Chapter 160 - His Approval
If only Jia Li knew what giving head (sexual interpretation) ans, she would have preferred she ssed up with her project or asked Grandfather Fu to help her find a coach, then to agree to sothing she had no idea about.
Since Jia Li didn't say anything, Fu Hua took it as a tacit understanding. It didn't matter if she knew what he ant or not. To him, her silence was an agreent.
As Fu Hua was in a good mood, Jia Li felt the opportunity was right to bring up the matter about following Fu ixu to her film wrap-up party.
"Fu Hua, please I have a request to make." Jia Li said in a polite tone.
Fu Hua dropped whatever he was doing and fixed his gaze on her.
"What request do you have?" Fu Hua asked.
"Can I follow ixu to her film wrap-up party?" Jia Li asked after generating courage.
"Was that the reason you two were talking behind my back?" Fu Hua asked as he rembered the scene from earlier.
This ti around, Jia Li said the truth. "Yes. She asked if I wished to co with her, and I agreed, but I delayed my response because I have to get your permission." Jia Li said in a soft tone.
Fu Hua liked her last statent and imdiately gave his approval without asking for further explanations or questions.
Jia Li was surprised with how easy it was for him to approve of it. She was so surprised that she didn't know when she said, "Just like that?"
Fu Hua said to her, "Do you want to give you another condition for my approval?"
"No...no, thank you!" Jia Li said and imdiately left his side just before he would change his mind.
Having gotten his approval, Jia Li texted Fu ixu to share the good news with her.
Fu ixu: What? that was so fast.
Feeling guilty about leaving her and running for her life, Fu ixu apologized. It was a good thing that Jia Li didn't bear a grudge against her.
Fu ixu: Great! We have to go to the beauty salon and shop for our outfits in the morning. The party is in the evening.
Jia Li wondered if this was how the life of the wealthy was because there were obviously so many clothes in the closet to pick from, but it was a habit to get a new one for every new event.
At last, Jia Li agreed to it.
After exchanging texts with Fu ixu, Fu Hua called her attention.
"Don't forget you're pregnant and don't drink any alcohol. Don't give your contact to anybody."
Fu Hua knew that Jia Li was naive, and it was easy to deceive or use her, so he had to remind her of things she shouldn't do.
"Okay." Jia Li agreed imdiately because she didn't have any issues with it.
The next morning after breakfast, Fu Hua called Fu ixu out to speak to her. The latter was so scared and didn't know if Fu Hua wanted to punish her for speaking against him.
She was surprised to find out he only wanted to talk about her protecting Jia Li.
Fu Hua noticed that Fu ixu was lost in thought while he was speaking to him, and his countenance changed.
"Are you even listening to ?" Fu Hua asked in a cold tone.
His cold tone was enough to bring Fu ixu back to her senses so she hurriedly replied, "Yes...Yes..."
"If any mishap happens to Jia Li, I will settle the scores with you. Make sure you take the driver I arranged for you two." Fu Hua said before walking away.
'Is it so hard to go out with Jia Li these days? Why is everyone being so overprotective of her?' Fu ixu thought as she couldn't place her hands around it.
She was surprised that even her cold-faced cousin would be so overprotective of Jia Li as to even threaten her and arrange a driver for them.
Fu ixu didn't dwell on the matter for long, because she was going to the clothing store to pick so dresses, which alone made her excited.
Around noon, Jia Li and Fu ixu left the Fu house with the car and driver Fu Hua arranged for them.
The first went to the beauty salon to wash their hair and get a massage. Next, they went shopping. Naturally, Jia Li had a good taste in fashion, but she didn't like to wear most of the clothes, because of the kind of person she was.
But she could make a good pick for so else.
Fu ixu was not Fu Hua who could impose a dress on Jia Li. She could only allow Jia Li to choose whatever she wanted.
With this cold weather, and with the fact that she didn't want to garner any attention, she chose a pair of blue jeans trousers and a long-sleeve turtle neck blouse.
"Jia Li, do you really want to dress like this? There will be so celebrities coming to the party." Fu ixu reminded her.
"I'm fine with this. You only invited to join in the party, I am not one of you." Jia Li said as she glanced at herself in the mirror.
"Okay, but you at least have to wear the shoes I will choose for you, I have to make you look beautiful." Fu ixu said as she went to the footwear section to pick a pair of stiletto ???? for Jia Li.
Jia Li rejected her pick and said with a smile. "The weather is so cold and I can't stand it, I prefer to wear a pair of boots with short heels."
Fu ixu decided to let her choose whatever she wanted, while she went on to pick her dress.
She chose a white sexy dress and a pair of a red stiletto.
Jia Li wanted to ask her if she wouldn't feel cold, but she saw her picking a red leather jacket and kept her thoughts to herself.
From the clothing store, they went to get their make-up done, before leaving for the venue for the wrap-up party.
