Chapter 2332: Chapter 2332: Shall we go inside?
"Honored guards, is there sothing you’d like to ask my mistress?" She looked at the group of n before her and asked.
"Ahem!"
The eldest of the group gave a light cough, turned, and looked at the waiter.
"This isn’t your concern anymore. Go about your business."
The waiter glanced at the three guards, then at Shijian. Though a bit curious, he left without saying a word.
After the waiter had gone, Shijian rely fixed her calm gaze on the three n in front of her, waiting for them to speak.
"W-Why are you looking at us like that?"
The Second, unnerved by Shijian’s stare, felt a tingling sensation on his scalp and couldn’t help but ask.
"Aren’t I just waiting for you to start asking questions?" Shijian shrugged and replied.
"Shut up!"
The eldest turned his head to glare at the Second, lowering his voice to bark the order angrily.
He was studying this woman before him, trying to gauge if there were other hidden protectors in the room. And yet, the Second couldn’t keep his mouth shut.
Scolded by his leader, the Second imdiately hung his head and dared not say another word.
"Young lady, is your mistress here? We’re from the Commander’s Office. Our commander has so questions for her."
After chastising the Second, the eldest spoke to Shijian with a wide, ingratiating smile.
"She’s inside. Didn’t you just hear her speak earlier?" Shijian replied.
After all, it hadn’t been her talking in the room earlier. These fellows—acting so guilty, yet posing as guards—were downright absurd!
"Why don’t the three of you co inside?" she suggested.
"Oh, that... that works, sure," the eldest agreed after a mont of thought, nodding.
He had concluded that the room most likely housed only the one woman and no additional threats, which made things much simpler for them.
Turning to glance at the Second and Four, he then led the way into the room.
"Ah!"
Just as he stepped in, a black shadow lood over him. A massive fist shot toward him, narrowly missing knocking him unconscious.
Crying out in pain, he turned to flee.
But Shijian, standing right behind him, raised her foot and sent him sprawling to the ground in a humiliating faceplant.
Then, spinning around, she grabbed the collars of the Second and Four, who had been trying to escape. Effortlessly, she dragged them into the room. With a swift motion, Zhen Wu shut the door behind them.
"You... You..."
The eldest looked at the three people in the room with a miserable expression.
Lin Caisang was sitting leisurely in a chair, gazing at them with a relaxed air.
"You’ve got a lot of nerve. Do you have any idea who we are? We’re n of the Commander’s Office! If you offend us, you’d better be ready for the consequences.
If you know what’s good for you, release us imdiately, and we might put in a good word for you with the commander. That way, you can leave Sky City unscathed. Otherwise, you won’t be walking out of here alive!"
He still clung to the hope that invoking the na of the Commander’s Office might intimidate them into letting him go.
"Tsk, heh."
Lin Caisang let out a soft chuckle.
"n of the Commander’s Office?" She regarded the three with a faint smile and asked softly.
"That’s right! We are from the Commander’s Office!"
The Second, having been thrown to the ground and left reeling, stuck out his neck stubbornly as he asserted this once more.
"Zhen Wu."
Lin Caisang raised her head and glanced at Zhen Wu.
Understanding her aning imdiately, Zhen Wu stepped forward and launched into a relentless assault of punches and kicks on the three.
"Ah! Ow! Stop, please... please stop hitting us!"
The three n were beaten so rcilessly that they cried out in pain, begging for relief.
"Stop it! You’re going to kill us! We’re... we’re from the Commander’s Offi—ahhh!"
