problem with her neural system.

But then again, she thought, her left eye was only superficially injured and didn’t have any surgery affecting her nerves!

"Xiao Lin, end of the workday, handle what’s left tomorrow. The weather looks like it’s going to rain, head ho,"

Nearby, Ai Lin, ready to leave with her bag, checked the weather and reminded Lin Xiaoyan.

"Oh... okay, thank you... Sister Lin, I’ll pack up and head ho now," Lin Xiaoyan snapped out of her thoughts, responding to Ai Lin with slight tension.

One more glance at the cloudy skies outside, she imdiately gathered her things.

Watching the tense Lin Xiaoyan, Ai Lin laughed, "Feeling tired? Since our company got a new boss, things have been hectic. Luckily you’re here, or we would’ve gone crazy."

Lin Xiaoyan quickly shook her head, "It’s... it’s okay, I should be thankful to you, otherwise I’d still be job-hunting, worrying about my als..."

Contemplating this, Lin Xiaoyan glanced around at the empty seats, wondering how long she’d be able to keep this job.

Ai Lin looked at the young Lin Xiaoyan, recalling her past self, as naive and pure.

"Don’t worry, once the company settles, I’m sure more positions will open. I’ll let you know when you can co for an interview," Ai Lin walked over to Lin Xiaoyan, reassuringly patting her shoulder.

"!!!" Lin Xiaoyan’s body instantly froze, pupils dilated, she "saw" the scene again...

She "saw" that at night, Ai Lin was ho alone when the doorbell rang, and Ai Lin went to answer it; it was a delivery person.

Then, after handing over the delivery, the delivery person did not leave but barged into Ai Lin’s ho, the door closed, and then...
