Aron’s smile lingered, but his eyes told a different story. Sothing was breaking behind them, a coldness seeping in as his patience finally cracked. He turned to Es, his voice surprisingly polite, but there was an edge to it that sent a chill down her spine. "Madam?" he said, and for a mont, Es’s heart skipped a beat. She knew this calm tone ant he was at his limit.

"Yes?" she responded, her voice steady, though inside she braced herself.

"May I ask for a 15-minute break, please?"

She hesitated, sensing the storm that was about to break, but nodded. "Yes, Aron."

Aron then turned to his brothers. "Masters, can I take a 15-minute break?" His smile remained, but it had grown too tight, too forced, leaving the Aron brothers no choice but to nod quickly in agreent.

With that, Aron faced the elders. The room seed to hold its breath as he loosened his tie, a casual movent that only heightened the tension. The officers exchanged uncertain glances, not sure where this was going. Aron planted one foot on the table, his posture suddenly aggressive, and then erupted.

"What the hell did you just say, huh?" His voice bood through the room, the polite facade gone. "? With this woman? Are you serious?" He shook his head in exaggerated disbelief. "Just the thought of it makes want to vomit! Have you lost your minds?"

The elders recoiled slightly, startled by the outburst, but Aron wasn’t done. He pulled out his wallet, dramatically flipping it open to reveal a picture.

"See this?" he said, thrusting the photo towards them.

"Allow to introduce my wife! She’s drop-dead gorgeous, strong as an ox, and super cute—she’s got it all! Why in the world would I give anyone else a second glance? And her?" He pointed toward Es without even making eye contact. "I could flirt with a siren or a lovable mutt, but her? Not in a million years would I waste a single thought on her!"

Silence fell over the room. The Aron brothers were wide-eyed, clearly shocked by their normally composed prince’s uncharacteristic outburst.

And Es, standing there, felt her face flush with a mix of anger and humiliation. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing. Sure, Aron was denying the accusation, but did he have to go so far as to insult her?

Es rubbed her forehead, letting out a deep sigh before clearing her throat, trying to mask the frustration building up inside her. "Officers," she said, her voice weary, "now do you believe there’s nothing going on between him and ?" Her tone carried an edge of exhaustion, as if this entire ordeal had drained whatever patience she had left.

The officers exchanged glances, noting the scene that had just unfolded. From the way Aron had lashed out at Es, his voice filled with disgust and disdain, it was clear there was no love lost between them. He had shouted at her with such raw emotion that it was impossible to imagine any hidden affair.

One of the officers jotted sothing down, nodding slightly as if confirming the obvious. The way Aron had spoken so passionately about his wife only cented their thoughts. His obsession with her was evident in every word he’d spat out in defense of their relationship. There was no room in his heart for anyone else, certainly not for Es.

"Yes," one officer said slowly, "it’s clear now. There’s no relationship here."

The elders erupted in protest, shouting, "What do you an by nothing? They’re acting! They’re just pretending!" Their desperate cries filled the room, and the officers, slightly taken aback, turned to look at both Aron and Es again.

One officer, keeping his composure, addressed the situation calmly, "I’m sorry, madam, but I think you’re mistaken. We’re police officers, we’ve been in this line of work for a long ti, and we can tell from soone’s tone how they feel about another person. From the way Mr. Prince spoke, it’s clear he holds no affection for Ms. Rose. In fact, it’s obvious he can’t stand her."

Just then, one of the elders, Dallé, shouted, "Okay, if that’s the case, then why did she hire him? Why would she appoint a r who hates her without even checking his qualifications?"

This statent sent a ripple through the room. The officers’ expressions shifted, a flicker of surprise crossing their faces. One of them turned back to Es, clearly intrigued.

"What do you an by not checking the docunts?" the officer asked, now looking at Es with a hint of suspicion.

One of the aunts jabbed a finger toward Es. "Yes, she didn’t even check his background. She appointed this butler within one day!"

The officers, their gazes sharp, turned to Es, silently urging her to explain.

Es let out a sigh, clearly fed up, but her voice held a bold and steady tone. "This person is my brother-in-law."

The room fell into stunned silence. One of the officers, in disbelief, asked, "What did you just say?"

Es’s voice grew a little louder, more resolute. "This person is my brother-in-law. He’s my childhood friend’s husband and my childhood friend."

The revelation hung in the air, and the room seed to still as everyone processed what had just been said. Eyes darted between Es and Aron. Even the Aron brothers’ usual composed deanor faltered slightly, with surprise mirrored in the officers’ faces. It was a twist no one had expected, adding layers to the already complex web of accusations.

"So he’s her childhood friend... and yet he hates her this much?" one of the officers murmured, almost in disbelief. "Wow."

The tension in the room grew thick as everyone absorbed Es’s words. The officers exchanged uncertain glances, their minds racing to adjust to this new revelation. The elders, not backing down, clung to their indignation.

One of the more agitated elders slamd his cane on the floor, his voice rising. "So what if he’s your brother-in-law? That doesn’t change anything! That just makes this more suspicious. Who hires family without any proper checks? You’re hiding sothing!" His accusatory tone sharpened the air, his words feeding the doubts that had started to swirl around the room.
