"Kai! Stop running! Get back here!"
"No! Fuck no! You got fucked up! I’d rather die! Oh god! Aghhhhh!"

Kai, Gwen, Amaya, and Sasha made it to the forest and searched around for the monster. It didn’t take them long to find it either. However, when they did, Kai lost his mind.
They walked around, seeing silky strings connecting to trees with the corpses of animals and people tied to them. So were even still alive, but barely. It was obvious what type of creature would do this, and Kai was not looking forward to seeing the monster face to face.
As they continued to go deeper into the forest, they finally saw it, a large purple and yellow spider. It had eight legs as sharp as swords, eight eyes that could pierce soone’s soul, and acid dripped from its mouth with two stingers cuttently lodged inside a large animal.
The mont everything set in, Kai ran for his life. Why? He was scared of critters.
His perfect mind had taken away fears that he would have, such as heights, danger, death, and so on, but critters always creeped him out, and he hated them then and still hates them now.
As he was running away, Kai tripped over a tree root and fell face-first on the ground.
"Kai! Kai, what is the matter with you! Why are you running away from the monster?!" Sasha asked, picking him up.
"It’s a spider! A fucking spider! Ugh! They’re so creepy and gross and have eight legs! I hate them!" His body was shaking, not out of fear, but disgust.
"I hate bugs too, but I’m not afraid of a spider." Gwen smiled. "So you should be fine as well."
"Spiders aren’t bugs! They’re arachnids! Like Scorpions!" He corrected her.
Gwen looked at him for a bit, her facial expression showing worry for Kai. "Yeah, I have no idea what that ans."
"KEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK" The spider screeched, running right behind them with its creepy legs.
"Shit! Get ready, you two!" Sasha pulled out her shield and prepared herself for battle.
Amaya and Gwen did the sa. Each of them stood in front of Kai since he was acting crazy and knew they had to protect him.
Sasha activated her power, and a massive yellow projection of a shield appeared in front of everyone. "Here it cos!"
"Get away!" Kai charged raw mana into his hands and threw it at the spider, completely blowing its head off, killing it in one blow.
The girls looked at each other, then at Kai.
"Well, that was easy. Ti to go back and get that A-Rank party status." Sasha put up her shield, found the spider’s core, and then started walking back.
When Kai started to walk back as well, Amaya tapped him on the shoulder. "You’re not going to put the spider in your inventory?"
"Fuck no! You’re crazy."
"You should put it in your inventory. We can sell it later." Gwen suggested.
"I’d rather-"
"Put. It. In. Your. Inventory." She demanded.
"F-Fine."

It had only been an hour since they left, so when they arrived back at Marenford, the fat man, who was going around collecting protection money from people, was surprised by their arrival.
"That was quick. Oh, wait, don’t tell you all got scared and ran away?" He teased
The girls looked at Kai and giggled.
"No! We didn’t get scared and run away." He pulled out the core. "He’re is what you want."
The fatman’s eyes lit up. "Perfect! I knew you were a great man the mont I saw you. Quickly, hand it over."
"Yeah sure." He activated his hypnosis. "You don’t want the core or spider corpse. What you truly want to do is run all the way up that mountain, then jump off to kill yourself. Including your n."
"You, Carl!" The fat man called while looking at the tall mountain.
"Y-Yes, boss."
"et in my office. We need to arrange how we’ll jump off that mountain."
’Fucking fat bastard. That’s what you get for making fight against a goddamn spider.’
"Really, Kai?" Gwen couldn’t help but shake her head at Kai’s childishness.
"He deserved it. Now let’s go get our Party rank increased."
After becoming an A-Rank party, Kai checked the stats of his girls to see if he could increase them with his power. Unfortunately, he couldn’t; however, there were only around 2 more weeks until he could.
Because Sasha was already an S-Rank, they needed an A or S rank to beco an A-Rank party since Gwen and Amaya were already B-Rank. So, Kai took the promotion test and beca an A-Rank Adventurer.
"I guess we’re going to Qasyran now, huh?" Amaya smiled wryly. She didn’t want their adventure to be over already. Going to the church ant that Kai would have to do Hero and Church things, and they might not be able to be with him during that ti.
"Fuck no!" Kai responded with a disgusted look. "We’re going to Vaudrille. I know Qasyran is closer, but I still want to beco an S-Rank Adventurer before revealing that I’m the hero. Hell, I want to join the hero academy before I reveal that I’m the hero. Quasyran cos last."
"Yay!"
"Let’s goo!"
"Now you’re talking!"
"Also, we need two more party mbers to complete our roster! A cleric and an archer. Preferably a human and an elf." Kai said with a lustful grin.
’After the human and elf girls joined my party, I would have collected them all like Pokémon!’
"You just want to fuck an elf girl." Gwen grinned, looking at his face.
"Joke’s on you, I got an elf girl pregnant already. Haha!"
Amaya looked at her map, flipping it from side to side. She frowned as she saw the distance between Marenford and Vaudrille. "This is like a month’s journey. Maybe longer."
"Amaya, our carriage is fast. We’ll get there in no ti." Sasha reminded her.
"I know, but it’s so long! We barely did anything here! I wanted to go hunting and kill a bunch of monsters. But we’re leaving after only two hours." She complained
"Hey, at least we’ll get everything you want when we arrive in Vaudrille. That’s the capital city, and it’s much larger than Ashenfall." Gwen was also bumd out by their short stay, but she was on the more optimistic side than Amaya.
"I guess. I just hope we don’t run into danger from traveling for so long." She said as her ears drooped downward.
Kai laughed, placing his arm around her shoulders. "With here, what’s the worst that can happen?"
