"?!" Lin Xiaoyan was stunned, staring in shock at the policeman in front of her.
"Wha... what do you an?"
Lin Xiaoyan asked, then looked at him and asked, "Do you believe what I just said?"
He Qi’an’s eyes sparkled with amusent as he looked at Lin Xiaoyan, who was incredulous and nervous, and said, "Eighty percent, yes."
"The remaining twenty percent needs your cooperation."
"?" Lin Xiaoyan had many questions in her heart, unsure what the policeman ant.

Upon hearing about the check-up, Lin Xiaoyan’s heart leapt, looking at He Qi’an in terror.
"Are... are you going to slice up for research?"
He Qi’an looked at Lin Xiaoyan, seeing her full of terror, and burst out laughing.

"I’ll be there in half an hour; make the arrangents."
"Alright, hanging up!"
He Qi’an hung up the phone and quickly typed on his phone.
Lin Xiaoyan watched all this, looking around and noticing no one else was around.
"Here it is; the al is here, hurry and eat while it’s hot."
Li He ca in carrying the al and placed it in front of Lin Xiaoyan, "Eat, though the canteen’s food is... um... not great, for your first ti you might find it tasty."
Having eaten the canteen’s food for many years, Li He had had enough and sotis needed a cup of instant noodles to adjust his appetite.
"Eat up, and we’ll leave when you’re done," He Qi’an glanced at the al and said.
Lin Xiaoyan frowned slightly and asked, "How long will it take? I have to work this afternoon..."
"It might take the whole afternoon; you definitely won’t make it to work."
Hearing this, Lin Xiaoyan was a bit troubled. She was afraid that taking frequent leave would give her company a bad impression and they might not let her work part-ti anymore.
He Qi’an noticed Lin Xiaoyan’s dilemma and said, "Don’t worry, I’ll call your boss and make sure they don’t dock your pay!"
"What?" Lin Xiaoyan looked at He Qi’an in surprise, her boss? She had never even seen her boss or knew who they were!

Lin Xiaoyan lowered her head, looked at the three at and three vegetable dishes, and was suddenly ravenous.
He Qi’an then stood up, went outside, and Li He, holding a cup of instant noodles, followed him out.

Jing Yi was just about to go to a eting when he saw a call from He Qi’an, and he was montarily confused as to why this person was suddenly calling him.
"Yo, busy man, finally thought of , huh," Jing Yi sarcastically remarked as he answered the phone.
He Qi’an listened to the sly voice on the other end, expressionless, "Where are you now? At the company?"
"Which company are you referring to? Why, are you coming to find ?" Jing Yi laughed while waving the others to head to the eting room first.
"The one you just acquired, Jingrui Company. I need to borrow soone from you, a part-tir of yours nad Lin Xiaoyan. Give her a half-day off.
And yes, paid leave."
"Lin Xiaoyan?" Jing Yi paused, "Who?"
He Qi’an pinched the bridge of his nose and said patiently, "You don’t need to know who she is. I’m just telling you to pass it down, she’s on paid leave this afternoon."
"Oh, and she might take more leaves in the future. Let HR note down that any leave she takes is paid, and her salary should be paid as normal.
She needs to assist our police bureau with a case."

"Why should I pay her to assist your police bureau with a case? Why doesn’t your police bureau pay her!" Jing Yi was amusedly exasperated by He Qi’an’s domineering words.
He Qi’an was unabashed, "I’ve told you, just pass it down. I’ll treat you to a al at the Four Directions Restaurant another ti."
Jing Yi perked up at the ntion of a al at the Four Directions Restaurant and laughed, "Alright, I’ll wait for you to treat to a al."
"That’s it, we’ll be in touch," He Qi’an hung up the phone, lit a cigarette, took a couple of puffs, and then extinguished it.
He walked to the office door, looking at Lin Xiaoyan’s back with eyes dark and unreadable, lost in thought.
Lin Xiaoyan quickly finished her al and just as she finished, she received a ssage from her departnt manager saying her afternoon leave had been approved and it was paid, assuring her not to worry.
"???" Lin Xiaoyan stared at the content above, paid leave!!!
He Qi’an saw that Lin Xiaoyan had finished eating and ca back in, "Finished? Then let’s go."
He bent down to pick up Lin Xiaoyan’s empty plate and took it outside.
Lin Xiaoyan quickly got up, followed behind He Qi’an, her mind repeatedly flashing with the word "paid."
"Chief, I’ll take care of the empty plate!" Li He was smoking in the hallway, saw the chief with the empty plate, imdiately tossed his cigarette butt into the trash can, and stepped forward to take the plate.
