Chapter 1888: Chapter 1888: Be Good, Listen

Gu Ya was burning all over, and after Su Yunjin was held in his arms, she felt even more the intense heat from the man behind her. Su Yunjin knew so dical skills; given how hot Gu Ya was now, she had to quickly get so dicine for him. She tried to push Gu Ya away with her hands, but he only held her tighter.

Su Yunjin couldn’t move at all.

Gu Ya’s voice carried a hint of fatigue, and he coaxingly said to her as if she were a child, “Yun Niang, be good, don’t fuss.” It was as if Su Yunjin was really just being playful and mischievous with him.

Su Yunjin was sowhat speechless.

She remained silent.

The man behind her excessively buried his head against the back of her neck, his hot breaths exhaling against her in waves, making Su Yunjin’s neck feel a bit itchy.

She uncomfortably squird.

Gu Ya seed a bit displeased and tightly clasped her hands to prevent her from moving around. Su Yunjin initially wanted Gu Ya to let her go, so she could get him so dicine, but when her eyes t Gu Ya’s bloodshot ones, she stopped her struggling.

Gu Ya looked truly exhausted at that mont.

Fine.

Let him hold her and rest for a while.

······

It was with difficulty that she coaxed Gu Ya to go to bed and sleep, and Su Yunjin finally breathed a sigh of relief. She never knew Gu Ya could be so obstinate, insisting on holding her to sleep and refusing to let go.

Su Yunjin covered him with a blanket and bent down to touch his forehead.

“So hot.” Su Yunjin withdrew her hand and called Aunt Bao to help her look after Gu Ya, then summoned Xue Chu over.

Earlier in the room, Su Yunjin had felt Gu Ya’s pulse and checked him, knowing what herbal dicine he needed. She gave the written prescription to Xue Chu, asking him to go to town and get the dicine for Gu Ya.

Returning to the room, Su Yunjin brought a basin of hot water to apply to Gu Ya’s forehead. She repeatedly placed the wrung-out hot towel on his forehead, and after several tis, when she checked again, Gu Ya’s forehead was still very hot. Aunt Bao watched anxiously from the side, “Ma’am, didn’t Brother Xue go to get the dicine? Why isn’t he back yet?”

Su Yunjin kneaded the towel in the basin, looked up at Aunt Bao, and chuckled, “Auntie, how could it be so fast? Brother Xue hasn’t been gone long.”

Aunt Bao thought it made sense.

She laughed awkwardly.

Gu Ya ca back from the Prince Ning Residence and slept until nightfall. In his hazy monts, he could feel his little wife applying sothing to him and could clearly hear the conversations between her and Aunt Bao. Later on, it seed like his little wife even wiped him down with a towel.

Oh, right, at so point, Gu Ya rembered his little wife bringing a bowl of extrely bitter herbal dicine to feed him. Even now, he could still taste the bitterness in his mouth.

Su Yunjin had spent the entire afternoon at ho taking care of Gu Ya. She finally managed to bring his fever down. Aunt Bao brought over the freshly brewed herbal decoction from the kitchen.

“Ma’am, the young master’s dicine is ready,” Aunt Bao said, coming up to Su Yunjin and glancing over at Gu Ya. The lady had been caring for the young master for half a day. Was the young master feeling any better?

Su Yunjin took the dicine from Aunt Bao’s hands and asked her, “Auntie, since my husband is ill, he should have so bland food. Could you check if the porridge I asked Aunt An to cook is ready?”
