The exit of the passage is at a mountainside, blocked by a giant stone, but there’s a chanism at the entrance. Press it, and the stone moves away from the door.

Once we got out, the stone returned to its original position. Such stones can be seen everywhere in the Tibetan Area and wouldn’t attract anyone’s attention or interest.

The lake we entered for the tomb was originally surrounded by mountains, the mountain formations like a funnel. At this mont, lights were bright by the lake, clearly, many people had arrived.

Chen Qinghan briskly walked down the slope carrying Zhe Shou on his back. One of Lord Qi’s n had already woken up inside the passage. He was terrified of and pushed along by towards the foot of the mountain without daring to make a sound.

I was a bit worried that he might spill the beans about my invincibility to so people, as I didn’t want to spark certain people’s research interests.

While considering whether to hide, Chen Qinghan suddenly turned back and said, "I’ll figure out the interrogation. Just morize your identity information."

Chen Qinghan’s reassurance was a comfort for . As we approached the lakeside camp, the guards on the outer periter spotted us first. Chen Qinghan exchanged a password with them, and soone ca forward to take Zhe Shou, carrying him into a tent pitched by the lake.

Lord Qi’s n didn’t go into the sa tent with Zhe Shou. A man in his thirties exchanged a few words with Chen Qinghan. Chen Qinghan asked him to arrange a resting place for , clearly having more matters to discuss.

The man called over a young fellow to take to rest. The young fellow approached courteously and led into a small tent.

"I’m Lu Hao. If you need anything, just call . I’ll be outside," the young man said before turning and leaving.

The tent contained a simple folding chair and table, with a map and a cup placed on it, possibly the office of the operation leader. However, that person and Chen Qinghan had sothing to discuss, perhaps going to interrogate Lord Qi’s n, leaving here temporarily.

"Here, have so water." Lu Hao returned soon, bringing a teacup.

"Thank you." I accepted the teacup, smiling in thanks.

"You’re welco. Call if you need anything." Lu Hao again left the tent.

Sitting in the folding chair with the warm teacup, I mused that these people were indeed Chen Qinghan’s ’colleagues,’ but they weren’t as I’d imagined.

What can I say? They looked just like ordinary people, without any uniform attire, friendly and easy-going, unlike people involved in secretive work.

Perhaps I should watch fewer movies, as in my imagination, they should resemble n in black who deal with alien affairs.

Bored, I took out a small mirror I always carry, tidying my appearance.

This little copper mirror has quite a history. I found it on a Tomb Raider I captured—the ’Da Ding Five Sons Mirror.’ Of course, it’s a replica, only palm-sized, delicate and easy to carry.

It’s said it can act as a Demon Mirror, though I’ve never reverted to my true form under its reflection.

"Oh no... my makeup’s smudged." I stared at my colorful face in the mirror, took so tissues from the table, and wiped all the makeup off.

"Hmm?" Astonished, I noticed my complexion looked even more vibrant than before.

Could it be that a tomb has rejuvenated ?

It shouldn’t be. I’ve lingered in my tomb for thousands of years and haven’t seen such a big change.

Suddenly, I rembered sothing. Regarding my rapid change, Chen Qinghan had once muttered ’the number’s enough.’ He must know sothing.

"Qinghan—Qinghan—" A clear young girl’s voice bent through the tent entrance.

The door flap was lifted, and seeing the tent’s occupant, a girl in a red coat showed a slightly awkward expression.

"Sorry to interrupt." She apologized with a smile, set the door flap down, and turned away.

I clicked my tongue, shaking my head. That Professor Chen, such a sleazebag—being popular with won is one thing, but even young girls aren’t spared.

Her voice was as lodious as a lark, and her appearance equally delightful and lovely. However, her age didn’t seem like she’d be Chen Qinghan’s colleague.

Looking for Chen Qinghan around the camp, she called out a few tis and was stopped by soone, led to this tent entrance. Judging by the voice, it was Lu Hao who stopped her.

Lu Hao said that Professor Chen and the captain were in the interrogation room, and asked her to stay with for the ti being.

The girl was clearly disappointed but obediently ca into the tent. I put away the mirror and faced her.

"You’re Qinghan’s assistant?" Her attention quickly shifted to , water-clear eyes blinking as she looked at .

Staring at soone like that is rather rude, yet her gaze exuded an innocent charm, making it hard to dislike her.

Like a one-year-old child seriously watching you, would you bla her?

"Ah, yes." Less talk ans fewer mistakes. I silently reviewed my new identity information, deciding to stick to what’s written, avoiding any off-topic questions.

"You’ve entered the Heavenly Maiden Tomb?" Her eyes lit up as she moved a chair to sit close by.

"Yes."

"I heard there are nurous traps inside, extrely dangerous, and all sorts of creatures. By the way, do you know why the Heavenly Maiden’s body can’t leave the ground?"

"Why?"

"Because once the coffin’s opened, the body decomposes and disappears. It’s so eerie." The girl’s expression was like a child who just learned sothing new, eager to boast.

"Oh." I didn’t know where she got such a fallacy. My coffin has been opened and closed countless tis; I still exist strongly, not decomposed, getting even more vibrant.

Her words did inspire , though. The giant egg Chen Qinghan ntioned and the big pearl in Coffin 003 both decomposed and vanished after opening.

Could it be my coffin differs from theirs?

From the Tomb Robber’s mouth, I heard of a ’corpse-maintaining coffin’—a thing that supposedly brings dead bodies back to life, true or not. Yet maybe, besides , other Heavenly Maidens’ coffins are just giant slow-cookers, given enough ti, even bones stew away.

Of course, such thoughts are nothing but conjecture without evidence since my understanding of other Heavenly Maiden Tombs is even less than Chen Qinghan’s.

"Ah~ I’d love to work with Qinghan and watch him wreak havoc in the tomb!" The girl blinked starry eyes, undoubtedly a little fangirl of Chen Qinghan.

I thought of saying that her Qinghan had just been hidden in a box by , narrowly escaping, but feared hurting this girl’s heart.

Forget it, let Chen Qinghan save face and maintain his grand image in young hearts.

"Ah, look at , chatting so long, forgot to introduce myself. I’m Bao Ziqing, but everyone calls Baozi."

Bun spirit? I glanced at her round little face; she did seem like one.

"I’m Leng Fuqu."

"Sister Fuqu, how long have you been Qinghan’s assistant? Did he ever ntion ?" The girl’s face was full of expectancy.

"Not very long, not much chatting." If this continued, I felt like the conversation would die off.
