"Do you hear fighting?" Lucy asked Kai as they ran toward the cave entrance
"Yeah! Let’s hurry, sothing bad may be happening."
As they exited the cave, they saw their party engaged in a losing battle against a whole army of goblins, hobgoblins, and ogres.
The two of them wasted no ti and jumped into action, aiding their party.
"Lucy! Kai! Boy, am I glad to see you two!" Josh said, sliding the legs of an ogre as Lucy fired an arrow through its head.
"Spohia, I got this, help the others." Kai placed a barrier around the people that protected them from harm.
"Thank you." She blasted a whole wave of monsters coming her way.
"Gah! Stupid human! Stupid dawrf! Stupid elf! Ruin plan! Ugly man gonna be upset! I kill all you!" The goblin lord raised his hand, and a purple fireball ford above it.
Lucy’s eyes almost left her face with how wide they got. "No way! That’s...that’s impossible!"
*BOOM*
The fireball crashed down on the earth, obliterating anything in its path, including its allies.
"Gekekeke! Stupid humans dead! Ugly man be proud!"
As the goblin lord celebrated, Kai, who had protected everyone with his barrier, used his super speed to quickly slice off the head of the unsuspecting goblin.
"Glad we got that over with quickly." He smiled, putting the goblin lord as well as all the other monsters in his inventory.
"W-We’re saved!"
"Thank you adventures!"
"My wife! I can go back ho to my wife!"
"Don’t worry, son, we’ll be okay now."
The people rejoiced as they were now freed from captivity.
"Kai? Kai is that you?" A voice called out to him.
"Huh? Paul? George? Hey man, what are you two doing here? I thought you went back ho." He greeted his first friends he t in this world.
"Funny story. We did go back ho, but so people from our village started going missing while using this route on their way to Hearthwood. George and I went to investigate, but we were captured. Thanks to you, we survived and will be able to go back ho now."
"Well, I’m glad you two are doing well." Kai patted Paul on the shoulder.
"You should co visit so I can thank you properly. My wife knows her way around the kitchen."
Kai was about to decline, but an idea crossed his mind. ’He’s basically telling to fuck his wife. Shit, I wont decline that offer.’
"I will, thanks."
"Kai, do you know these people?" Erika asked, walking up to him and wrapping her arms around his which stuffed his arm in her massive tits. It was clear that she was still shaken up and only did this to ease her mind, but that didn’t stop Kai from getting a hard-on.
"Y-Yeah, they helped out when I couldn’t get inside Hearthwood because I didn’t have an ID. I had to beco a hunter just to get one. Ha."
"You beca a hunter? Really? I’m so proud of you, little brother!" Vanira hugged his other side and her huge tits pressed against his chest.

While Kai was trying to stay calm, Josh and his party were talking with one another.
"I’m telling you! I was alive when it happened last ti. The Demon King is returning! When he does, the demons start making their moves, and monsters skyrocket in intelligence. They also start being able to use dark mana. I should have known this was the case." Lucy said, clutching her bow tightly.
"We have to alert the higher-ups, then. This is a matter for the Church, Hero, and Hero Academy."
"The demon king, huh. I’ve heard stories about him. Every few centuries, dark mana builds up and manifests a demon king, which is a complete counter to the god of the land, and the hero has to kill him. If I’m not mistaken, about 3,000 years ago, didn’t the demon king win?" Sophia asked
Lucy nodded. "That’s right, my grandmother lived through those tis. She said it was horrible. Thankfully, the next hero was able to slay him. But the demon kings are immortal, and they keep coming back after building up their power."
"Okay, let’s save the history lesson for later. Our first priority should be to get these people back to their hos."
Everyone agreed.
"Excuse , everyone? We’ll be taking you all back ho now. Is there anyone who lives in the village that’s close by?" Josh asked.
Almost everyone raised their hands.
Kai knew why as well. The village he, or his other self, was from was further away and got completely destroyed, with the majority of the people being killed as well. And those who managed to survive were also killed in the cave. That left only a handful of people from ’his’ village.
"Okay, we’ll escort you all there safely before returning to Hearthwood."
And so they did. For the next week, they escorted everyone to the nearby village, stopping here and there for the young and elderly, as well as to cook so food.
Everyone loved Kai’s cooking and wanted more.
During this ti, Erika and Varina stayed close to Kai, which he didn’t mind. He knew from the mories that there was no sexual relationship between him and his family. It was just that they were very close, especially after his dad died, and now with what happened recently, they didn’t want to let go out of fear of losing each other.
After reaching the village, everyone settled down there, even the refugees. They were promised a role in the village since their own ho was destroyed. They offered the sa thing to Kai and his family, but he declined since he was living in Hearthwood and had no plans to leave that town until he started his adventure.
’I guess I’ll have to buy a house now. Mom and Varina won’t fit in Carl’s house, and I’m not having them sleep in an inn. Well, I should earn good money from this quest. And if push cos to shove, I’ll just hypnotize the realtor.’
"Okay. We’ll be heading back to Hearthwood now. You guys ready?" Josh asked, even though it was just Kai and his family, Paul, and George.
"Yeah. Let’s go."
