This creature’s strength is imnse, and without employing so clever tactics, it’s impossible to harm it.

But right after casting that Karmic Fire, my head started to spin in waves of dizziness. The Bull Demon King, dragging one leg, continued to pursue Qinghan. It seems determined to avenge the murder of its mother.

Sitting down next to the statue’s stone platform, I thought that this might be a sign of energy overexertion, and perhaps because the usage was low, I didn’t fall straight into slumber.

Luckily, my weakness didn’t affect Qinghan; he was still lively and energetic, skillfully evading the limping Bull Demon King as it chased him around the hall.

My gaze followed their figures and noticed that the walls around the hall were carved with epic narrative bas-reliefs.

The carvings were more three-dinsional and clearer than murals, with weapons in the characters’ hands, bodily features, and expressions all discernible.

In my era, my clan had conquered many other races, launching a war that sotis wiped out two or three Alien Clans, though their numbers weren’t many, their endurance was substantial.

To eliminate future threats, we didn’t shy away from exterminating them, so in the eyes of others, the Blood Mother Clan wasn’t seen as sothing good.

The more they cursed, the more fear they held in their hearts. We were dedicated to excavating our ancestral graves, partly to ensure our clan’s combat power never waned.

In that era where strength dictated everything, the big fish would eat the small fish, and everyone loved weapons, or else faced elimination.

This elimination referred to the entire clan disappearing from the historical stage.

If our clan hadn’t taken the path of internal division, perhaps we really could have unified the world back then~

And the content recorded in the bas-reliefs before was a history of the greedy snake’s escape.

Their ancestors lived before the glacial period. Back then, the number of their snake mouths was as nurous as stars. Due to their unique reproductive thod, like the universal blood type O, it was easier to ’match,’ so as long as the tool for the deed was sufficient... it was possible for their females to bear offspring.

However, although breeding was possible, the quality of the born offspring varied greatly.

With the advent of the glacial period, many species beca extinct, and the greedy snakes, preferring warr environnts, also saw their numbers sharply decrease.

Just as their species was on the brink of extinction, they discovered a creature, with which most of their offspring were more cold-resistant, and the ’savior’ depicted in the bas-relief was the Bull Demon King.

If the offspring of the two were male, it would look like the Bull Demon King, while females would inherit their mother’s image, growing into greedy snakes.

Yet, the population of the Bull Demon King’s race was also small, and their lifespan wasn’t as long as the greedy snakes, similar to humans, living only a few decades, whereas greedy snakes could live for hundreds of years.

Thus, inbreeding beca very common within their race, eventually becoming the norm.

However, the Bull Demon King’s race had low intelligence, causing their descendants to beco lesser with each generation.

This led to divisions within the race; so snakes proposed continuing to breed extensively, casting a wide net to catch more, while so opposed innovation, favoring the stability of the old ways.

The one lying on the ground with its intestines spilling was the latter; it could be considered an Ancient remnant, slightly more intelligent, taking its family into deep mountain caverns, but regrettably, their snake numbers still decreased, with declining birth rates.

Until the ergence of humans, which gave it hope, it discovered that humans could extend their life, capturing won to drink their blood and n for breeding, eating the father after conception to supplent the mother’s nutrition significantly.

For them, this was considered divine blessing, offering a path for survival, but for humans, it was a bloody misfortune.

They could transform into the ’beautiful won’ of any creature’s imagination, so those captured had no idea what the true identity of the beauty before them was.

However hard they tried, the general environnt remained hostile toward them. The family developed a taste for humans, but often found it challenging to maintain consistency in their als.

They even tried to hunt humans outside; initially, it worked out fine, but later, they nearly faced extinction from being repeatedly hunted by humans, forcing them back underground.

Just as they were considering listing rats back in their diet, a creature appeared.

This creature had a human shape but lacked any human semblance. Its crooked mouth and slanted eyes were unrecognizable to , but I could identify its hand, which was attached to the Big-headed Bird’s hand.

It demanded the greedy snakes submit to it, promising to let them fall into slumber and that when it returned, it would be the ti for the greedy snake clan’s revival.

The Big Gluttonous Snake did not refuse; their whole family fell into slumber, and the creature left behind a hand capable of protecting this underground space from destruction.
