Chapter 83: Chapter 83 Fight Chapter 83: Chapter 83 Fight Lu Qingyan stopped playing basketball.

He looked toward the entrance.

Jiang Nanshu had a look of utter despair as his gaze fell on Su Ran.

When he felt her eyes on him, Lu Qingyan quickly averted his gaze.

“Yun Chuan, your sister is here,” Yang Jiashu nudged Jiang Yunchuan with his elbow.

Jiang Yunchuan had known already; he had noticed when he heard his sister’s thoughts.

He looked at Su Ran, who seed as pure as a goddess, and couldn’t help but twitch the corners of his mouth.

Because Su Ran had co to the finance departnt, Lu Qingyan’s books, which she had knocked over in the morning, he hadn’t asked for any of them back.

He was going to register for the international mathematics competition in a while, and the workbook contained all the problems he had worked on.

Not wanting to encounter Su Ran again, he had called the two of them here to play basketball in the indoor gym. He didn’t expect that less than half an hour in, Su Ran would be escorted in; Cheng An was a devoted guardian of flowers.

And the reason for Su Ran’s presence was that she had taken up a part-ti role as a “trainee teacher” for the dance departnt.

She was asked to spare a fraction of her ti to teach these freshman students to dance.

Even though their eting was accidental, the coincidence was uncanny.

But since Lu Qingyan hadn’t said anything, they could only pretend they hadn’t seen them and continue playing basketball.

What they hadn’t expected was that Jiang Nanshu was here too!

Those unaware would think Lu Qingyan was there intentionally.

Jiang Yunchuan saw Jiang Nanshu’s look, wiped his sweat, and asked quietly, “Brother Yan, should I explain things to my sister?”

Lu Qingyan tossed the basketball to soone else, lifted his shirt to wipe his sweat, and said coolly, “No need.”

Yang Jiashu: “…” Is it really that hard to say a few more words?

He was tired of seeing the scenes of carnage that ensued every ti Jiang Nanshu bumped into Su Ran.

And that idiot Cheng An.

Standing in the dance area like a lovelorn fool.

He never knew that their elite circles really did produce such lapdogs; the forr Jiang Yunchuan was one of them.

Chasing Lin Yueyue for two years, ssaging her daily without fail, perhaps it’s that flawed nature of n, desiring what they can’t have—greeting her every single day, buying gifts even for Lin Yueyue’s distant cousin.

Licking boots to no end.

But now, it seed he had an epiphany overnight.

Of course, what qualitative change had occurred to Jiang Yunchuan, the lapdog, was beyond his knowledge.

Then there was the other lapdog, Cheng An.

It wasn’t so obvious three years ago when they were still in high school.

Just that he would take extra care of Su Ran, under the noble claim of looking after “sister-in-law.”

In their circle, Su Ran and Lu Qingyan were regarded as an item long ago.

After Lu Qingyan and Su Ran went their separate ways, Cheng An also sulked and lay low for a while.

Only when Su Ran returned to the country did he beco active again.

Su Ran’s exact return was three months prior, parachuting into a network drama crew; at that ti, she had only contacted Cheng An. Later, when the ti was right, the news of her return was fully blown.

The next day, Jiang Nanshu attempted suicide by jumping into the river.

Yang Jiashu also tossed his basketball to the side, looking at Jiang Nanshu as he directly approached Su Ran, sowhat worried, “Yun Chuan, if your sister gets hit hard again, do you think she might try to kill herself?”

Jiang Yunchuan: “…Probably not.”

Who could get to her.

Just like right now.

“I’ll co ss you up!”

“Should I go slide tackle her later?”

“Never mind, falling must hurt a lot, I’m scared of pain.”

Jiang Yunchuan: “…”

Look at her, fearless, even eager to try.

Worried sothing might actually happen, he wanted to check it out and help Jiang Nanshu if necessary.

But as he approached the crowd, Cheng An blocked him: “What do you want to do? Such bad luck, wherever Ranran is, there she is sticking to her like a plaster. And also, Jiang Yunchuan, it’s Jiang Nanshu who wants to be involved herself, so don’t be blind and bla Ranran.”

Jiang Yunchuan: “…”

Nothing had even happened yet, and he’s already so protective.

His brows furrowed: “Cheng An, I haven’t even settled the score with you for that video, and you still have the nerve to show up.”

Cheng An glanced at Lu Qingyan, who was playing basketball focused, then uncomfortably shifted his gaze back and stiffened his neck: “Why should I be embarrassed? You should ask your sister if she has any sha, if it weren’t for the Lu family suppressing the news, do you think she could still stay at school? She would have already been hung out to dry on the school forum and called a slut.”

Cheng An’s tone revealed a sense of satisfaction.

He was never a gentleman to begin with, wanting to crush those he disliked.

Jiang Yunchuan’s eyes reddened with anger, and unable to hold back, he punched Cheng An in the face. Cheng An fell to the ground with a thud, attracting the attention of everyone present.

“You fucking animal, even if you’re reckless, you ought to have so limits. My sister is a girl, not even nineteen yet, how could you bear to do this, wanting to destroy her.” Jiang Yunchuan pounced on Cheng An.

Cheng An, initially on the defensive, fought back.

Yang Jiashu stopped playing ball to break up the fight: “What’s going on with you two? Why start fighting out of nowhere? Stop fighting.”

Jiang Nanshu couldn’t even bother to trouble Su Ran anymore.

Just now, Da Shachun had given her a suggestion, to accidentally knock over Su Ran and then argue about it, a tactic likely to draw others’ disdain.

But before she could act, a fight broke out behind her.

Su Ran was quicker than her. She pushed past Jiang Yunchuan to help Cheng An up, her beautiful eyes filled with anger: “Yun Chuan, why are you hitting Anzi? Are you going to throw away years of friendship just like that?”

Jiang Yunchuan was helped up by Yang Jiashu. He wiped his bleeding lips, his eyes scornful: “Friendship? What friendship do we have with him? His so-called friendship ans he can betray his brothers for a woman, right? What use do I have for that kind of friendship? Just so he can stab in the back later and make feel sick.”

Su Ran’s face turned pale, then flushed. She glanced at Lu Qingyan, seeing his brows slightly furrowed and a deep, inscrutable mood in his dark eyes.

Biting her lip, Su Ran found herself at a loss for words from Jiang Yunchuan’s rebuke.

Seeing Su Ran upset, Cheng An couldn’t sit still and retorted with mockery: “It’s better without it. I’m afraid of being hard by soone who can’t even control his venomous sister; great, next ti, I won’t show any rcy for your sake either.”

Jiang Nanshu: “???”

She’s never been one for underhanded tactics.

Seeing Jiang Yunchuan glaring with anger provoked by Cheng An, Jiang Nanshu imdiately switched gears, transforming into a protective sister-on-the-warpath.

She dashed in front of Jiang Yunchuan, pushed Su Ran aside, and in the midst of Cheng An’s astonished gaze, she slapped him resoundingly on the ear.

With watery eyes, Jiang Nanshu accused first: “I won’t let you speak ill of my brother. If you bully him again, don’t bla for making you rue the day.”

“Wow, that felt so good, I’ve been wanting to slap him for a while, now I got my chance, heehee.”

Yang Jiashu was stunned.

He didn’t know… that Jiang Nanshu could be so fragile… yet fierce.

Looking at Jiang Yunchuan’s dazed reaction, he probably didn’t expect Jiang Nanshu to stand up and protect him either.
