Chapter 508 - The Huang Family Visits The Fu Family
Right before Jia Li returned, Fu Hua called Butler Lu through the intercom.
"Is my grandfather still awake?"
"Old Master just finished a conference eting now, would you like to have a word with him?" Butler Lu probed.
"Yes, I will be there in 2 minutes." Fu Hua replied before ending the call. He got off the bed and picked up the gold pendant before walking towards the door in a hurry, only to see Jia Li stepping into the bedroom.
Jia Li looked surprised to see him at the door, so she asked, "Where are you going to?"
Fu Hua faked a smile and quickly hid the gold pendant behind him. "I will be back in a minute, I have to confirm a eting guest list with grandfather."
Since the matted sounded important and was related to the old man, Jia Li moved out of the way so he could pass, while saying to him, "Don't forget to co back quickly, I got your drink for you."
Fu Hua kissed her on the cheek and said, "I will be back soon." and then he walked past her, leaving her all alone in the bedroom.
When Grandfather Fu learned from his Butler that his grandson wanted to see him so late at night, he sat on the sofa to wait for him.
When Fu Hua arrived at the study, he imdiately went to sit beside the old man.
"I heard you wanted to see ." Grandfather Fu said with his gaze on him.
Fu Hua raised the gold pendant before him and said, "Grandfather, I have found Jia Li's relationship with the Huang family."
"The Huang family is her maternal family?" Grandfather Fu asked with a frown.
"Yes, grandfather. Jia Li's mother is the second daughter of the Huang family, Huang Li." Fu Hua said and proceed to open the pendant and show him the pictures there, including the na that was engraved on the pendant.
"Where did you get this from?" Grandfather Fu asked after studying the pendant.
"Jia Li. It belonged to her mother, Huang Li. Since her mother died, she has been keeping this safe and didn't know how to open it and she probably thought it was a fancy, so she didn't bother to put interest in it." Fu Hua replied.
Grandfather Fu sighed before looking at Fu Hua to ask, "Does Jia Li know that her mother is from the Huang family?"
Fu Hua shook his head and replied, "She doesn't know her mother's maiden na and she is unaware of the kind of family her mother is from."
"Your wedding is in a month, a week and a few days from today, you should be careful of what you say to Li girl. The Huang family is complicated, especially the head of the Huang family and letting Li girl know about this before your wedding night destabilizes her." Grandfather Fu said.
The old man was worried about Jia Li's emotions because he doubted that she could handle the Huang family, the past and its complications.
"But Jia Li begged to find her mother's family soon, she really wants to know who they are and the reason her mother left the family." Fu Hua said with creased brows.
"We do not know the full story, wait till the Huang family co to visit and then we can find out the whole story before we can decide on when to tell Li girl about it." Grandfather Fu advised.
Fu Hua nodded in understanding before going on to reveal all the information he had about the Huang family, including the reason Huang Li left her family.
When Fu Hua returned to his bedroom, Jia Li was already fast asleep and his glass of fruit juice was left on the table and covered with sothing. All Fu Hua did, was to tuck her in before going to keep her pendant in the walk-in closet.
Fu Hua stayed up for an hour more studying the Huang family and their businesses, before joining Jia Li on the bed.
On Saturday, a few minutes to brunch hours, the Huang family arrived. Fu Hee was aware that the old man was expecting so important visitors as Butler Lu told her beforehand, so she had the kitchen prepare proper refreshnts for them.
Jia Li was not around on this day. The previous night, Fu Hua had given her so money to take their little girl to the amusent park and to buy whatever they wanted.
Because of how rowdy the amusent park might be, Fu ixu who didn't have any job on Saturday optioned to go with them, along with 2 bodyguards and a servant.
When Old Mrs. Huang arrived with her four children, Butler Lu, along with a few servants, ushered them to the small room which was open to the small flower garden.
It was indeed a beautiful place to hold deep conversations.
After Fu Hee and Fu ChunHua supervised the servants to serve them the already prepared dishes, Grandfather Fu arrived with his grandson, Fu Hua.
Old Mrs. Huang and her children stood up to greet the old man. They were happy that he granted an audience with them.
"General, thank you for granting my request on such short notice." Old Mrs. Huang said with a polite smile.
"There is no need to thank , I'm doing this because you ntioned my precious granddaughter-in-law." Grandfather Fu replied before introducing Fu Hua to them as Jia Li's husband.
The interest of the old man and his grandson encouraged the old lady to speak out.
"I don't know if you are aware that I had 5 children but today, I ca with 4. The person missing is my second daughter, Huang Li. She left ho, actually, she eloped with a man we had no information about at that ti.. She refused the marriage her father arranged for her and ran away with the person she loved and since that ti, we have never set our eyes on her and my husband was furious about this matter because of the sha it brought to our family, so he ordered us not to ntion her na in our family or go to look for her."
