Aron brothers rushed outside, their breaths coming in ragged gasps as they piled into the car. The tension was palpable, heavy in the air between them. Every second felt like an eternity as they sped towards the city hospital. After twenty agonizing minutes, they finally arrived.
Their faces were pale, etched with worry and exhaustion, but none of them paused to catch their breath. They burst through the hospital’s front doors, the sterile sll of disinfectant and the low hum of machines barely registering in their frantic state. Aron led the way, his heart thudding in his chest as he darted towards the side corridor.
Without a second thought, he grabbed Jay’s arm and yanked him, pulling everyone with him into a small, dimly lit side room near the ergency passage. The suddenness of the movent caused Jay to stumble, shaking Aron’s hand off as he regained his balance.
"What the heck, Aron?" Jay exclaid, his voice louder than intended, a mix of frustration and confusion swirling in his eyes.
Aron quickly raised a finger to his lips, signaling for silence, then pointed towards the nearby staircase. Aron brothers, confused but trusting, followed the direction of his hand, but Jay wasn’t convinced.
"Are you crazy?" Jay hissed, his face incredulous. "We don’t even have that much ti! And you want us to take the stairs?" His voice rose in disbelief, his eyes wide with the urgency of the situation.
Aron was about to explain when Ray, standing a few feet away, stepped in.
"Listen," Ray interrupted, his voice calm but firm. "If we go through the main hallway or the elevator, people will find out that the Aron family’s young masters are at the hospital. You know what that would an, right? It’ll cause unnecessary attention, and we can’t afford that right now. Not with Es in the condition she’s in."
Ray’s words hung in the air like a lead weight, and the reality of the situation hit them all at once. The last thing they needed was for rumors to start swirling, especially considering the sensitive nature of what had happened. Their family na carried weight, and any sign of vulnerability would be exploited.
other Aron brothers glanced at each other, their expressions shifting from confusion to grim understanding. In their rush, they had completely forgotten about the implications of being seen, of the eyes always watching, waiting for a mont of weakness. They nodded in agreent, the gravity of the situation sinking in.
"Ray’s right," Kai muttered under his breath, casting a wary glance around the hospital. "We need to move quietly. No attention."
With a silent agreent, they all turned toward the staircase. The air was thick with tension as they began their ascent, each step feeling heavier than the last. Aron led the way, his movents quick and precise, the adrenaline coursing through his veins. His mind was a storm of worry for Es, the unknown of her condition gnawing at him.
The hospital’s fluorescent lights flickered above them as they climbed, their footsteps echoing softly in the enclosed stairwell. Aron’s pulse was pounding in his ears, but he forced himself to stay calm. The last thing Es needed was for them to lose their heads now.
"We’re almost there," Aron muttered under his breath, more to reassure himself than anyone else.
They reached the floor where Es was being treated, and as they moved toward her room, their hearts felt like they were in their throats.
Aron’s expression was tense, his jaw clenched, but there was a sense of grim familiarity in his movents. He didn’t hesitate as he rushed forward, throwing open the door with force. The door slamd against the wall, the sound reverberating down the hall.
Standing at the entrance, Helga was poised, her body tensed like she was prepared for a fight. Her eyes were sharp, watchful, but she didn’t make a move. It was as if she had sensed Aron’s steps approaching long before he had entered the room. Her presence was commanding, yet restrained, as if she was guarding sothing—or soone.
But Aron brothers, who followed closely behind him, weren’t as composed. As they stepped inside, their faces froze. A collective breath seed to escape them all at once, their eyes widening in disbelief.
There, on the hospital bed, lay Es. She was bound to the bed by thick straps, her wrists and ankles secured tightly, the leather biting into her skin. Her hands had turned an angry shade of red from the restraint, a painful contrast against the pale, trembling skin of her arms. She writhed on the bed, her body twisting and jerking as if trapped in a nightmare she couldn’t escape.
Tears stread down her face, glistening in the harsh fluorescent light of the hospital room, but her eyes remained tightly shut. She wasn’t conscious, yet she fought against sothing unseen, sothing inside her mind. Each movent looked agonizing, her body shuddering as if in imnse pain, yet there was no sound from her lips. It was a silent tornt, her only release being the tears that continued to spill from the corners of her eyes.
Her husbands stood motionless, unable to comprehend the scene before them. They had expected to find Es in distress, but nothing could have prepared them for this. The straps around her wrists and ankles were so tight they had begun to cut into her skin, leaving red welts in their wake. Her hands twitched uncontrollably, straining against the binds as if trying to free herself from the invisible demons that plagued her.
Aron brothers heart clenched painfully in his chest. This was more than just physical suffering—Es was trapped in a nightmare far beyond anything they could reach. His breath quickened, and without thinking, he stepped forward, their mind racing for answers. The brothers remained frozen, their faces drained of color, unable to tear their eyes away from Es’s tortured form.
"Es," Ray whispered, his voice barely audible. But she didn’t hear him. She was lost, deep in whatever terror held her captive.
