Su Yunjin had been waiting for Gu Ya to take her to the Lantern Festival! After waiting for so long, how could she not go? Knowing his little wife wanted to go, Gu Ya smiled and said, “The carriage is waiting outside.”

Gu Ya tapped lightly on his wife’s head and spoke in a doting tone, “Yunjin, do you really want to know?” Faced with his playful and headstrong wife, Gu Ya was a little helpless.
“Husband, if you don’t tell , it must have sothing to do with ,” Su Yunjin said with certainty. She knew that Leng Jingxian’s kidnapping of her was sothing Gu Ya wanted to handle on his own and didn’t want her worrying about it. Gu Ya’s actions reflected his care for her, and though Su Yunjin appreciated it, she couldn’t ignore the fact that the incident involved her.
Su Yunjin didn’t want to be left in the dark and certainly didn’t want to leave everything entirely to Gu Ya. As they spoke, the couple had already reached the carriage.
Gu Ya helped his wife into the carriage first before stepping in himself. The space inside the carriage was well-sealed and even equipped with a hand warr. Su Yunjin, who had felt a slight chill after stepping outside, imdiately felt warm again once inside. Gu Ya removed the cloak from her shoulders and set it aside.
Su Yunjin was unexpectedly delighted to find a rabbit-shaped lantern inside the carriage. She picked it up with a joyful expression and asked, “Husband, where did this lantern co from?”
As Su Yunjin admired the lantern in her hands, she found herself liking it more and more. The craftsmanship of the rabbit was so lifelike that it resembled the real thing. The pair of rabbit ears seed particularly vivid—if seen from afar, one might even mistake it for a real rabbit!
Su Yunjin assud Gu Ya had bought it, but to her surprise, Gu Ya chuckled and said, “Yunjin, this lantern was a gift from a staff mber at Zuixiang Restaurant. If you like it, you can keep it.”
“I like it. I really do.” Su Yunjin was absolutely smitten with the lantern. She thought about how she’d seen lanterns everywhere in town earlier that day. Now that night had fallen, wouldn’t the streets be filled with lanterns when she and Gu Ya went out later? Just imagining the scene made Su Yunjin all the more excited.
Seeing his little wife brimming with anticipation, Gu Ya smiled and said, “Yunjin, do you really want to see the lanterns in town that much?” Personally, Gu Ya didn’t have much interest in the Lantern Festival.
If it weren’t for his wife wanting to go, he probably wouldn’t have gone at all.
“Husband, don’t you like going to the Lantern Festival in town?” From the start, Gu Ya had shown little enthusiasm for the festival, not seeming particularly inclined to go.
Su Yunjin stared at Gu Ya, still clutching the rabbit lantern in her hand. While Gu Ya might not be very interested in the lanterns, he wasn’t against seeing them either.

She nestled her whole body against him.

“Husband, I like seeing the Lantern Festival, but what I like more is seeing it with you.” If Gu Ya weren’t there to accompany her, Su Yunjin wouldn’t find much joy in going alone. Because Gu Ya was by her side, being with the one she loved made everything delightful.
