Dinner felt like a course al straight out of a high-end restaurant.

A salad with homade dressing, walnuts, blue cheese, and berries.

On the side, truffle mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus.

And for the main course—pri rib roast and roast chicken with herb stuffing.

“Wahaha!! How about the skills of the secretary our guild’s so proud of, huh?”

“Damn... You could open a restaurant with this.”

“Haha, makes wanna move in with her!”

They were flirting like it was breathing, even though she was sitting right there.

Emilia just smiled gently at Max’s praise.

“I tried to make it a little lighter, sothing that would suit Asian tastes. Was it okay?”

I had been shoveling food into my mouth nonstop, so I just gave a silent thumbs-up.

“Ahem... Hun, by the way, aren’t you gonna stream?”

“...?”

“I’m just kinda bored, you know...”

“Hm... You know your house is gonna be on stream, right? You okay with that?”

Max nodded without a care.

He must’ve been really bored to bring it up himself.

I had been planning to post a notice about our U.S. trip anyway. Saying it out loud is easier.

[zlSuperStrongHero: This is Max’s place]

[Never seen soone get forced to stream at this hour lol]

[Bro I was just at work wtf]

[Lmao unemployed gang wins again]

“Hey everyone. We’re at Max’s place right now.”

When I panned the cara to Max, he grinned wide with sparkling white teeth. When I showed Emilia, she gave a shy little wave.

“It should be morning in Korea around now.”

Then I added that tomorrow, we’d be heading to a casino in Las Vegas.

The chat instantly blew up, asking what other plans we had.

“I dunno.”

[If you don’t know, who the hell does]

[Bruh really took first class all the way to the U.S. just to gamble lol]

“It’s not like that... Max said he’d show us around.”

I passed the bla off a bit and turned the cara to Max.

He laughed heartily and said he’d teach how to actually spend money—since I was living way too frugally for soone earning this much.

I wondered if people would be put off by the extravagance, but viewers actually seed into it.

[Honestly I’m super curious lol]

[For real tho, what do rich people eat and spend on??]

[Heard chicken’s like 30 cents to them and a PlayStation’s 700 bucks]

“Alright then—see you all in Vegas!”

****

We were on the way back to the airport.

Why?

Because I had no idea Vegas was that far away.

“If we take the private jet, we can fly out right away.”

“Still takes five hours though, huh?”

“Perfect timing, really. Vegas doesn’t start until after dark.”

True.

I’d never actually been, but everything I’d ever seen of Vegas was set at night.

“You’ll probably nap a bit, and we’ll be there before you know it.”

The flight wasn’t long, but it wasn’t short either.

The airport was smack in the middle of the Vegas Strip, so we made it to the hotel pretty quickly.

“Boss, we’re gonna go shopping for a bit.”

“Sure. Do whatever.”

Emilia and Lyla went off to shop, leaving and Max alone.

Without Lyla, having a fluent conversation was off the table, but we managed to talk a bit.

“Ahem... Sorry, my English is kind of rough...”

“Hm? You really worry about stuff like that?”

“Isn’t it awkward?”

“Wahahaha!! Co on, the fact that a Korean guy is even using English is amazing.”

“You think so?”

“I an, I don’t know a single word of Korean. But you? You speak two languages.”

Turns out Max, despite his looks, was surprisingly thoughtful.

He led the way to the casino.

Around us, everyone looked dressed to the nines, like they were headed to a formal party.

“Hey, shouldn’t we be wearing suits or sothing?”

“Heh, yeah, dressing the part for the dress code is important.”

anwhile, we were in super casual clothes—like we’d just popped out for coffee.

But Max waved his hand dismissively.

“Guys like us don’t need to dress up. We are the status.”

“Whoa...”

Sure enough, when Max showed sothing to the security guards, they all bowed slightly and stepped aside.

Not even a pat-down.

“Co on.”

We followed him inside. The place was packed.

People sitting at tables, betting with chips. Folks spinning slot machines. Servers weaving through the crowd with drinks in hand.

Max walked straight up and exchanged for chips.

“Whoa, these coins...”

The round chip, slightly bigger than a 500-won coin, was worth a staggering 35 million won.

And the square chip Max was holding? That one was worth 140 million.

“There’s nothing for us to do out here.”

He stopped a passing staff mber and said sothing to them.

Soon, suited employees with earpieces showed up and politely led us inside.

“This is the high-limit room, where the VIPs play.”

