Chapter 2028: Chapter 2028: Send Ding Rong to Dragon Heart Valley

“Go now and handle it. Buy the several residences next to Commander Lin’s ho and register them in Commander Lin’s na.”

After so thought, he lifted his head and instructed the guard.

He figured that Lin Nian must be going back to bring his family to live in Sky City.

If there were many of them, could they all fit in Lin Nian’s small house? He better consider this for him and buy him a few more houses.

“Yes, City Lord,” replied the guard, who then left.

“Lin Nian, oh Lin Nian, look how well this City Lord treats you. I’ve arranged your ho for you; you better return soon!” It was only after the guard had left that the City Lord muttered to the air.

“Return soon for what?”

Suddenly, a voice tinged with amusent reached his ears, and he looked up to see his wife walking in.

“Lady, what brings you here?”

He stood up and asked.

“I heard that Lin Nian had left and ca to see how you were,” the Lady of the City Lord’s Mansion said.

“Ah,” he sighed deeply.

“That man really doesn’t show any sentint. He just up and left.”

“If he wanted to leave, could you have kept him? I’ve heard that Lin Nian left on a rather impressive flying demon, which just goes to show that his daughter is no simple character either. She’ll co back sooner or later.”

The Lady of the City Lord’s Mansion spoke.

“That’s true.”

The City Lord nodded, agreeing with his wife’s sensible words.

What could one accomplish in the wastelands? In the end, one still had to co to the Illusion Continent. He had worried for nothing.

“It’s good if Lin Nian returns, but my lady, there’s the matter of your niece…”

Upon ntioning Ding Rong, the Lady of the City Lord’s Mansion’s expression soured, and she sighed heavily.

“Rong’er has been spoiled by her parents. She dares to do anything. I had intended to keep her by my side and discipline her to temper her temper, but who knew she would beco even more unruly.

Now, I’ve co to discuss with you, City Lord, as Dragon Heart Valley is about to open. Perhaps we should let Rong’er go there for so experiences?”

“You want Ding Rong to go to Dragon Heart Valley?” The City Lord was sowhat surprised to hear his wife’s suggestion.

Dragon Heart Valley might have a nice na, but it’s not exactly a pleasant place. It was an area that Sky City had designated for those who had made small mistakes or the unruly children of noble families to undergo training.

To put it bluntly, it is essentially a big prison, only it sounds nicer to say they’re going for training.

“Are you willing to part with her?”

“What’s the alternative? If she keeps causing trouble like this, the City Lord’s Mansion will be in constant turmoil,” the Lady of the City Lord’s Mansion said.

She had to be willing to let go, whether she liked it or not. After all, it wasn’t her daughter. Her sister had spoiled her daughter to this state and now sent her to her care, expecting her to discipline the child.

And since it was about discipline, she had to be strict.

She had been lenient before, seeing that she was, after all, the daughter of her sister. But now, she realized that the more leeway she gave Ding Rong, the more trouble she caused.

“Let her go. It’s ti she learned to rein in her temperant, lest she beco unmarriageable!” she said.

“Alright, if you’re prepared to let her go, then I will arrange it and add another na to the list,” the City Lord said.

“Thank you, City Lord.”

The Lady of the City Lord’s Mansion expressed her gratitude, and then they both resud their work, one managing affairs and the other beginning to grind ink.
