The Informal Tomb Raiding Diary: She is the occupant of the tomb! Chapter 406 - 313: Werewolf Lovers Express Their Anger
With the principle of "Scratch if you must, but not my clothes," I decided to give this werewolf an express cremation service!
With a flick of the Hook Stick, Karmic Fire erupted from my palm. The werewolf quickly dodged and leaped toward again, baring its sharp teeth. I fired three bursts of Karmic Fire, all of which it evaded.
Though it dodged the fire, it couldn’t approach . But it didn’t seem to be in a hurry, attacking from different directions. By the ti I realized its intent, I had already released over a dozen bursts of Karmic Fire.
It was testing to see if my Karmic Fire was like Mike’s bullets, whether it would run out.
Its speed reminded of the shadow Mike saw at the alley entrance earlier.
It seems this pack of wolves had been targeting us since we entered the city. The tracking wolves are small, the werewolf being larger, yet despite this, the werewolf’s speed isn’t any slower than the smaller wolves.
"Keep hopping if you want, I’m tired." I glanced around, "I’ll just head to your lair, hope the other wolves are as spirited as you."
While chasing them earlier, I guessed that the werewolf wouldn’t let the pack head straight back to its lair, so I didn’t pursue the easily tracked Two-headed Wolves. They would probably circle the city a few tis to make sure no one was following them before returning to the lair.
These wolves are different from other animals; they’re cunning and cautious.
I didn’t kill all the Two-headed Wolves we caught up to; I attached a tracking device to one of them. This gadget is our standard equipnt, especially handy. It’s only the size of a lighter, sticks wherever it’s slapped, and weighs practically nothing. As long as the Two-headed Wolf isn’t smart enough to know what it is, I can track its location.
Actually, judging by the ti, they should have circled enough and returned to the lair.
"Awooo—uhh—" The werewolf was howling to the sky when suddenly engulfed by a wall of fire.
Burn it while it’s calling!
Realizing it fell for the trap, the werewolf hurriedly backed away. When I cast the wall of fire, it really was a wall, with thickness, though not too thick, just a ter, but definitely enough to burn it.
The werewolf did its best to twist its body away from the fire wall, but retreating wasn’t its "specialty." Before the fire wall vanished, the flas licked it, instantly burning off one arm and half a leg.
The expression on the werewolf’s face was one of surprise and rage, and it seed very painful. It hadn’t seen the Karmic Fire kill a wolf before, so it probably found it incredibly unbelievable now.
This was probably the worst burn it had ever encountered, with its arm and leg entirely charred away.
The elent of surprise was indeed effective. Luckily, it was its leg that was hit; if it had been a less crucial part, it might have been able to escape.
Now missing an arm and a leg, if it wanted to run, it could only hop on one leg, but the intense pain made large movents impossible.
I approached it without asking anything and raised my palm to deliver the final blow.
But it suddenly shouted, "Wait!"
"Wait for what? Last words?" Anyway, it couldn’t run now, so I paused to see what it wanted to say.
"I... I’m human, I ca with Miss Tang," the werewolf said sowhat dejectedly.
"Oh?" I raised an eyebrow, actually I had so suspicions when it asked if I was an "Ancient City native."
But even if it used to be human, so what? It did organize the wolves to attack us.
"Take out, I’m just sick, can’t control myself, I’m... I’m infected!" The werewolf’s tone was a bit urgent, the pain of its lost limb making it extrely uncomfortable, lacking the strength to speak firmly.
When commanding the battle, it seed quite calm, not like soone whose mind was unclear.
With that thought, I nodded, "Hmm, seems there’s no saving you, may as well just cremate you now."
The werewolf let out a long howl, and suddenly a group of Two-headed Wolves appeared from around, probably over a hundred.
The werewolf rolled to the side, moaning in pain, while those Two-headed Wolves gradually surrounded .
Wheel tactics, seems like this is their common thod to deplete human stamina and strength.
The Two-headed Wolves bared their fangs, not realizing they were summoned to their deaths.
They wanted to repeat the old trick, circling around and then leaping at one by one.
So I spun around as well, creating a flaming windmill, and not only were the surrounding wolves burned, but even half of the shops at the edge of the square caught fire.
The wolves didn’t even have a chance to react before turning to ashes. In the face of absolute power, tactics have no chance for adjustnt or change.
Together with the werewolf, they all got a collective cremation. I looked at the receiver of the tracking device, and the marked wolf wasn’t among them.
