Kai blitzed past the monkeys flanking them from behind and rubbed his hands in anticipation. He grabbed one by the tail and spun it around like a helicopter, slamming it onto he ground so hard that its body burst from the impact.

"Oh god, gross! Why did I do that?!"

"OOO OOO AHH AHH! AHHH OO OO AAHH!" Monkeys turned around and charged Kai, bearing their fangs.

"Co to , little monkeys. All of you will get a banana!"

Back in the front, Amaya and Gwen were working together, killing the frost monkeys in their path.

Amaya was agile, moving swiftly between monkeys, using acrobatics while cleanly cutting off their heads or stabbing them in the chest.

Gwen was precise with her spells, only aiming at the heads with her fire arrows. Because she used fire, the Frost Monkeys had a difficult ti dealing with her, and when they happened to get close, a wall of flas would stop them in their path, allowing Amaya to kill them easily.

"Behind you, Gwen," Amaya warned, cutting a monkey in two.

"Right back at you," Gwen said, pointing a finger over her shoulder to kill the monkey that was behind her.

Amaya swiftly turned around, crouching to avoid the monkey’s attack, and stabbed it in the throat.

The two of them fought side by side, covering each other’s backs, and slaughtered all the monkeys together.

Kai was also having fun, sticking bananas into the mouths of the monkeys.

"You get a banana! And you get one! And you! And you! And you! All of you get a banana!"

"OO OO AHH! (Stop putting this shit in my mouth, you bitch.)" The monkey scread

"I know, you love them. So do I. But honestly, I like bananas when they still have so green on them. So like not fully ripe yet, but almost there. You know, when they’re sowhat hard? That’s the best ti to eat one."

"AHHH AHH! (I don’t give a fuck about that shit! Stop putting these nasty ass fruits in our mouths!)" Another one screeched

"Okay, okay! Chill, jeez. You can have another banana, all you had to do was ask nicely."

"AHHHHHHHHHHHH! (WE DON’T WANT YOUR STUPID ASS BANANAS!)" The monkey spat out the banana and stomped on it.

Another one threw its banana at Kai’s head.

All the monkeys around Kai either threw their banana away or smashed them out of anger.

"Oohoohoohoo! (How you like that, bitch!)" A monkey smirked

"You, motherfuckers! How dare you ruin a good banana!" Kai moved so fast that the monkey who was smirking was still doing so when its head was ripped off its body.

"I’ll kill all of you!" Kai looked like a glitching blur with how fast he killed the frost monkeys. The white snow turned red from bloom, filled with the corpses of the monkeys he slaughtered.

"Huff, that will show them! Ungrateful bastards." He kicked a monkey off his foot and walked over to Gwen and Amaya, who were finishing their battle.

"You done over there?" Gwen asked

"Yeah. Unfortunately, the monkeys didn’t like my bananas."

"Well, yeah, they’re carnivores. Why would they eat fruit?"

"Muthafuckah. No wonder they were so pissed off every ti I gave them a banana." Kai stored all the monkeys in his inventory to sell for later.

"If you two are ready, then let’s continue. The wendigo cave should be sowhere around here. Be careful though, frost wolves live around these parts and they hunt in packs." Amaya warned. She cleaned the blood off her sword and sheathed it, preparing to journey again.

"Let’s go."

The three of them continued to explore the mountainside, looking for the Wendigo cave. Along the way, they did, in fact, co across Frost Wolves, but they were super easy to kill and didn’t have as many numbers as the monkeys.

Kai could have checked his map to locate the cave, but he opted not to, so he could not only gain experience, but so he could also enjoy the feeling of adventuring.

His tracking skills ca in handy, allowing him to track where the cave might be, thanks to Amaya’s knowledge of them.

Soon, by nightfall, they arrived at the cave.

Amaya grinned upon seeing the cave entrance. She took a few sniffs to make sure they were in the right place, and when she slled the beast, she drew her sword. "Here we are. You two ready?"

"Oh yeah!" Kai slamd his fists together.

"I have your backs." Gwen readied her staff.

"Kai, since you’re the strongest, you take point. I’ll support you. Gwen, you lay down cover fire."

"You got it, boss!" ’Wait, I’m the boss, arent I? Fuck, I gotta step up next ti. Well, whatever.’

Kai started bouncing on his toes, warming up his body and rolling his shoulders. He cracked his neck, stretched his arms, then took off into the cave.

"Gwen, let’s go!" Amaya and Gwen followed closely behind.

When they entered the cave, a colossal creature with massive muscles, horns on its head, white fur, sharp claws, and a mouth full of sharp teeth and two curved fangs roared at the top of its lungs.

"Ohh, so you’re a Wendigo, huh? Well, more like Wendigone!" Kai launched himself off the ground, the ice under his feet cracking. His fists were full of mana as he prepared to knock the creature out.

The Wendigo didn’t back down, winding up his arm to overpower Kai’s attack. The creature wasn’t scared, nor did it feel threatened. As an intelligent creature that has fought against many monsters, primal beasts, and even people, it was confident in its strength.

"Yeah! FIST CLASH! BOOOM BABY!" The mont their fists connected with each other, a loud crack echoed in the air.

"ROARRRRRRR!" The wendigo’s arm was completely shattered, bones coming out of its hide as it stumbled backward.

Kai, still in the air, grabbed onto its arm, pulling himself forward and over the beast, kicking its back to push it toward Amaya.

"Head’s up!" He warned.

"Let’s go, Gwen!"

"Right!"

The wendigo stumbled but didn’t fall; its anger rose instead. With its useful arm, it slamd it into the ground to squash Amaya, but she was as nimble as a cat, easily maneuvering around the attack and cutting the tendons of the beast.

The creature bellowed and fell to the ground. Amaya leaped onto its back and stabbed her sword where its heart would be.

"Shit! Its back muscles are too thick!"

The beast tossed Amaya off, getting saved by Kai before she could get hurt, then turned its attention to Gwen.

Opening its mouth, a massive frost beam fired toward her at devastating speeds.

"Oh spirits, warm the air that I breathe." She slamd her staff into the ice, and an orange magic circle spawned under her. "Fire Canon!"

A fla, just as destructive as the frost beam, crashed into it, pushing the wendigo back.

"Yeah! Beam struggle!"

Gwen was strong, but the wendigo was a C-Rank beast for a party, so even with Gwen’s strength, she was still being overpowered.

’Shit, she’s losing. I gotta help her!’

But before he could, sothing snapped in Gwen, and her firepower increased tenfold, completely burning the wendigo to death.
