Chapter 1313: 600 anyway_2 Chapter 1313: 600 anyway_2 “Grandmother, do we have guests?” A sowhat arrogant woman sauntered into the dining room, clad in designer labels and sparkling with jewels.
Granny Drake put her chopsticks down, her face serious, “How do you manage the household, when such a major incident has happened at ho and you only show up now.”
The woman pursed her lips: “Grandmother, you are the official head of the Drake household, not .
I’m young, what could I possibly manage?
I’d rather not cause you any trouble.”
Her mocking tone angered those who listened, without a hint of respect in her voice.
Edward furrowed his brows, looking at the woman across the dining table.
Jobelle Callum took this opportunity to fully take in the man’s features, raising her eyebrows in surprise.
He was so handso, handso and young, with an elegant cold deanor that intrigued her.
...
However, there was sothing familiar about his face.
“Our guest looks so familiar, have we t sowhere before?”
Granny Drake snorted coldly: “You, now, go and bring Dustin back to at once.
If you can’t bring him back, don’t bother coming back yourself.”
Jobelle Callum rolled her eyes: “Grandmother, you should know your own grandson all too well.
I don’t need to say what sort of character he is.
If I had the ability to control him, why would I need to put up with this in the Drake household?
Spare the effort.”
“Grandmother.” Joshua ca in, his eyebrows involuntarily furrowing when he saw Jobelle Callum.
“Oh, my younger brother is back.
Where’s my younger sister?
Isn’t her due date coming up soon?
If she isn’t staying at the hospital and sothing happens, that’s two lives on the line.”
“Shut up.” Granny Drake’s gaze was sharp, making Jobelle Callum shiver and subconsciously clamped her mouth shut.
This old woman usually spent her days praying to Buddha, when had she beco so formidable?
Granny Drake turned to Joshua, her tone beca a bit softer: “How is Wan’s health?”
“Don’t worry, grandmother, she and the child are both well and in a very safe place.”
Granny Drake sighed in relief: “That’s good, sit down and eat.”
Joshua, noticing that Granny Drake and Edward had reconciled, felt a surge of joy for them.
After Edward finished his al and put down his chopsticks, Granny Drake asked with concern, “What’s the matter?
Didn’t you like the food?”
Edward shook his head: “Grandmother, aside from visiting you, there’s another crucial matter I need to attend to this ti.”
Granny Drake nodded: “Tell , I’ll certainly help if I can.”
Jobelle Callum furrowed her brow, grandmother?
When did this old hag get another grandchild.
Could it be…
Jobelle Callum suddenly looked up.
At the sa ti, the housekeeper rushed in: “Granny Drake, the Master…
the Master has returned.”
Granny Drake nodded, “Take him to the living room, I’ll interrogate him myself.”
“Granny Drake, you’d better go and see.
The Master was…
he was bound and brought back, currently hanging from a tree.”
“What?” Jobelle Callum exclaid in surprise, slapping the table and standing up: “Who dares to do such a thing?”
Granny Drake, although surprised, maintained her composure.
She instinctively looked at Edward.
Edward helped Granny Drake up, saying: “Grandmother, it’s a friend of mine.”
Granny Drake patted his hand: “Then let’s go and see.”
The group filed out of the dining room.
In the yard stood a decades-old craggy magnolia tree that was lush in full spring, from which a person was currently hanging like a swing in the splotchy rain curtain.
The man’s mouth was taped shut, swallowing all his fearful screams.
Standing lazily by the tree was a young man, staring at the ants on the tree stump.
Jobelle Callum, in disbelief, covered her mouth.
“What are you doing?”
How could he treat her husband like that?
Jobelle Callum rushed over, angrily questioning him.
The young man frowned impatiently, flipping his finger.
A green leaf brushed past Jobelle Callum’s ear, acting like a flying knife, and a lock of her hair ca fluttering down.
Jobelle Callum imdiately froze on the spot as if her soul had left her body, unmoving.
The entire person had been scared witless.
“So noisy.” The young man grumbled impatiently, he jerked the rope, and suddenly, the man hanging from the tree began rocking violently, head almost grazing the ground, swaying back and forth like a pirate’s ship.
Each ti his head just barely missed hitting the ground—a slight misjudgent would’ve been all it took to crack his skull.
This scene was too much even for the housekeeper and Granny Drake.
Granny Drake clutched her heart, and Nicholas Drake urgently called out, “Jayden Moore, that’s enough.”
Jayden Moore rely scoffed, “boring”, and let go.
The man fell to the ground like a dead fish.

The pale, fear-stricken face belonged to none other than Dustin Drake.
Jobelle Callum rushed over, shaking Dustin Drake’s limp body, “Dustin Drake, wake up,” she pleaded.
She raised her head, glaring angrily at the grinning young man, “You’re dead at.”
The young man just shrugged nonchalantly.
Jobelle Callum almost passed out from rage.
Granny Drake gripped Nicholas Drake’s hand tightly.
“Edward, what on earth is going on?”
Jayden chuckled and said, “Our mistress is compassionate, incapable of killing.
So, this was the only form of punishnt available.
It’s a pity though, compared to his sins, this punishnt is just a drop in the ocean.”
“Mistress?
Who is your mistress?” In Coral Island, anyone who dare stand against her is simply courting death.
A black umbrella slowly approached.
Jobelle Callum subconsciously looked up, her skin was immaculate, pure as the snow atop the Tianshan Mountains.
Jobelle’s pupils contracted, and she gritted her teeth, “It’s you?
You dare harm my husband?”
The young lady was dressed in solemn black, her belt outlining her slender waist.
Her gorgeous eyes mirrored the tranquility of the deep sea.
“You brought this upon yourself.
Suffer the consequences.”
Jobelle Callum spat out venomously, “What gives you the right to say that?
You dare hurt my husband, you’ve made an enemy out of .
I won’t let you haved it easy.”
“We’ll see.”
Jobelle Callum broke down and cried, “Soone fetch the doctor for my husband.”
The servants quickly went forward.
“Wait.” The young lady’s icy stare rested on the unconscious Dustin.
Her gaze was reminiscent of the grim reaper, causing goosebumps to rise involuntarily.
“You cannot take him with you.”
“By what right do you restrict from taking him?
This is illegal detention.
I’ll sue you for deliberate injury.
You’ll rot in jail.”
Jobelle Callum had never been challenged and provoked in this way before.
She felt as though she could explode with rage.
Who did this little brat think she was, daring to act defiantly before her?
“His judgent has just begun.
Be at ease, I won’t let him die.”
Aubree Groove looked at Jayden Moore.
Jayden Moore walked over, produced a black pill, and before Jobelle Callum could react, he shoved it into Dustin’s mouth and pressed on his chest a few tis.
“What are you doing?
What was in that pill you made him swallow?
Was it poison?”
Jayden Moore was seriously irked by the woman’s shrill voice and quickly stepped back.
Dustin suddenly gasped, his eyes shooting open with a start, though still rather pale, overall, he seed to be in a better state.
He looked completely lost, wondering who he was, where he was, and what he was doing.
Upon seeing Jayden Moore, Dustin appeared to have a stress response, and his body began shaking violently.
Jayden Moore rolled his eyes, walked over, and effortlessly hoisted Dustin off the ground, tossing him at Aubree Groove’s feet.
