Capítulo 2071: Chapter 2071: Who Sent You the Letter?
Su Yunjin had done business with the King of Chu before, and she knew that not only was the King of Chu skilled, but he was also wise and resourceful. For soone as astute as the King of Chu, it seed only natural that he would see through the sches of Gu Ya and Prince Ning upon careful consideration.
After the initial surprise, the letter concluded with a passage, “Yun, I’m not leaving because I lost to him, but because I lost to you. If your heart has room for , I would move mountains to take you away. Although I’m far away in Xiangcheng, should you ever need anything, I would exert all the power of Wang Residence to ensure your safety and well-being! Take care!”
After finishing the letter, Su Yunjin was not only surprised but also found herself at a loss for words. Aunt Bao noticed Su Yunjin’s strange expression and asked in surprise, “Madam, what’s wrong?”
“It’s nothing, Auntie. Could you watch Little Tiangua for ? I’m going to the study to find my husband.” Su Yunjin handed the red yam teething stick gnawing Tiangua to Aunt Bao, picked up the letter, and headed to the study.
Su Yunjin didn’t intend to hide the fact that the King of Chu had sent a letter from Gu Ya.
Since Gu Ya wasn’t at the restaurant today, she had the perfect chance to show the letter to him. On her way, Su Yunjin recalled eting the young lord of Chu; initially, Su Yunjin honestly considered him a friend. If the young lord of Chu hadn’t fallen for her and hadn’t done the things in between, perhaps Su Yunjin would still regard him as a friend. But so things, once they’ve happened, make it impossible for Su Yunjin to pretend nothing had occurred.
She was married, with a husband and child, and her relationship with Gu Ya was genuinely good. Su Yunjin truly liked Gu Ya and was willing to be his wife.
Towards the young lord of Chu, Su Yunjin never felt any romantic interest. At first, they rely cooperated in business, but later, after he saved her multiple tis, Su Yunjin felt grateful and regarded him as a friend and brother.
She never imagined the young lord of Chu would have feelings for her.
Knowing his feelings for her left Su Yunjin feeling more incredulous than surprised.
No matter the emotion, Su Yunjin could no longer consider the young lord of Chu a friend. Knowing his feelings, if she continued to treat him as a friend, it would be unfair and disrespectful to Gu Ya.
As Gu Ya’s wife, she needed to consider his feelings. Regarding the young lord of Chu, Su Yunjin glanced at the letter in her hand and sighed with a hint of helplessness. Now that the young lord of Chu had gone to Xiangcheng, Su Yunjin hoped he would et a woman he truly cares for and forget about her entirely.
Gu Ya was in the study reviewing account books. The manager had delivered all the accounts of Zuixiang Restaurant from the previous month directly to the residence.
Upon hearing footsteps, Gu Ya thought the servants were bringing tea and didn’t lift his head. As the scent from his little wife approached, Gu Ya realized she had arrived and imdiately set down the account books, raising his head.
“Yun, you’re here?” Gu Ya smiled, waiting for his little wife to co closer.
Su Yunjin walked up to Gu Ya. Seeing she seed to have sothing to say, Gu Ya asked casually, “Yun, is there sothing you want to tell ?”
Su Yunjin had co to inform Gu Ya about the letter from the King of Chu, but before she could answer, Gu Ya noticed the letter in her hand.
“Yun, where did that letter co from? Who sent you a letter?”