Hiss...

I hesitated as I was about to start the stream.

Can I even stream in here...?

“Doesn’t really matter, does it?”

Max was way more sharp than I expected.

As long as I wasn’t glorifying gambling, and kept donations disabled, and I didn’t show it as content ant for minors, I should be fine.

“Screw it. It’s not like I’ll ever be in a place like this again.”

I age-locked the stream to 19 , disabled donos, and hit ‘Go Live.’

[zlSuperStrongHero: This ga’s all about the heart, not the hands]

[???]

[LMAOOO now I get why he marked it 19 ]

[First-ever Korean casino stream lol]

[Wait, aren’t caras banned in casinos?? How is this even allowed?]

“They said it’s fine. We’ve got the VIP room to ourselves, and the casino approved it.”

‘Gambling and booze—classic guy territory!’

That’s how I justified it.

But then...

I lost all my chips within the first hour.

“Fuck...”

[LOLLLLL]

[You seriously suck at this.]

[Dude’s a full-on clown hahahaha]

[Well hey, at least we learned that gambling is bad.]

Max was losing too, but his expression didn’t budge an inch.

He just kept doubling his bet every ti, totally unfazed.

“Hun, all you gotta do is keep doubling it.”

“...”

Max was way richer than I ever imagined.

And honestly, he was on such a bad losing streak, it made wonder if he was cursed.

“You only need to win once.”

The ultimate casino strategy.

Keep doubling your bet every ti you lose.

You only need that one win.

[Thanks for the “great” tip]

[Bro lmao that only works if you have infinite money 💀]

“Player wins. Congratulations.”

The dealer sitting across from us flipped over the cards, revealing Max’s win.

“No way, that actually worked?”

Max let out a {N•o•v•e•l•i•g•h•t} deep chuckle and handed a stack of chips—exactly the amount I’d lost.

Normally, that kind of transfer wasn’t allowed, but maybe the high-limit room played by different rules. One of the staff mbers logged it without issue.

“Had your fill?”

“Uh... yeah...”

I don’t know if I’d call it fun, but one thing was crystal clear—I should never gamble again.

Just as I was about to get up from my seat, Lyla ssaged .

Since streaming wasn’t allowed anywhere else in the casino, I told them to et us here.

[???????????]

[What the fuck is going on???]

Lyla showed up with Emilia, both just back from shopping—and Lyla was wearing a black dress.

“H-How... do I look...?”

It was a stunning off-the-shoulder black dress, her pale white shoulders completely exposed.

At the monster auction before, she’d worn a modest gown that covered almost everything.

But this one? This one was designed to drive a man crazy.

“Say sothing already...!”

Unlike the tis she boldly seduced , she actually looked shy in this one—like the hint of skin made her embarrassed.

‘Co to think of it, she’s always worn pretty conservative stuff in public...’

“Wow... I an, what do I even say...”

This wasn’t the usual teasing, sultry Lyla.

She blushed and avoided eye contact, clearly flustered.

“Uuuuugh...”

‘I was planning to behave today, but...’

[Heuuuung... Mommy...]

[I wanna blow my dono pouch...]

↳ Comnt temporarily banned

[How can a human look like that?]

[She could legit be a goddess]

No.

Lyla was far more beautiful than any goddess.

Even after we left the casino, Max dragged around all over the city.

Luxurious penthouse parties. High-end shopping sprees. VIP seats at celebrity concerts.

All the best of what Vegas had to offer.

“...”

But none of it really did it for .

My eyes were only ever on Lyla.

“Did you have a good ti?”

“Yeah. It was stuff I’ve never done before.”

“I’m glad. In that case, let show you how real elites have fun.”

Wasn’t what we just did already how rich people have fun?

I asked him, a bit confused. He just laughed.

“That’s how shallow nouveau riche spend their money. You know what the greatest asset of the true upper class is?”

My mind went to the obvious stuff—money, stocks, real estate...

“It’s connections.”

“...”

“Good. You get it. Then I’ll see you tomorrow in front of the hotel.”

****

As soon as we stepped into the hotel room, Lyla grabbed the sides of her off-shoulder dress and pulled it down in one smooth motion.

I buried my face in her chest and just... let myself relax.

── pat, pat...

Even with the sudden move, Lyla simply smiled tenderly and stroked my head as I clung to her.

“...It’s embarrassing, but... if you like it, I’ll wear things like this for you sotis, Hero♥”
