Chapter 1411: Chapter 1411: In the Courtroom

Su Yunjin did not spare Wan Ruyan another glance.

Gu Ya shielded his young wife behind him; seeing Gu Ya protect Su Yunjin like this, Wan Ruyan’s resentful gaze darkened a few shades more. Clearly, Gu Ya should have been her, Wan Ruyan’s, man. If it weren’t for that little bitch Su Yunjin, she would now be Gu Ya’s wife. Gu Ya’s gaze would be revolving around her, Wan Ruyan, alone.

All of it was because of Su Yunjin.

Su Yunjin destroyed her happiness.

Without Su Yunjin, she would now be with Gu Ya, not only would Zuixiang Restaurant be hers, but Gu Ya himself would belong to her, Wan Ruyan. Wan Ruyan was so angered it felt like a fire raging in her heart.

Her nails dug into her flesh.

“Court is now in session!” The gavel banged.

The County Magistrate first looked toward Wan Ruyan, “The court asks you now, do you confess to the cri of drugging? Speak truthfully.” The Magistrate’s voice wasn’t loud, but it carried an innate authority.

Of course, Wan Ruyan would not confess easily.

“County Magistrate, I am wronged. Although I have had disagreents with the Su couple, I truly have not committed the heinous act of poisoning anyone. County Magistrate, you have the discerning eye, I implore you to restore my innocence.”

Wan Ruyan held onto a slim hope that she could escape the punishnt this ti.

The matter of the drugging was done cleanly, no one had seen it, as long as she did not admit to it, would the County Magistrate possibly force a confession? Wan Ruyan did not confess.

The County Magistrate’s face was expressionless.

“The court shall ascertain the truth,” he then ordered the witness to be brought forward.

The witness was the Pharmacy Shopkeeper from where Wan Ruyan had bought the Abortion Drug. Wan Ruyan, who had held onto the hope of luck, felt her body go limp upon seeing the Pharmacy Shopkeeper.

A chill ran down her back.

It was not yet the critical mont, so Wan Ruyan forced herself to stabilize her emotions. The County Magistrate looked over indifferently, “Miss Wan, do you recognize this person here in the court?”

“I—I—!” Wan Ruyan was tongue-tied.

Su Yunjin, seeing Wan Ruyan’s guilty deanor, knew that she recognized the man. Otherwise, Wan Ruyan would not be so flustered. As expected.

Wan Ruyan hadn’t spoken, but the man below testified first, “My lord, I am the Pharmacy Shopkeeper of Baoji Hall. This Miss Wan here had filled a prescription for an Abortion Drug in my pharmacy not long ago.”

Wan Ruyan’s face turned even paler.

The County Magistrate’s gaze grew stern, “Miss Wan, is what the Shopkeeper from Baoji Hall said true? Did you obtain the drug from him?” With years of case adjudication, the County Magistrate’s gaze was inherently authoritative.

Wan Ruyan trembled with fear.

“My lord, I indeed bought an Abortion Drug at Baoji Hall. But, I bought the Abortion Drug for myself to take, it has nothing to do with harming others.”

Out of fear.

Wan Ruyan spoke with a shiver in her voice.

Su Yunjin let out a cold laugh, “Miss Wan, isn’t your child in your womb still well and healthy? You should tell a more believable lie. This is a public court; do you still want to dispute the facts in front of the County Magistrate?”

At this mont, Wan Ruyan’s hatred for Su Yunjin was so intense that she wanted to flay Su Yunjin’s skin and drink her blood. Upon hearing Su Yunjin speak.

Wan Ruyan glared at her with spiteful eyes.

“Su whatever-your-na-is, even if you don’t like , you don’t have to fra like this, right? You are vicious and loathed, getting poisoned has nothing to do with . Trying to throw dirt on ? Pah, you won’t find it easy to slander .”

Outside the courtroom, there were quite a few onlookers gathered to watch the County Magistrate’s trial.

People whispered to each other outside while Su Yunjin let out another cold laugh, “Frad? Miss Wan, whether I am framing you or not, you know it in your heart.”
