Chapter 1630: Chapter 1630: Avoiding the Lilight

Gu Ya and the n sent by King Chu found Gu Family Village. Su Yunjin suggested that Leng Jingxian might be hiding in the village, and Gu Ya found his young wife’s reasoning sound. As a result, he focused on arranging people to search the village. King Chu’s n had searched the town repeatedly for several days without success, and only then did they realize that Leng Jingxian might be hiding in the village.

Initially, Leng Jingxian was quite safe hiding in Gu Family Village. Moreover, she and her two servants had changed their appearances. All three dressed in tattered clothing, looking so disheveled that even they barely recognized themselves. However, since King Chu and Gu Ya began stationing most of their n in the village for the search, Leng Jingxian’s hiding spot was no longer secure.

Left with no choice, Leng Jingxian took Hongzhu and Luchou to a neighboring village to lay low. Although reluctant to leave Gu Family Village, she feared being found by Gu Ya and King Chu’s n, so she was forced to temporarily flee. While Leng Jingxian remained elusive, Su Yunjin stayed ho to care for her two children.

Su Yunjin couldn’t go out. To keep her younger sister from getting bored, Su Ningxiu would often visit Gu Family Village to accompany her. Other than her second sister, their fifth sister-in-law, Mrs. Chu, also occasionally brought Aluo to visit Su Yunjin. It hadn’t been half a month since their last visit, yet little Aluo had grown noticeably taller. Her chin looked sharper, and her hair was styled in twin buns adorned with red beads, which complented her lively, delicate face, making one instinctively want to pinch her cheeks.

Su Yunjin handed Aluo a handful of candies that children love. The little girl obediently ate one and declared that she wanted to share them with her younger siblings. However, Little Yuanbao and Little Tiangua were not even two months old yet—how could they eat candy? Before Su Yunjin could stop her, Mrs. Chu chuckled and interjected, “Your little siblings are still too young to eat candy.”

“Mom, my little siblings are so adorable.” Aluo clutched her candies tightly. Since Mrs. Chu had said Little Yuanbao and Little Tiangua couldn’t eat candy, Aluo no longer insisted on sharing it with them. Instead, she just lowered her head and stared at them with wide eyes.

Little Yuanbao and Little Tiangua had just been fed. The wet nurse had already nursed them—Little Yuanbao wasn’t greedy and would stop eating once full, while Little Tiangua had a voracious appetite and wouldn’t stop even after being full.

At this mont, Little Tiangua was blowing milk bubbles nonstop. Aluo found the sight amusing and stared at Little Tiangua with a smile before asking why her baby sister was spitting out milk.

“You were just like your sister when you were little, but you grew up and stopped,” Mrs. Chu explained with a smile as she looked at her daughter. Aluo gazed thoughtfully at Little Tiangua, seemingly processing the information. The adults, seeing her deep in thought, left her be and turned their conversation to other topics, chuckling as they talked. After a mont of serious contemplation, Aluo suddenly declared with conviction, “Mom, I am not like my sister at all.”

The adults were stunned for a split second, then burst into laughter at Aluo’s earnest expression. Mrs. Chu had to tend to matters at the Bun Shop, so she couldn’t visit Su Yunjin often. On the other hand, Su Ningxiu, having little to occupy her, would drop by Su Yunjin’s house every three or four days. The Bun Shop was managed by Wang ng, which ant Su Ningxiu didn’t have to concern herself with much. With Wang ng handling everything, he was more than competent enough to take care of the shop’s affairs.

In the past, Su Ningxiu used to accompany Wang ng to the shop simply because there was nothing better to do at ho—it was more interesting than staying idle. Now, with Su Yunjin’s companionship and the two children providing plenty of amusent, Su Ningxiu had stopped going to the town altogether.

Su Yunjin noticed that Su Ningxiu seed to love children, so she would often tease her, urging her to have a baby of her own with her husband sooner rather than later. Every ti, Su Ningxiu would get flustered and blush at Su Yunjin’s playful remarks. Originally, Su Ningxiu wasn’t in a rush to have children. But seeing how adorable Little Yuanbao and Little Tiangua grew with each passing day, she couldn’t help but feel tempted.

Having a child didn’t seem like such a bad idea.
