The young wife doesn’t know many people, and not many people would write to her. Neither the people in town nor the village would write to her, the only ones who might would be Princess Rui and the Commandery Princess.

Princess Rui had only written to her recently, so it was unlikely that she would write again so soon; that left only Princess Baolu.

Gu Ya thought the letter to the young wife was from the Commandery Princess of the Rong Residence and was surprised when the young wife said to him, "Husband, this letter is from Prince Chu!"

"Prince Chu?" Gu Ya’s face imdiately grew cold at the ntion.

Su Yunjin nodded, "The maid said the person who delivered the letter left right after. I only found out it was from Prince Chu after reading it."

Gu Ya didn’t ask the young wife further but opened the letter from the envelope and began reading. Su Yunjin spoke from the side, "Husband, it turns out Prince Chu already knows about your and Prince Ning’s plan. He said going to Xiangcheng was his own decision, not the Emperor’s coercion."

"Yunjin, if Prince Chu really left on his own accord, why did he still arrange for people to ambush ?" Gu Ya had been ambushed by a group of skilled attackers, each strike aid to be deadly.

Su Yunjin thought about when Gu Ya ca back injured, also finding it strange. If Prince Chu had really let go, why would he arrange for assassins to murder Gu Ya after leaving voluntarily?

"Yunjin, Prince Chu is still trying to curry favor with you, how thick-skinned he is!" Gu Ya snorted coldly, full of disdain. Especially when he saw the part Prince Chu wrote at the end of the letter, he beca even more irritated. He, Gu Ya, would protect his own woman and didn’t need Prince Chu ddling.

Su Yunjin said nothing. When she first saw the letter, she truly thought that Prince Chu had let go and no longer had inappropriate thoughts about her. But upon hearing Gu Ya’s words, Su Yunjin also thought the matter might not be that simple.

If Prince Chu were really as he said in the letter, then he wouldn’t have planned to go to Xiangcheng and still sent assassins after Gu Ya. If not for Prince Ning’s arrangent of skilled protectors, would Gu Ya have fallen victim to Prince Chu’s sches by now?

The more Su Yunjin thought about it, the more she was filled with dread. Prince Chu’s intentions were terrifying; if not for Gu Ya seeing through it more clearly than she did, she might have truly believed Prince Chu. It was now evident that the letter had an ulterior motive, and even at this point, Prince Chu was despicably arranging assassins to kill Gu Ya while also trying to win her over? To make her feel gratitude and guilt towards him?

Prince Chu’s tactics sent chills down Su Yunjin’s spine!

Gu Ya casually tossed away Prince Chu’s letter, letting out a snort, "Yunjin, the plan between Prince Ning and was flawlessly executed, with the help of Prince Rui. Even if Prince Chu didn’t want to go to Xiangcheng, he had no choice!"

Prince Chu’s words in the letter were indeed arrogant, as if really thinking if he was unwilling, no one could make him go to Xiangcheng!

Su Yunjin didn’t want to talk about affairs related to Prince Chu anymore. No matter if it was the Emperor’s will or Prince Chu’s own decision, the fact remained that Prince Chu went to Xiangcheng. With him so far away in Xiangcheng, both she and Gu Ya didn’t have to worry about Prince Chu doing anything detrintal to them.
