Chapter 539 - A Chance Encounter
In the sweetest month of the year for so people, ixu had a chance encounter with Shi Qiao who in a part of her heart, has been regretting dumping him.
ixu attended Actress Yangi's birthday party in the middle of May along with other high-profile celebrities and big businessn.
It turned out that Shi Qiao was a relative of Yangi which was a shock to ixu who wouldn't stop gazing at him after Yangi officially introduced him to so of her friends in the industry after he ca up to greet her.
After leaving the circle, ixu went to have a drink sowhere by herself when Shi Qiao walked up to her.
"You looked shocked to see here tonight." Shi Qiao said with a slight smile as he ca to stand beside her with his hands in his front trouser pockets.
ixu heard the familiar voice and turned to glance at him.
"It's nice to see you again." ixu said with an ugly smile. She couldn't believe that Shi Qiao would be present at today's party and that he would sohow be related to Yangi.
Shi Qiao sat on the stool next to her and said, "Are you sure it's nice to see again because your countenance says otherwise."
"My countenance it's not for you to mind. I am already shocked learning that you are related to Sister Yangi." ixu said to him.
"And does that bother you?" Shi Qiao quickly asked as he continued to gaze at her.
ixu scoffed and picked up her wine glass. "Why would it bother , it's not like there is any relationship between us." After saying that, she drank the whole content of her wine glass before placing an order for another one.
"ixu, I still don't understand the reason you dumped . I an, I was your friend but you decided to end our friendship after I had already apologized for Zhi Ruo's ill-treatnt against you."
"Are you dumb or sothing? Don't tell you had no idea I got close to you to deal with Zhi Ruo?" ixu asked with a frown.
Shi Qiao was quiet but he didn't seem to be surprised by her confession. After studying his unchanging gaze, ixu's frown deepened. "You already knew?"
"Is that a surprise to you? Look ixu, I'm not dumb as you thought. I knew you had discords with Shi Qiao and I guessed that you might want to get close to in order to get back at my ex. To my surprise, you approached in a different way. I thought you would try to seduce so I will dump Zhi Ruo and date you but you approached as a friend." Shi Qiao said with a smile.
ixu was really surprised by this revelation. She had no idea that he had always known her plans for getting close to him but he chose to remain quiet. His past actions made her look like a fool because he already knew her plans but acted as if he was ignorant of them all. This got ixu really angry.
With an angry gaze directed at him, ixu asked, "Are you saying that you knew my plans all along and kept quiet about it? What did you take for?"
"Hey... Don't tell you're angry. When I found out about your intentions, I wasn't angry, I only found it interesting but now, after revealing the truth to you, you are angry? Did you forget I was a human being when you wanted to use to achieve your goals?" Shi Qiao asked with a frown.
"Still, that doesn't give you the right to make fun of . You already knew about my intentions when I approached you but you chose not to speak up or expose and that shows that it was well situated by you." ixu said in a raised tone.
Shi Qiao nodded and said, "I know that your pride would be hurt when you learn of this because after all, you had a well thought out plan there. Actually, I don't hold any grudges against you because I genuinely welcod your plans and I liked you. I thought you liked as well but to my surprise, you ended our friendship after your plans worked out. Don't you think that you are in the wrong for using people and dumping them after achieving your goals?"
"Who are you to teach what is wrong and right?" ixu asked with an ugly facial expression. ixu was still angry after finding out that her plans were found out the mont her ga started. She thought she was taken as a fool by Shi Qiao because he watched her play by herself even after knowing her intentions.
This situation didn't sit well with her. She didn't even care about the feelings she was starting to develop for him after learning about this. At this mont with the way she was feeling, she didn't want to ever set her eyes on him again.
"I guess your pride must be really hurt. I just wanted to tell you the truth because I don't want to keep secrets from you since I already have in mind of having a fresh start with you." Shi Qiao said.
ixu's facial expression turned more ugly when she heard him say he wanted them to have a fresh start. "Who do you want to have a fresh start with?" She asked with a glare.
"With you of course. I never saw you as a friend the monts we spent together but I respected your decision. It's been a long ti since we ended our past relationship, so why don't we start afresh with another relationship? This ti around, not as friends but as lovers?" Shi Qiao asked with a serious gaze.
His intentions were pure and clear. He liked ixu and would like to be together with her but it looks like his intentions didn't sit well with her.
ixu at the mont, looked as if she would murder him anyti soon.
"Mr. Shi, I think we should stay away from each other from now henceforth. If we are going through the sa route, there would be no need for pleasantries.." Fu ixu said and walked away from his sight.
